General: The track was power harrowed yesterday to a depth of 50mm. As a result, race times today may be slower than normal.

 

 

Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 380m

 

3 Urana Lot – Dragged down by another runner approaching the home turn and lost ground.

 

4 Drummer – Late scratching at kennelling due to a weight variation GAR101(1). The greyhound will be stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

5 Sonic Blue – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

 

6 Santa Maria – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground.

 

9 Woke Fiction (7) – Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

 

 

Race 2 - JUST PERFECT KITCHENS NOVICE 380m

 

1 Amarillo Slim – Marginally slow to begin. Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

 

2 Piazza Minerva – Clipped on the heels by another runner at the top of the home straight.

 

4 Wolf Hall – Slow to begin.

 

7 Piazza Rotonda – Clipped the heels of another runner at the top of the home straight.

 

 

Race 3 - JAYSON JOHNS 0-3 WINS 498m

 

1 Noble Ability – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

2 Ponte Santangelo – Shortened stride approaching the home turn. Took several awkward strides and bumped with another runner approaching the finishing line. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the near hind hamstring and was stood down from racing for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Rhonda Essery regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn and, in the home straight. After reviewing the video footage and taking into consideration that the greyhound had sustained an injury during the race, Stewards gave Ponte Santangelo the benefit of the doubt that it had contravened any rule.

 

3 Just Don't Smoke – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

5 At The Office – Bumped with another runner several times approaching the finishing line.

 

6 Stressful Nut – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

8 Bogie Millie – Raced wide in the back straight and through the turn off the back straight.

 

 

Race 4 - INGHAM ROAD SEAFOOD 1-4 WINS HEAT 1 1-4 WINS 380m

 

1 Stings To Burn – Tightened for racing room approaching the home turn and was severely checked losing considerable ground.

 

3 Lock Cracker – Dragged down by another runner approaching the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

4 Dennis Denuto – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and lost considerable ground.

 

5 Pebble's Legacy – Bumped by another runner approaching the first turn and was severely checked losing considerable ground.

 

7 Glen Gavan – Bumped heavily by another runner approaching the home turn and was checked losing ground.

 

8 Winter Snow – Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the home turn.

 

 

Race 5 - JACK LYNCH GRADE 5 380m

 

2 Danyo's Clint – Very slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

 

3 Seat's Taken – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

 

7 Bone Collector – Raced wide through the home turn.

 

8 Good Old Sam – Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the home turn.

 

 

Race 6 - DES HEATH GRADE 4 380m

 

1 Mack's Payne – Marginally slow to begin.

 

2 Blackpool Coco – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

5 Impress Troy – Took a few awkward strides rounding the first turn and weakened shortly after finishing the race a distant last. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the nearside triceps and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

6 Astor – Marginally slow to begin.

 

 

Race 7 - CIGNALL GARBUTT MIXED 3/4 380m

 

1 Jungle Fever – Slow to begin. Raced wide through the home turn and throughout the remainder of the race.

 

3 Inconsequential – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

4 Memory Lane – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

6 Zipping Sixes – Late scratching at kennelling due to a weight variation GAR101(1). The greyhound will be stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

7 Aston Galahad – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

Race 8 - GLEN & NARELLS LUCKIE BEST 8 380m

 

3 Young Rob – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

 

6 Samshu – Commenced to weaken shortly after the start and finished the race a distant last. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

8 Emma Moo Moo – Raced wide through the home turn and throughout the remainder of the race.

 

 

Race 9 - PUGWASH PAINTING 1-4 WINS HEAT 2 1-4 WINS 380m

 

2 Saruman – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

6 Never But Always – Slow to begin. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn and lost ground.

 

7 Velocity Viola – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

8 Dual Custody – Bumped by another runner rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner approaching the home turn and was checked losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

1 Fat Jack – Bumped with another runner at the top of the home straight.

 

2 Whiskey Diva – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner at the top of the home straight. 

 

3 Stressful Day – Bumped by another runner rounding the home turn and was checked losing ground.

 

4 Return To Me – Slow to begin.

 

5 Laffey's Beach – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the home turn and was checked losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

7 Barefoot Diva – Raced wide through the home turn and throughout the remainder of the race.

 

 

Race 11 - SKY RACING 1-4 WINS HEAT 4 1-4 WINS 380m

 

4 Amber's Amber – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.
