1.

AGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

Trainer R. Essery was fined $50 under the provisions of Gar 39 for presenting SKY BOND to race with a weight variation outside the requirement6s of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently SKY BOND was a late scratching from the race.

 

Even start with PRANCING MISS and ZIPPING STAR slow to begin.  REBELETTE stood in the boxes as the start was effected missing the start by 20 metres. REBELETTE was stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory performance.  VELOCITY HEZZA was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  ZIPPING STAR checked off SAINT’S CHARM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ZIPPING STAR continued to lose ground to finish a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed a triceps muscle injury.  VELOCITY HEZZA raced wide in the home straight.

Even start with GUNNADOO TWIST slow to begin.  ABRAHAM KEEPING checked off PEARSON PRIDE and lost ground shortly after the start.  GUNNADOO TWIST checked off KNOCKA SHEEHAN and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to ZAMBEZI GIRL.  GUNNADOO TWIST was tightened between WATCH THE MAGIC and ZAMBEZI GIRL prior to turning into the front straight.  ABRAHAM KEEPING raced wide in the home straight.

MINNIE HEATH NOVICE 380M

Trainer G. Thomson was fined $50 under the provisions of Gar 39 for presenting GOJO MOJO to race with a weight variation outside the requirement6s of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently GOJO MOJO was a late scratching from the race.

 

LISTEN GAPTAIN was the best to begin.  SWIFT BERNARD was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  MARTIAL checked off SWIFT BERNARD and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to LISTEN CAPTAIN.  SWIFT BERNARD checked off the heels of PERFECT SISTER and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.  I’M A GIFT and PERFECT SISTER bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in some inconvenience to PERFECT SISTER forcing that greyhound to race wide.

Even start with BUENOS CLOUD and SPRING CLOVER slow to begin.  JACOBITE PHANTOM checked off BUENOS CLOUD and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to MISS GRAND THEFT.  RAZOR ROSE raced wide in the home straight.

MICHAEL PANDELAKIS 0 – 3 WINS 498M

DIAMOND FIESTA was the best to begin.  ARMADA was slow to begin.  CHILL JILL, JESSICA’S MONEY and CHATAWAY bumped on the first turn after the start resulting in CHILL JILL and JESSICA’S MONEY becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.

JUDY OLSEN 4/5th GRADE 380M

Even start with FROM THE TAP, ZIPPER IT MACCA and DIAMOND OLLIE slow to begin.  CYCLONE ROSIE was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  MADADAM and ZIPPER IT MACCA bumped heavily approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  FROM THE TAP checked off BRUTON MISS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to ZIPPER IT MACCA, CYCLONE ROSIE, DIAMOND OLLIE and MADADAM.  DIAMOND OLLIE checked across the heels of ZIPPER IT MACCA entering the front straight.

JUST PERFECT KITCHENS 4th GRADE 380M

Even start.  UNIVERSAL ONE checked off AT THE NECK and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  AT THE NECK and EASY OFF raced wide into the home straight.

Even start with NEVILLE ROSE and VELOCITY KYZON slow to begin.  THANK YOU POP, CHIEF START and DEBORAH ROSE bumped on the first turn after the start resulting in THANK YOU POP falling and interference to DEBORAH ROSE and CHIEF START.  ASA ABBANDANDO raced wide in the home straight.

Even start.  BIG BAD BLOCKER and SHINEY THINGS bumped heavily on the turn out of the back straight resulting in SHINEY THINGS falling and taking no further part in the race.  FACE TIME checked across the heels of BIG BAD BLOCKER and lost ground prior to turning into the front straight.

BOHLE BARN HOTEL MOTEL 5th GRADE 380M

HOLLIER THAN THOU was the best to begin.  General tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in the majority of the field being inconvenienced.  EL MALAMUTE checked off the heels of MISS LARDIE DA and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  KNOCKIN’ BLUE and MUTLEY ON FRIDAY bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in MUTLEY ON FRIDAY becoming unbalanced causing interference to HOLLIER THAN THOU.  KNOCKIN’ BLUE checked across the heels of MISS LARDIE DA entering the front straight.

GARY HEATH 5th GRADE 380M

SPRING TOPAZ was the best to begin.  MAGIC CHAOS and SPUDNUT were slow to begin.  SPUDNUT improved on to the heels of TEMNICK in the back straight resulting in SPUDNUT losing ground.  VELOCITY LAVINIA was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  FREDRIK and LIBERTY LEGS bumped entering the front straight resulting in both greyhounds being inconvenienced.

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE 380M

Trainer R. Essery was fined $50 under the provisions of Gar 39 for presenting STILL COMING to race with a weight variation outside the requirement6s of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently STILL COMING was a late scratching from the race.  WOOZIE DOOZIE was the best to begin.  GUNNADOO COBRA raced wide on the turn into the front straight.  Stewards questioned the racing manners of GUNNADOO COBRA in the front straight.  After viewing the film and speaking with the trainer Ms N. Maynard GUNNADOO COBRA, under the provisions of GAR 69A, was stood down from racing for a period of 3 months and the completion of a satisfactory trial (2nd offence) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  FAMOUR REBEL raced wide over the concluding stages of the race.
