Jumped out at the start and bumped ATLANTIC ROYAL. Held up rounding the home turn and again near the 200m. When asked to comment on tactics adopted rider B Stewart advised instructions were not to bustle the horse early and to settle where comfortable as the horse had raced keenly when ridden forward last start, adding that from the wide draw today he was obliged to settle one pair further back than preferred. Stewards accepted the explanation.
