SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Townsville Thursday 4th August 2022
Race 9 – Townsville Earth Moving Class 6 Handicap 1200 Metres

Stewards today inquired into an incident near the 400 metres where HEIRBORN appeared to blunder. After hearing evidence from W Pike (BRILLIANT MIND), N Thomas (CHIVARGO), L Morrison (HEIRBORN) W D’Avila (DAWN TOO GOOD) and S Wilson (TEMPO) and viewing of the official race footage it was established that HEIRBORN which was racing to the inside of BRILLIANT MIND approaching the 400 metres attempted to shift out obtain clear running brushing that runner which held its ground, as a consequence HEIRBORN improved onto the heels of TEMPO, clipping that runner’s heels and blundered. As stewards deemed no rider responsible no further action was taken.
