RACE ONE

NEEDLE (5)
resumes from a freshen after sweeping the McNeil series where her win in the final was all class in cutting the breeze throughout and holding them all off. She is a talented mare and can look to stay undefeated in Qld.

SPIRIT WALKER (2) worked home in the closing stages to grab 2nd behind NEEDLE in the McNeil Final when giving away a 10m deficit from the tapes. Since that she has claimed 2nd at both her runs and meets that same mare from 10m in front. She can throw down the challenge.

LANSBURY (1) started from 20m and worked hard in the run 2 starts back to grab the silver behind STONED AGAIN. A safe beginner that will find good position from the front line and can place.

QUIETLY SPOKEN (7) rolled forward from her 20m impost last start and was forced to work in the run when finishing 3rd, albeit 15m from the winner. That followed successive wins and she wont be far away.

SELECTIONS: NEEDLE (5), SPIRIT WALKER (2), LANSBURY (1), QUIETLY SPOKEN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: NEEDLE (5) to win

RACE TWO

GOT THE GOODS (6) has been runner-up at each of his past 2 starts and been beaten far on either occasion. Last start he set the tempo when looking to take them all the way and was only grabbed late by DARBY BRIGHTS. Under 2m from MAYWYNS COURAGE 2 starts back, he will be hard to stop.

MATRON JUJON (2) was a tidy winner on debut at Redcliffe when finishing strongly to score after starting from the 2nd line. On Thurs at her 2nd start she worked hard in the run when facing the breeze and fought on gamely when 3.5m from the winner. With the added experience she can go close.

VICTREE MIKAYLA (1) will be further improved from her 2nd career run when working home well behind MATRON JUJON at Redcliffe after starting from inside the 2nd line. She sees the front line for the first time and gets her chance.

RUHTREBO (5) resumes for his 3YO term and was last seen when down the line in the 2YO Triad final won by COLT THIRTY ONE. With 1 trial to blow the cobwebs out, he will improve off this.

SELECTIONS: GOT THE GOODS (6), MATRON JUJON (2), VICTREE MIKAYLA (1), RUHTREBO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GOT THE GOODS (6) to win

RACE THREE

MISS MONEYBAGS (4) has been impressive in each of her 3 career wins and shown some versatility by winning the 1st via the passing lane and then her past 2 wins have been when racing tough and proving too strong. Back to her own sex here and from a good alley, she looks to have this.

THATS BETTOR (3) led throughout on debut for a nice win and then 2nd up looked to repeat the dose by leading all the way. Setting a strong tempo and a 56.4 closing 800m, she couldn’t see it out when grabbed late by MISS MONEYBAGS. With the added experience she can go close.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (5) broke her maiden last start when cutting the breeze and pulling clear in the closing stages to score. The gate makes it trick for her in this, but with even luck she can place.

ZARAS ALL GOOD (6) is on debut for Jack Butler and is a Mr Feelgood filly out of the 8-win mare Vaucluse Hanover. She trialled in good order for her 1st race appearance and stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: MISS MONEYBAGS (4), THATS BETTOR (3), MAYWYN NO REGRETS (5), ZARAS ALL GOOD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MONEYBAGS (4) to win

Insufficient exposed form to determine speed map.

RACE FOUR

SLIPASLYGRIN (4)
will be tightened from his latest run when resuming from a break. After a dip for the front he was found running line cover when fading in the closing stages. Fitter from that and with the chance he can find the pegs here the chance to win this very open contest is available.

NOVENA ROSE (7) started fav in her Qld debut last start and after working hard in the run faded out over the latter stages to be well beaten behind THUNDER MAC. That was her 1st start in 6 months and with the added fitness from that, look for an improved effort here despite the wide gate.

BERTILS DELIGHT (1) was luckless 2 starts back at Inverell and then last start was too far back in the run at Armidale. She will get the perfect trip here and just needs some luck to see space with track to work with.

PURE MADNESS (2) looked to take them all the way here 2 starts back and led them into the stretch, only to be grabbed in the closing stages. Last start at Redcliffe she copped heat in front when fading. 1st to the pegs here she will then have the options.

SELECTIONS: SLIPASLYGRIN (4), NOVENA ROSE (7), BERTILS DELIGHT (1), PURE MADNESS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SLIPASLYGRIN (4) to win

RACE FIVE

SMOOTH SHOWGIRL (6) was a FFA winner 2 starts back in Sat night company when sitting at the rear of the field and unleashing a strong sprint to finish over the top. Luckless when trying to improve position last start, she has the fitness edge on a few of these and can swoop late to score.

JACKAROO BROMAC (1) returns from a freshen and has not been far away prior to being eased-up. 4 starts back he was only 4m from CATCHA LEFTY when finishing off strongly from the rear and last start he was charging late behind MAJESTIC MAJOR. From the gate he will be ready to strike.

IDEAL SCOTT (5) worked to the front from gate 2 over the sprint trip 2 starts back and was too sharp in taking them all the way. Forced to work in the run outside AMAJORJO last start, he is right in the mix.

CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (7) has the wide gate to negotiate but he is in super consistent form at present. Finishing top 3 in 13 of 17 this season, his win 3 starts back was a nice effort when sprinting home strongly. Include in the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SMOOTH SHOWGIRL (6), JACKAROO BROMAC (1), IDEAL SCOTT (5), CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SMOOTH SHOWGIRL (6) to win

RACE SIX

RED CHARMER (8)
will need some factors to go her way, but she follows the likely leader and will be coiled and ready to strike when the gaps appear. Too strong from gate 7 when breezing in the heats of this series to score, she will be looking to hit the space with momentum and can take this.

DARBY BRIGHTS (1) was aiming up for the hat-trick in the heats when she couldn’t match the sprint of THE FORMUAL ONE and had to settle for 3rd. Her win 3 starts back when finding the trail from gate 2 was a nice win and while she might need to hustle early will be right in the fight.

THE FORMULA ONE (9) shoots for a hat-trick after a 1780m Redcliffe win was followed by a heat win when using the passing lane to take the heat. Possessing a strong sprint, he can drop to the pegs early and be ready to sprint.

MAYWYNS COURAGE (12) made a mess of the heat when going off stride at the start and ending his chances. He scrapes through to this, yet if he can get it right he is in the mix. His win 3 starts back from the 2nd line was stylish and he must be included in exotics.

SELECTIONS: RED CHARMER (8), DARBY BRIGHTS (1), THE FORMULA ONE (9), MAYWYNS COURAGE (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

JOSSIE JAMES (8) has been costly of late but giving her one last chance here. The 1 looks to have the speed to hold them out which will see her in the trail and ready to sprint when the gaps present. Too far back last start she was winding up when it was too late. This looks her chance.

WHISKEY BLAZE (1) will be 2nd up since joining the Dixon barn and lands the gate to make full advantage of his early speed. A winner 4 starts back when leading throughout at Goulburn his Qld debut was a tidy effort behind BUCKHORN EXCHANGE and he will be gripping on.

BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (9) has been in super touch and added another win last week when sprinting sharply once he was angled into open space. He can drop to the pegs for a cheap ride and will be looking to swoop home again.

MACHIN OUT (6) should appreciate this type of race after meeting some stronger types in recent starts. Last time he was working home well behind CHANTREY and with even luck can feature.

SELECTIONS: JOSSIE JAMES (8), WHISKEY BLAZE (1), BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (9), MACHIN OUT (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

COLD IDEAL (6)
finished off strongly here 5 starts back and arrived to take a 3m victory. His next 2 starts had merit behind some smart ones when 5m behind ELENIARK and then only 1m from OUTLAW FELLA. This looks an open contest and he gets his chance to cash-in.

EXCEPTIONAL MACH (12) has a tricky 2nd line gate to overcome as he lines up for the 100th time in a race. Last start in Sat night claiming company the run was good when working home wide out and only 4m from the winner BROADWAY PLAYBOY. If run to suit he is right in the mix.

TALLYHO BROMAC (8) will be looking for gaps here and if it appears in time he can be charging late. He found the line nicely last start when 3rd to CHANTREY and just needs space to feature.

CORPORAL LUNA (2) last saw the winners enclosure in a race similar to this when charging home late after going looking for luck when taken back from gate 7. His runs have been ok and he is some hope.

SELECTIONS: COLD IDEAL (6), EXCEPTIONAL MACH (12), TALLYHO BROMAC (8), CORPORAL LUNA (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

ROCK WITH SAM (7)
has the tough gate to negotiate but is the best horse in the race and with a positive drive he can prove too good. A long way back off the 2nd line last time he was working home well to be 2.5m from the winner BETTOR BE LUCKY. Can take this.

THE HARLEM HAMMER (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate as she looks likely to be buried away. Last start over the 2138m trip she just struggled to go when the sprint went on. If she can see space with track to work with watch for her charging home.

HARD TO HEAR (11) has been in the money at his past 4 in succession and last start used the passing lane when 2nd to BUCKHORN EXCHANGE. With the right trail home he can feature.

LUVU GRAZAELLA (1) is 3rd up from a break with her last start effort a solid run from a wide gate when within 10m of PSYCHEDELIC. With the improved gate she has options and can podium.

SELECTIONS: ROCK WITH SAM (7), THE HARLEM HAMMER (8), HARD TO HEAR (11), LUVU GRAZAELLA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK WITH SAM (7) to win
