TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 380m

The greyhound MUMBLES MURRAY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 380m in a time of 22.15 seconds and is now cleared all tracks except Warragul and Cairns.

 

The greyhound PERFECT SISTER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 380m in a time of 22.15 seconds and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane.

 

RACE REPORTS

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

COOPER’S LESSON and CORONA MISS were best to begin.  Leaving the back straight NORTHUMBERLAND, PEARSON PRIDE and REBELETTE were all severely checked.  PEARSON PRIDE and REBELETTE both fell and took no further competitive part in the event.  Approaching the top turn PARTY FOR TWO shifted out across the running of KNOCKA SHEEHAN. Both greyhounds were severely checked.

 

The greyhound PEARSON PRIDE was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.

 

The greyhound REBELETTE was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.

BOHLE BARN MAIDEN 380M

VELOCITY HEZZA and ALWAYS A DIVA both began well.  INDISPENSABLE dwelt at the start.  Approaching the top turn GIVEAWAY LASS and RUN ZAHLI were both checked after improving onto the heels of VELOCITY HEZZA which was losing ground at that point.

RAZOR CREW NOVICE 380M

FARMOR BRING IT, PINK CADILLAC and JASPER ROSE all began well.  CRACKLIN’ ROSIE dwelt at the start.  Approaching the top turn FARMOR BRING IT and VINDICATION came together.  VINDICATION lost momentum and significant ground as a result.

 

The greyhound VINDICATION, which was vetted post race, was found to have sustained a near hind hamstring injury in running and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

4.

KOOPA OLSEN 5th GRADE 380M

PEPPA PIG CLOUD and FARMOR GREENIES both began well.  VELOCITY KYZON dwelt at the start.  Approaching the top turn TANGI MION shifted in checking the running of ZIPPING CARLTON and SNAKE PROOF.  SNAKE PROOF lost significant ground.  Soon after TANGI MION which was continuing to shift in further inconvenienced the running of ZIPPING CARLTON.

GOLDENVIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE 380M

ELUSIVE DIVA was tightened for running soon after the start.  Leaving the back straight RAISE ‘EM UP and VELOCITY AIM were both checked.  Approaching the top turn BIG BAD BLOCKER was checked off the heels of OSCAR TANGO.

MINNIE HEATH 4/5th GRADE 498M

BLUEFIRE CHALICE dwelt at the start.  MID WESTERN GIRL and BLUEFIRE CHALICE came together through the catching pen.  BLUEFIRE CHALICE was severely checked losing significant ground.  Leaving the catching pen SPUDNUT and PATJACK LOMAR came together.  PATJACK LOMAR became unbalanced.  Approaching the top turn MID WESTERN GIRL shifted in inconveniencing the running of THANK YOU POP.

7.

NQ CRD TUNING & PERFORMANCE 3/4th GRADE 380M

FARMOR TO DO and CARLYLE TYCOON both began well.  MOO MOO shifted out abruptly at the start inconveniencing the running of SHINEY THINGS.  AMY’S ELITE was checked in the back straight.  Approaching the top turn SHINEY THINGS shifted out abruptly across the running of GAGAN ELL.  At the home turn POISED TO POUNCE shifted in checking the running of CARLYLE TYCOON.

 

When questioned in relation to the seemingly improved performance of the greyhound FARMOR TO DO Trainer Ms. R Essery stated that she had done little with the greyhound in the previous 7 days other than straight track work at home in an attempt to freshen it up.  Ms. Essery advised that she had expected a more forward showing tonight with luck in running but had not supported the greyhound.

BLASTER PARK RACING 5th GRADE FINAL 498M

BON ECHO was slowly away.  Through the catching pen FACE TIME, ASA EL CHAPPO and KEZZA’S SPIRIT were all checked.  KEZZA’S SPIRIT fell and took no further part in the event.  Approaching the top turn FACE TIME shifted in inconveniencing the running of BON ECHO.

 

The greyhound KEZZA’S SPIRIT was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.

9.

YVONNE OLSEN 5th GRADE 380M

Approaching the top turn I’M ALICE shifted in severely checking the running of AT THE NECK. FARMOR KABOOM which was following was also inconvenienced.  MONKEY’S UNCLE and I’M ALICE came together at the home turn. I’M ALICE became unbalanced and raced wide.  MISS GRAND THEFT and AT THE NECK were both wide on straightening.

10.

HUGHENDEN CARTAGE 5th GRADE 380M

The start of this event was delayed whilst Stewards held for another venue.

 

JACOBITE PHANTOM was best to begin.  ROAD STAR dwelt at the start. JACOBITE PHANTOM and ROAD STAR came together on straightening.  Both greyhounds were unbalanced.
