Jumped awkwardly then shifted outwards bumping JAY JAY. Commenced to weaken from the 500m. Rider Nathan Day advised that the gelding travelled well until being placed under pressure in the home straight and failed to respond from that point onwards. Trainer Jared Wehlow advised that the gelding appeared to recover well and an assessment regarding AVOCADO SUNSET’S racing future would be made in consultation with the owners. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
