Excuse the double pun but the Rhonda Essery-trained LICORICE SHOT has a real shot at taking home the “lollies” at the Townsville Greyhound Racing Club tonight. LICORICE SHOT will jump from box 1 in the McGuires Racing Gr 2/3 (380m) at 9.40pm and is one of 13 greyhounds Rhonda will have racing tonight.
“I gave him a week off after his last start,” Rhonda said.
“He raced up in grade and got a little bit bashed around. Nothing too serious, he was just a little sore... This is a good box for him and I’m hoping he runs well.”
