FORM ANALYSIS BY DARREN CLAYTON - @DASHMAN01

Speed maps are based on recent and anticipated racing patterns. For important changes of tactics which may affect the accuracy of this speed map follow @QRICstewards on Twitter.

RACE ONE

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (1)
has been freshened since the final of the McNeil series where she finished mid-field in the final behind NEEDLE. Finishing 2nd in each of the heats she went into the series off the back of a tidy Redcliffe victory and from the front tape she looks to get every chance.

HIGH CLOUD LASS (7) secured 6 successive 2nd placings going into her latest start at Marburg where she was forced to do it tough and was no closer than 3-wide for a large portion of the 2200m event. Placed in 13 runs since her last win back in July, she will be in the mix again.

ZAIRE DIVA (8) had been racing well and was rewarded when proving too strong over the 2138m standing start trip 3 starts back with a tough win. Her past 2 since that win have been against stronger company and she has some hop.

MCKENZIE MOJO (2) made his debut in the 1st round heats of the McNeil where he stepped cleanly before releasing. Put away again, he will be further experienced from that and with this easier look for sharp effort.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITLIKEMUM (1), HIGH CLOUD LASS (7), ZAIRE DIVA (8), MCKENZIE MOJO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTABITLIKEMUM (1) to win

RACE TWO

FIRE AND ICE (2) took out a qualifier 4 starts back when taking the trail off gate 1 and then producing at the right time to sprint home to victory. Beaten from wide gates in stronger band 5 events at his next 2 he found the line strongly last start in good time behind COME CULLECT. He can dictate here.

PSYCHEDELIC (4) was up against it 2 starts back when trying to make ground from back in the pack in a mile race taken by the in-form STATEMENT MADE. He made the most of the pocket trail last start once the gap opened to get to a half-head victory. The small field probably works against him here.

MANDY KRIDEN (1) doesn’t normally do her best from the inside and likes to get wider and work into her closing sprint. But with a small field and a cosy trip look for the grey flashing home.

SELECTIONS: FIRE AND ICE (2), PSYCHEDELIC (4), MANDY KRIDEN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FIRE AND ICE (2) to win

RACE THREE

SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE (2) was looking to make it 3 on end last start when taking on a qualifier from gate 4 and after not able to cross slotted into running line cover over the 2138m. Issuing a challenge down the stretch he was grabbed by the swooping STATEMENT MADE. He can go all the way this time.

ZARAS DELIGHT (1) will strip fitter from 1 run back from a break when returning an eye-catcher at Redcliffe. Unable to find position she was snagged back to the rear and worked home strongly to get within 5m of the winner. With the cosy trip she can fill the quinella.

FRANCO TOTEM (6) returned from a spell with a good effort to place 2nd in the heats of the Marburg Goldstrike. In the final off a 30m impost he couldn’t get into the race early and then his chances were gone with the tempo from the front. Back to mobile conditions is a plus.

CIRCLE LINE (5) looked to take them all the way last start over the 2138m trip and was forced to go a little quicker in the middle stages, taking the sting out yet rallying well to hold 4th. He is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE (2), ZARAS DELIGHT (1), FRANCO TOTEM (6), CIRCLE LINE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE (2) to win

RACE FOUR

STATEMENT MADE (3)
is airborne at present and secured a qualifying victory last start when sailing home from back in the pack to score over the 2138m. That followed successive wins over the mile when able to lead throughout and from the good gate he looks hard to stop again.

BET IM SPECIAL (1) took out a qualifier last start and was a strong winner 3 starts back when rolling forward from the 2nd line to cut the breeze and proved too string. A nice effort at his next outing when they sprinted home from the front and nothing really made ground. He can feature if he can get the lane with momentum.

OUTLAW FELLA (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate yet if able to find space with track to work with he can issue a closing challenge. He fought hard last start when facing the breeze outside MIND THE WIRE and just needs a gap.

ZAC MAC (9) returns to Qld following a NSW and Vic campaign where he raced well but couldn’t secure a win. Not seen since mid-Feb he has trialled in good order and can improve off this.

SELECTIONS: STATEMENT MADE (3), BET IM SPECIAL (1), OUTLAW FELLA (8), ZAC MAC (9)
SUGGESTED BET: STATEMENT MADE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

IOWNATURBO (8) has returned from a spell in great order and last start took out a mares qualifier when leading all the way to victory. A winner when returning when flashing home late from back in the pack she looks to get in here nicely and has the option to get away from the pegs early if needed.

JOEY TEE (2) made his Qld debut at Marburg and was sent around the field in the early stages from the 2nd line to find the front and once in control cleared out to a big win. He can look for the pegs and try to take control again.

SUBTLE ADVICE (1) should be approaching a fitness peak following 4 runs back from a break and strikes his easiest assignment this campaign. He worked home strongly from back in the pack last start and looks to get his chance.

RED ROCKER (3) will strip fitter following 1 run back from a break where he was buried away on the pegs at Narrabri. He can look for early position and is an exotic hope with the right cover.

SELECTIONS: IOWNATURBO (8), JOEY TEE (2), SUBTLE ADVICE (1), RED ROCKER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IOWNATURBO (8) to win

RACE SIX

SURFACE TO AIR (9)
has a tricky gate to negotiate here but he has been meeting much stronger line-ups than what he has found his way into here. A tidy effort off the 2nd line when 9m from PSYCHEDELIC 2 starts back was followed by a mid-field finish in a qualifier last start. He gets every chance for a breakthrough here.

NEVAEH (3) will appreciate the return to the mobile after taking on the tapes at her past 2 in the Goldstrike Series at Marburg. From her best gate for some time she can look to get forward early and this race is well within reach.

SKYFELLA CAM (2) is still learning the racing caper with only 5 starts to his name. A nice winner when 2nd up over the 2138m along the passing lane, his latest run was a solid effort and he will be right in the mix here.

PARTY STARTER (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate and be looking to find the gaps to issue a challenge. She was wide off the track from gate 12 last start when falling into 3rd and has rough hopes.

SELECTIONS: SURFACE TO AIR (9), NEVAEH (3), SKYFELLA CAM (2), PARTY STARTER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SURFACE TO AIR (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

NONE BETTOR (5) has been in the money at 5 of 7 outings this term and has been getting better at every run. Last start at Redcliffe he circled the field early to face the breeze and went within a head of victory. This is an easier contest than that outing and this looks his breakthrough moment.

NOTMUCHUPTOP (10) shoots for a hat-trick following wins here at AP and last start at Marburg. The AP win was an all the way effort from gate 2 and the latest run he closed out strongly over the concluding stages after circling the field to find the front off a 2nd line gate. He can go close again.

WHERES THE SPIRIT (1) returns from a spell following a tidy 1st prep that returned a win and 3 placings from 8 starts. He couldn’t get the start right at his last 3 runs but has since trialled twice in good order and will take good improvement form his return.

MIDLOIN BLUES (8) has been to Narrabri for his past 2 starts and landed inside the 2nd line in each with the most recent where he was buried away in the run. With a cosy trip her has F4 claims here.

SELECTIONS: NONE BETTOR (5), NOTMUCHUPTOP (10), WHERES THE SPIRIT (1), MIDLOIN BLUES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: NONE BETTOR (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

BLUE EYED CREATION (1)
has returned from a break in good order and has 2 wins and 2 placings from 4 runs. Last start at Marburg he made an error yet still proved too strong for a nice win. With all the options from the ace gate he looks hard to stop again.

SLIPPERY JADE (6) has been mixing her form but at her best a race like this is well within reach. Forced to retire from the event last start when striking trouble, she was a winner of a slightly easier contest here 3 back. Need to include.

BEAUTY BOUND (2) looked to take them all the way last start at Marburg over the 2200m when run-down by BLUE EYED CREATION. That followed a tidy effort here over the 2138m when doing some early work she grabbed the silver. She will be in the mix again from this gate.

ALL AFTER ME (4) should be close to a fitness peak following 4 runs back from a break and should find this a shade below what he has been meeting. His last start was a better effort when only 7.5m from the winner ASHLEYS ANGEL and he can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: BLUE EYED CREATION (1), SLIPPERY JADE (6), BEAUTY BOUND (2), ALL AFTER ME (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BLUE EYED CREATION (1) to win

RACE NINE

PLATINUM ART (1)
was buried away on the pegs last start and found the line well to grab 4th in a similar claiming event. 4 starts back he was only beaten 1m from the pocket trail and if he can secure that position here he is every chance in a wide open claimer.

CHEAP TINT (6) was sent forward from gate 4 over the mile 2 starts back and looked to take them all the way when only the in-form INA GREAT PLACE was able to run him down. His effort last start in a band 5 event was solid and he can issue a challenge here.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER (3) started fav last start from this same gate and found running line cover when finishing 10m from INA GREAT PLACE. That followed 2nd placed runs in both the heat and final of a Claiming series and from the gate he will be right in the fight.

COMPLY OR DIE (9) would probably be extremely hard to beat if drawing the front line in this field but he doesn’t have that luxury and will need to win against his normal pattern. Forget his last start when he worked triple time in the early stages, his wins at 2 of his previous 3 were good enough in this class to include him in the exotics here.

SELECTIONS: PLATINUM ART (1), CHEAP TINT (6), FLOYD MAYWEATHER (3), COMPLY OR DIE (9)
SUGGESTED BET
