2 Big Ram – Checked off another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide into the front straight.

 

3 Calibration – Checked off another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 Fortune Of War – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

5 Miss Alira – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner entering the front straight.

 

6 Wild Rumour – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

8 Midnight Image – Slow to begin.

 

 

Race 2 - LOVESY & WAWA NOVICE 380m

 

1 Urana Lot – Bumped by another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

2 Southern Plains – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

7 Frankie's Vision – Checked off another runner, became unbalanced and bumped another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight. 

 

8 Kiah Beach – Slow into stride as the start was affected.

 

 

Race 3 - NQ MARINA FRESH SEAFOOD GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

1 Hidden Haze – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

2 Aston Mateo – Improved on to the hindquarters of another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

3 Where's The Gap – Checked across heels on the turn into the front straight.

 

5 Mystical Zeal – Checked from behind by another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

6 Hypo Harry – Slow to begin.

 

9 (8) San Giovanni – Raced wide in the front straight.

 

 

Race 4 - CIGNALL GARBUTT GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

1 Dennis Denuto – Slow to begin.

 

2 Sunset Bardot – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Shifted out to race wide into the front straight.

 

5 Glen Gavan – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

8 Ryan's Pick – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

 

Race 5 - MATTHEW ASHELFORD BEST 8 380m

 

2 Daisy Moments – Bumped another runner entering the front straight.

 

5 Quinn Bale – Bumped another runner entering the front straight.  Fell in the catching pen.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

8 Lost In Lantana – Slow to begin.

 

 

Race 6 - LACHLAN ALBION GRADE 5 498m

 

2 Just Don't Smoke – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

 

4 Foxy One – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

 

 

Race 7 - JEFF LYNCH MIXED 3/4 498m

 

6 Paw Baby – Forced wide by another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. 

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Paw Baby (L. Wode) in relation to the performance of the greyhound tonight compared with its previous form.  The trainer advised that, in his opinion, the run was below par however, he further stated that the greyhound was up in grade starting from Box 6 compared with previous inside box draws.  He was further stated that it was his intention to give the greyhound some time off in preparation for the Townsville Cup.  The trainer’s explanations were noted.

 

7 Destructive Riot – Forced another runner wide on the turn into the front straight. 

Stewards questioned the racing manners of Destructive Riot, in particular, on the turn into the front straight.  Trainer K. Boody stated that after viewing the film he was satisfied that the greyhound failed to perform in the desired manner.  Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR124 stood Destructive Riot down from racing from all tracks for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for filing to pursue the lure with due commitment (2nd offence).

 

 

Race 8 - TOWNSVILLE GRAND PRIX FINAL OPEN 498m

 

2 Jungle Fever – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

3 Velocity Nora – Bumped another runner on the turn into the back straight.

 

5 Inconsequential – Tightened for racing room on the turn into the back straight.  Raced wide in the back straight.

 

6 Paulie Walnuts – Bumped another runner on the turn into the back straight.  Bumped and checked off another runner and forced wide entering the back straight.  Checked off another runner in the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

8 Mr. Singha – Bumped and forced another runner wide entering the back straight.

 

 

Race 9 - MAGIC CARPET CLEANING & RESTORATION GRADE 3 380m

 

1 Zipping Sixes – Slow to begin.  Bumped another runner entering the front straight.

 

4 Miss Priddle – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

5 Ringbark Rita – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

6 Zipping Elf – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Checked off heels on the turn into the front straight.

 

7 Talk It Up – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

8 Nangar Bolt – Slow to begin.  Bumped another runner and became unbalanced entering the front straight.

 

 

Race 10 - PARKER RACING KENNELS MIXED 3/4 380m

 

1 Freeney – Bumped and checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

2 Mali's Whitey – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 Canya Whisper – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a puncture wound to the off-hind foot.  A further veterinary examination of the greyhound was conducted on 22 June 2022 revealing a muscle injury to the offside hip.  The greyhound was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

7 Patty's Regret – Bumped and checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

 

Race 11 - BELFORD KENNELS GRADE 4 380m

 

4 Fat Jack – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

 

5 Memory Lane – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

1 Lusty Lovin' – Marginally slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

4 Jackson Rumble – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

6 Mary Now Knows – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

8 Mali's Bullet – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.
