Raced three wide with cover in the early stages. Near the 800m, when racing keenly, had to shift outwards away from the heels of KING HAMMURABI, and thereafter raced four wide without cover. When questioned regarding his ride over the final 200m, jockey A. Allen stated that the horse overraced and had to work hard during the race.
