ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN  - 380M

Even start with SILVER SNIPER and ORBILICIOUS slow to begin.

 

GO PEBBLES GO checked off BULL DANCE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

GO PEBBLES GO and BIRR bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in GO PEBBLES GO becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.

 

ORBILICIOUS and STRONG ENOUGH bumped just prior to the finish.

BURDEKIN VET SERVICES NOVICE – 380M

BIG HUEY was the best to begin.

 

General tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in NO THANK YOU losing considerable ground and RHONDA’S BEAR almost falling and losing considerable ground. 

 

Shortly after WICKED BROTHER and CHEEKY KAYA were tightened for racing room and lost ground.

 

NO THANK YOU improved on to heels of GROOVY SWEET on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground causing GROOVY SWEET to race wide into the straight.

O’REILLY PETFOOD 5TH GRADE (1) – 380M

Even start with MR. MACGREGOR and KICKING KARMAR slow to begin.

 

RHONDA’S YOGI checked off FANCY A BEER on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

 

FANCY A BEER shifted out on the turn into the front straight forcing RHONDA’S YOGI to race wide.

4.

QUALITY TIMBERS MAREEBA MIXED 4/5 – 380M

RONRAY FLAME was the best to begin.

 

BOYS ROUND HERE and DOWNTOWN PIXIE were tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

 

BEAMING BOUNCER checked off RHONDA’S DOUGIE and lost ground approaching the turn into the front straight.

 

BOYS ROUND HERE shifted out across the heels of RONRAY FLAME to race wide on the turn into the front straight causing some inconvenience to RHONDA’S DOUGIE.

 

ALL FUELED UP and RONRAY FLAME bumped in the front straight causing some inconvenience to both greyhounds.

 

Stewards questioned trainer G. Olsen in relation to the apparent poor performance of BOYS ROUND HERE compared to its previous six starts.  Mr Olsen stated that the dog is not a good beginner and that the majority of his good form had been from an inside box, drawn mainly 1 and 2, and that starting from box 5 was not the best position to start from knowing that the dog is slow away.  Mr Olsen’s comments were noted.

5.

CAROL RICHARDS 5TH GRADE – 498M

Even start with ALPHA HECTOR slow to begin.

 

General tightened occurred on the first turn after the start resulting in NO NOT ME, BROTHER ROB, SLIDING DOORS and ALPHA HECTOR all losing ground.

 

FARINGDON checked off TINA SIERRA and lost ground entering the back straight.

6.

JUST PERFECT KITCHENS 4TH GRADE – 380M

ROCKIN’ TONIGHT was the best to begin.  MR. CANNA was slow to begin.

 

NOT A WORD checked off GO PRANCER GO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

MR. CANNA raced wide on the turn into the front straight.

 

GO PRANCER GO checked across the heels of WAYNE OUTWIDE entering the front straight resulting in both greyhounds being inconvenienced.

MCGUIRES RACING MIXED 3/4 – 380M

LICORICE SHOT was the best to begin.  NOVA PARTY was slow to begin.

 

LOCHIELLE checked off ROAD MONSTER and fell on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to LEAD CONTENDED, NOVA PARTY and CASEY MINI ME.

 

ROAD MONSTER raced wide into the front straight.

WEE WIN KENNELS BEST 8 – 380M

GOLD TOTAL and INNOCENT MAN were the best to begin.

 

WILLY ROCKEY checked off MR. MERV and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Shortly after MR. MERV checked off GOLD TOTAL and lost ground resulting in interference to the majority of the field.

 

BUNDY CUTTER and FERAL CHERAL raced wide in the front straight

HICKMOTT’S CARPENTRY MAINTENANCE 5TH GRADE (2) – 380M

The race was run in heavy rain.

 

Even start.

 

MAGIC DOUG checked off GOOD PEOPLE and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.

 

RIMBA SAMBIA and OLDMATE GRETEL bumped heavily entering the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.
