RACE TWO

HEEZ PERFECT (3) has now had 4 runs back from a break and finds the type of race to add another win to his frustrated career. A winner via the passing lane when resuming over the AP mile, conditions did not suit at his next 2. Luckless last start at Marburg, he can make his own luck here.

KING OF TRUMPS (9) has had just the 2 starts in Qld since arriving from the Shaky Isles with both appearances at Marburg. A heat winner of the Goldstrike when finishing over the top of them, he was then a narrow 3rd to GLENEAGLE WARRIOR in the final after an interrupted passage. He can throw it down in this.

TIMELY SOVEREIGN (6) sat in the pocket trail last start but lost momentum prior to the passing lane as BETTATHANIDEAL scorched home to score. The gate is not ideal, but he can join in here.

MACHIN OUT (4) was required to do some early work to secure position last start before fading late over the 2138m. Hitting the line in nice order the start prior, he is a podium chance in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: HEEZ PERFECT (3), KING OF TRUMPS (9), TIMELY SOVEREIGN (6), MACHIN OUT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: HEEZ PERFECT (3) to win

RACE THREE

HEADWIN (1)
was never a factor last start once he was forced to retreat over the Marburg sprint trip to find position. Gunned down in front here 2 starts bac k over the 2040m trip, the return to the 1780m is a big plus and with the inside line advantage, he can look to capitalise out in front.

GOPATI (5) takes his 1st look under race conditions at Redcliffe and has produced a mixed bag of results since arriving in Qld. Leading for every stride bar the one that counted over the 2138m 2 starts back, he was then overpowered last start. Positioning cheaply will be key to his chances here.

BIG GEM MONTANA (3) did it the tough way last start at Marburg over the 2200m stand trip when holding on for the bronze. A winner at the AP mile 4 runs back, he can feature in this line-up.

FORTES IN FIDE (4) eased from gate 6 last start at headquarters over the mile and from back in the pack was attacking the line strongly to be 3m in arrears. Tough in defeat the start prior, he can feature in this.

SELECTIONS: HEADWIN (1), GOPATI (5), BIG GEM MONTANA (3), FORTES IN FIDE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: HEADWIN (1) to win

RACE FIVE

LIVING GRAND (1) is on the back-up from Friday where he looked a strong chance. Tackling a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back, he was sent forward from gate 7 to race first over and was in for the fight, only fading in the closing stages. He will need to hustle early, but with the inside advantage can capitalise.

HIT THE TRACK (7) has been thereabouts with placings in 3 of his past 5 starts. Working home soundly last start, he grabbed the bronze behind MAKINMEFEELGOOD at Marburg. With the chance of an economical trip in behind the speed, he can look to make a closing play.

HIGH ON MONTANA (4) is racing in nice touch without landing a winning blow in recent outings. Attacking the line strongly last start for the silver when laying down some smart closing panels, look for him joining in.

ARTISTIC SAINT (5) is another on the back-up from Friday at The Creek but comes up with a sticky gate here. A Marburg winner 2 starts back when able to lead all the way, he is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: LIVING GRAND (1), HIT THE TRACK (7), HIGH ON MONTANA (4), ARTISTIC SAINT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING GRAND (1) to win

RACE SIX

BEYOND A SHADOW (3) was sent forward from gate 4 here last time out and was keen in the lead before fading late to be midfield as GROOVY MISS ANNIE arrived. A winner over the AP mile 4 runs back, she followed when runner-up at her next 2. Conditions look right for her to cash-in here.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (7) made the most of gate 1 here on Thursday when holding them wide and leading all the way to score by a half-head. Within 4m of BONNIES A ROCKIN the start prior when holding on for the bronze, if the 1 looks to take them all the way, she will loom large.

RAYONG PRINCESS (1) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was making a closing play when within 4m of the winner RISKY BUZINESS. With early speed, she has the options to be in the mix in this.

PATCHWORK JET (2) started from the 2nd line last start and was trying to work into it but could not get warm last time out. He can settle closer to the action here for a sharper return.

SELECTIONS: BEYOND A SHADOW (3), TACTFILLY MAGIC (7), RAYONG PRINCESS (1), PATCHWORK JET (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7

RACE SEVEN

GIGANTIC JASPER (3)
has placed 3rd in 2 of his past 3 starts and looks to have found a winnable contest here. Claiming the bronze from the pocket trail last start behind CATCH THE BOUQUET, he has the early bullets to take control and pinching a panel or 2, can look to see this out.

WAVEDANCER (9) worked home from back in the pack to grab the bronze over the AP mile 4 starts back. Down the line in his next 2 at headquarters, he was trying to wind up last start here over the 2040m trip. Despite the tough gate, conditions can be favourable enough to challenge here.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5) fired off the arm from gate 4 here last time out to find the front prior to releasing and then held on for 3rd behind CRIME BOSS. Never far away, he has claims in this.

GOODJET (7) made an error on Thursday that will see her move to gate 9 here. Trying to wind up late after the early mistake, she was sown the line behind OCEAN LANE.

SELECTIONS: GIGANTIC JASPER (3), WAVEDANCER (9), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5), GOODJET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GIGANTIC JASPER (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

CHUMP CHOP (1)
worked home wide off the track from gate 9 here 3 starts back to grab the bronze. Locked away 2 starts back after beaten for early hustle, he was sent forward here on Thursday from the 2nd line to cut the breeze and then pulled clear to score. With the cosy trip, he can strike.

RISKY BUZINESS (2) fired off the arm to take control over the AP mile 4 runs back and once in front was able to fight off all challengers to score a comfortable 9m victory. Making the closing shot a winner via the passing lane last start, he can show his early zip and look to fight them off.

BARBOO (8) was angled to the pegs here last time out and from back in the pack never really was in the contest. Grabbed in the closing strides 3 runs back when leading, he is a podium hope here.

BETTING BARON (9) was a winner here 4 starts back when settling in the running line from gate 8 and finishing over the top of them to claim the prize. Only 1.5m from the winner here on Thursday, look for him chiming in.

SELECTIONS: CHUMP CHOP (1), RISKY BUZINESS (2), BARBOO (8), BETTING BARON (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

WEASEL (9) has had the benefit of the ace at his past 2 starts, but that gate has probably been more hindrance than help in those battles. Buried away last start, he was angled off the pegs 2 runs back. With time to move forward to the outside, he can turn back the clock and make it a dozen wins here at The Triangle.

THATS FUNNY (5) has proven a trifle costly to her supporters of late, going under as the favourite at her past 3 in succession. Grinding it out from the breeze last start at Marburg when only 2m from the winner, it followed a 7m margin at the same track. The gate hurts but this is a winnable contest.

WHATA REACTOR (3) took an early shot last start that was repelled and then from the breeze she was working hard thereafter. Runner-up here 3 starts back, she has podium claims from this alley.

WHATELEY (6) has now had 4 runs back from a spell and should be approaching a fitness peak. Striking trouble last start, he can search for redemption here.

SELECTIONS: WEASEL (9), THATS FUNNY (5), WHATA REACTOR (3), WHATELEY (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
