At a subsequent inquiry, Jockey A Allen the rider of FAUSTO was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that near the 250m, he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of YANGARI resulting in that runner being forced to check to avoid heels. Jockey Allen’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 16/08/22 and to expire midnight 24/08/22. In assessing penalty Stewards were mindful of Jockey Allen’s prior good record in relation to this rule.  Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
