ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

Even start.  BARNIE BOUCHEAU was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  CRACKLIN’ ROSIE checked off SWEET TALKIN GAL and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BARNIE BOUCHEAU checked off IN THE DOCK and lost ground in the front straight.

MARK HEATH MAIDEN 380M

Even start with OCTAVIAN and RAIL GUN marginally slow to begin.  VELOCITY HEZZA checked off SIR REGINALD on the turn out of the back straight resulting in VELOCITY HEZZA losing considerable ground causing interference to TINK ALLEN and RAIL GUN.  GUNNADOO COBRA raced wide in the home straight.

 

Stewards questioned the racing manners of GUNNADOO COBRA in particular the concluding stages of the race.  Trainer N. Maynard was advised that the benefit of a doubt would be afforded to the greyhound.

MARINA FRESH SEAFOODS NOVICE 380M

VELOCITY AIM was the best to begin.  BON ECHO and SCOTTIE’S GIRL were slow to begin.  GAGAN LASSOO and JESSICA’S MONEY bumped shortly after the start.  GAGAN LASSOO and SCOTTIE’S GIRL bumped in the back straight.  VELOCITY AIM raced wide into the home straight.  ABRAHAM KEEPING and GAGAN LOSSOO raced wide in the home straight.

ROSSVALE FISH & BURGER BAR 5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  BEHM and FARMOR KNOCKA’S bumped prior to turning into the front straight resulting in BEHM checking across the heels of FARMOR KNOCKA’S.  RHONDA’S DYNO, MAYWYN MOOLA and EBONY SPECIAL raced wide in the home straight.

PANDO’S GREYHOUND COMPLEX 4/5th GRADE 380M

Trainer J. Barrow was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 86 (o) for presenting MAYWYN’S ACE to race with the incorrect rug.

 

ASA ENSEE FLY was the best to begin.  STARZAR GOLD was slow to begin.  STARZAR GOLD checked off CRUSHED ICE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  EUNICE LILLIAN checked off MAYWYN’S ACE and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.

6.

LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS 4th GRADE 380M

PATJACK LOMAR was the best to begin.

 

LISTEN checked off the heels of MAYWYN WEALTH and lost round on the turn out of the back straight.

 

PATJACK LOMAR checked off FREDRIK on the turn into the front straight resulting in BOOTYDO being tightened on to the running rail and falling causing interference to LISTEN.

 

MAYWYN WEALTH and PATJACK LOMAR bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in MAYWYN WEALTH becoming unbalanced and racing wide into the front straight.

 

LISTEN checked across the heels of BLUEFIRE CHALICE entering the front straight.

7.

DES HEATH 4/5th GRADE 498M

SPUDNUT was the best to begin.  TREADSTONE CAIN was slow to begin.  ROCKET’S MAGIC crossed from a wide position on the first turn after the start tightening ASA TOP AGENT in on to ASA EXTREME on to DEBORAH ROSE resulting in the three greyhounds losing ground and causing interference to TREADSTONE CAIN.  ASA TOP AGENT improved on to the heels of TREADSTONE CAIN on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

PAULA HEATH BEST 8 380M

Even start.  MAKE THE SWITCH lost ground in the back straight and finished a distant last.  A veterinary inspection revealed an off hind fracture.  SNEAKIN’ ROUND checked off BRIGHT REBEL and lost ground in the back straight.  BRIGHT REBEL improved on to the heels of COSMIC FREEZE on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  GUNNADOO DELTA and DIVVY UP raced wide in the home straight.

9.

TOWNSVILLE EARTHMOVING 5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  SNAKE PROOF was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  BELLA MARLO checked off THANK YOU POP and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  FACE TIME and ASA EL CHAPPO  bumped heavily after turning out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.

 

ASA EL CHAPPO lost ground sharply in the front straight appearing injured.  A veterinary inspection revealed an off hind muscle injury.

LORRAINE HEATH 5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  LITE BEAM and SLEEPY MIME bumped shortly after the start resulting in LITE BEAM losing ground.  CHIEF START improved on to the heels of JACOBITE PHANTOM on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  MID WESTERN GIRL checked across the heels of CHIEF START on the turn into the front straight.  WORLD’S GREATEST, JACOBITE PHANTOM and WIND TRACKER raced wide in the home straight.
