RRACE TWO

GOALKICKER (8) was the best of the rest chasing home for 2nd behind the smart winner ESCALERA in the Goldstrike Final t Marburg last time out. Her 3rd in the heat was a solid effort and her run 3 starts back when cutting the breeze and only beaten 9m behind TROJAN BANNER was strong. She gets every chance here.

OUR PEPPERJACK (10) rolled forward to the breeze last start to do the hard yards outside the leader and winner BURNIG AMBITION who was running hard in the early stages. Only 3m from the winner the start prior when working, he is racing well and can be put into the fight here to challenge.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (7) snagged back from gate 7 last start and was closing out the best of the chasers to grab 3rd behind a breakaway. He will need luck here but spotting a gap can charge.

BERTILS DELIGHT (1) has been thereabouts of late and her 2nd 5 runs back was a solid effort. With enough early speed to utilise some options here and can look to make the most of an improved gate.

SELECTIONS: GOALKICKER (8), OUR PEPPERJACK (10), GRIZZLY MONTANA (7), BERTILS DELIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOALKICKER (8) to win

RACE THREE

MEANT TO BE ME (1) will strip fitter following her return from a break at Marburg last start. Crossed early she sat in the pocket trail and held on for the bronze. With good early speed she will have early options and can look to bounce back here.

VILLAGE CRUISER (5) has good speed off the arm when utilised and taking an early shot might pack enough heat to find the pegs. Placed at his past 4 starts, the latest from the stand in the Goldstrike Consolation at Marburg, he will be further tightened after 2 runs back from a break and is the threat.

LAZY BLAZE (7) snagged back from gate 6 last start to find position and found them a bit too slippery behind a 2 horse break-away at AP. Back to the triangle and with a cosy trip he can feature.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (8) wasn’t far away when probing for peg runs here on Thurs which had followed a 2nd to TAXI METER. He can drop to the pegs early and be looking for short-cuts again here.

SELECTIONS: MEANT TO BE ME (1), VILLAGE CRUISER (5), LAZY BLAZE (7), WILD ABOUT TOWN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MEANT TO BE ME (1) to win

RACE FOUR

BETTING BARON (9)
rolled forward to face the breeze and was doing all the work on a sloppy track at AP last start when finishing mid-field. His run here 3 starts back was full of merit when closing out hard in the latter stages for the silver behind RUTHLESS ARMBRO. This is easier and he can arrive.

IM TOOT (4) found the 1x1 trail after some early work here on Thurs and chased home to hold on for the bronze behind ON THAT DAY. His previous 2 were from the 2nd line including a solid 2nd when closing out well. From the gate he can get forward and he will get his chance to capitalise.

BUDDY BABCOCK (8) resumes from a spell and was last seen back in September when down the line after starting from gate 7. Grabbed in the closing stages the start prior in slick time, this is within reach.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) led them up here last start over the 1780m trip and after setting a steady tempo couldn’t hold on when beaten 5m. She can look for the pegs and will then have options.

SELECTIONS: BETTING BARON (9), IM TOOT (4), BUDDY BABCOCK (8), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTING BARON (9) to win

RACE FIVE

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (7) is on the back-up from Fri at AP k when drawn gate 6 in a tricky contest. Placed at his past 2, both here on the triangle, the most recent of those when beaten as a red figure fav when 5m from the winner. He will need some luck from this alley but looks to get his chance.

ROBINMEGOOD (2) rolled forward from gate 4 last start and parked in the breeze was in or the fight when 1m from the winner AT RANDOM. That was a much sharper effort after some wayward manners at his previous 2 starts and from the good alley he can look to build on the improvement.

DEVOUGED (8) makes his Qld debut for Doug Lee and arrives with placings in 2 of 6 career starts with all coming in this same campaign. Luckless at Penrith last start he strikes a winnable race 1st up.
OUR MASQUERADE (5) was working home wide off the track last start in returning a sound effort. Moving in closer with the early scratching’s will help and she can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (7), ROBINMEGOOD (2), DEVOUGED (8), OUR MASQUERADE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

CELTIC CRUZA (6)
was sent forward from gate 10 last start and was doing plenty of work wide off the track and the hard run took its toll in the closing stages. Forget his previous start where he struck trouble, assess his chances on his run in the breeze 3 starts back and his superb Redcliffe record.

KARINYA MULLY (1) took on a qualifier last start and the effort was sound behind a smart one in CASTALONG SHADOW. Always facing a task, the start prior when wide off the track at Marburg, he will get a better trip here and if finding space with track to work with will be right in the fight.

DONNY JONES (5) held on for the bronze at Marburg last start after racing behind the leader and winner. His run 4 starts back in a similar type race was solid when 2n to MACHEASY and despite the gate he can feature.

SELECTIONS: CELTIC CRUZA (6), KARINYA MULLY (1), DONNY JONES (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CELTIC CRUZA (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

MONTANA JACK (3) is a Mr Feelgood gelding n debut for Darrel Graham and is a half-brother to the five-time winner MISS COSTALOT. He has trialled in good order for his debut with his hit-out at AP enough to suggest against this line-up he can make a winning start to his career.

CALL ME TRISH (5) has placed at her past 4 in succession where she has been working home from back in the pack on each occasion. With the small field and limited early pressure, she might just be able to settle closer to the speed and can be in the mix as she continues to improve.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (4) scored a victory on Thurs night at huge odds after securing a great run in transit from gate 4 and finishing over the top. With a similar effort this is well within reach.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (1) secured the pocket trail last start when finishing mid-field behind DATITUDE. This looks a shade below those opponents and with the soft trip has exotic hopes.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA JACK (3), CALL ME TRISH (5), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (4), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-5
