General: The track was harrowed to a depth of 50mm yesterday, as a result today’s race times may be slower.

Prior to the running of Race 10 the Judge’s computer lost power. As a result, an indefinite delay was issued until the power was restored and the computer was restarted and tested. Race 10 was re-scheduled for a start time of 2:51pm.

Race 1 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICE MAIDEN 380m

3 Ginger Jess – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Shaq Owes – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

6 Skedaddle Micky – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn losing considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a bilateral hip injury and was subsequently stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.

7 Rustic Bling – Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

8 Mercurial Dancer – Slow to begin.

Race 2 - HUNNY POT NQ NOVICE 380m

1 Winter Skye – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn.

3 Calibration – Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn and was checked.  

4 She's Our Cruze – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

5 Clown Of Class – Slow to begin.

8 Showtime Hannah – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

9 Shane's Pick (7) – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

Race 3 - CLEVELAND BAY SEAFOOD MA5 380m

1 Danyo's Clint – Slow to begin.

3 Mulga Bill – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight. Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

4 Aston Cash - Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Clipped on the heels by another runner in the back straight.

9 Jack's Rose (6) – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

Race 4 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 380m

1 Dennis Denuto – Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

2 Blackpool Rex – Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

6 Patty's Regret – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

7 Counter Advance – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Put in an awkward step while rounding the home turn.

8 Cornholio – Commenced to weaken shortly after the start, taking no competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards’ spoke to Trainer Mr. M. Pandelakis regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr. Pandelakis was at a loss to explain todays disappointing performance and stated that it is the greyhounds second run back from a spell and is still building race fitness. Mr. Pandelakis advised that he will scratch Cornholio from the upcoming race meeting on Tuesday 31/01/2023 due to the performance today and further advised that he will contact Stewards should any abnormalities become apparent in the coming days which may have affected the greyhounds performance. Stewards declined to take any further action.

Race 5 - TAB 0-4 WINS 498m

2 Piazza Farnese – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked. Clipped on the heels by another runner in the back straight.

3 Shiro Kuma – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked. Clipped on the heels by another runner shortly after the start.

5 Remedy – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight.

8 Piper's Band – While rounding the home turn shifted out towards another runner turning its head outwards. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. H. Ardle regarding the greyhound’s racing actions on the home turn. After hearing Mr. Ardle’s evidence and reviewing the available patrol footage, Stewards deemed the greyhound’s actions to constitute a breach of GAR124(1) Failing to Pursue and subsequently Piper’s Band was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to any future nominations.

Race 6 - #JCOOL AIR CONDITIONING MIXED 4/5 380m

1 Lagoon Camile – Slow to begin.

2 Barefoot Di – Bumped by another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced.

3 Aston Mireya - Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

8 All Ford – Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

9 Renegade Warrior (6) – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Forced to race wide rounding the home turn.

Race 7 - PETER JEPSON MEDIA SERVICES GRADE 4 380m

3 Fat Jack – Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn. Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

4 Memory Lane - Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn.

8 Urana Lot – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 8 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING BEST 8 380m

3 Tail's Up – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the home turn.

4 Daisy Moments – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the home turn.

6 Stressful Hope – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 9 - MAGIC CARPET CLEANING PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 380m

1 Going To Town – Marginally slow to begin. Forced to race wide in the home straight.

2 Petite Gingin – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

3 Londonderry Lady - Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

4 Flat Tyre – Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn. Shifted wider in the home straight, carrying another runner outwards.

5 Elusive Emma – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

8 Mali's Whitey – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 10 - HICKORY INDUSTRIES GRADE 5 (2) 380m

1 Saruman – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

4 Shian Freddy – Marginally slow to begin. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn. Bumped with another runner in the home straight.

5 Where's The King – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside wrist and subsequently the greyhound was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.

6 Captivate – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced.
