RACE TWO

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (4) found the pegs 1st on debut here last week and setting even panels in front was only grabbed in the closing stages by TORQUE IS MY GIRL. Going under a head, he will take good experience from that run and can look to go 1 better this time.

VALIANT GEM (6) found running line cover from gate 4 at Redcliffe last start and chased hard to claim the silver behind DATITUDE. That was his first placing and with even luck can repeat.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (8) went back from a wide gate last start and was then hitting the line in good style to claim the bronze when 7m from the winner. With a cosy trip she can be charging home.

SELECTIONS: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (4), VALIANT GEM (6), TACTFILLY MAGIC (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (4) to win

RACE THREE

MATATOKI (6) had been knocking on the door since arriving in Qld with 3 successive placed runs and last start was able to break through the door to score a solid win. Working home wide off the track he packed too many guns in scoring by 7m. With solid mobile start form he can go back-to-back.

HELLBOUND (3) was much better last start when second-up since arriving in Qld. Starting from a 50m tape he closed strongly to get within a half-neck of the winner. All 5 of his career victories have been from the mobile and he can give this a shake.

OLE SUN (1) is in super form and completed a hat-trick of victories last start when finishing over the top at Redcliffe. From the gate he can get the perfect trip and will be ready to take the closing shot.
JUSTABITNOISY (10) should appreciate this class of contest after taking on the open performers in recent starts. Locked away on the pegs last start he found the line and will be charging late here.

SELECTIONS: MATATOKI (6), HELLBOUND (3), OLE SUN (1), JUSTABITNOISY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MATATOKI (6) to win

RACE FOUR

BOULDER CITY (2)
went back from gate 7 last week before tracking home in good order to get within 7m of the winner. The start prior he looked to take them all the way from this gate when run down in the closing stages. He will be gripping to the lead here.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (1) took the trail from this gate here 2 starts back and chased late to be 3m from the winner THE MONEY BALL who swooped over the top. Not suited when working in the run last start, he can get the cosy trip and take the snipers shot.

AT RANDOM (8) is a Blissfull Hall gelding on debut for Graham Dwyer. From the un-raced mare Plain Misty he is a half to the 3-time winner MISTY JANE. His 2 trials to date have been good and will get the right trip.

FEELING FROSTY (9) hasn’t been too far away to date and should be able to find a nice position in running here. With the right cover look for him to finish in the money.

SELECTIONS: BOULDER CITY (2), FORTYFIVE ROCK (1), AT RANDOM (8), FEELING FROSTY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BOULDER CITY (2) to win

RACE FIVE

COREY WILLIAM (4) returns from a break after really hitting his straps where he went on a streak of 6 wins in 10 starts which gets him into this C0 with great credentials. 3rd to the gun COLT THIRTY ONE in the Triad 2 starts back he dis plenty of work last start at Redcliffe. He can return with a win.

OPONONIS BLISS (3) also resumes from a break and was last seen in a 1 start prep to take out the Fillies Triad Consolation. Holding the front in that race off gate 1 she packed too much heat through a 28.7 closer to record a 2m victory. Given an easy time in a trail to prepare, she is a threat.

ZED CODE (1) will appreciate the ace gate here after starting from gate 6 at her past 2 outings. Taken back last start she found the line in good order behind LAUGHING EMOJI. The cosy trip suits.

MACH TORQUE (8) was a tough winner from the breeze here 2 starts back in a restricted race with the form carrying on out of that race. With the soft trip against the pegs she can take the short-cuts.

SELECTIONS: COREY WILLIAM (4), OPONONIS BLISS (3), ZED CODE (1), MACH TORQUE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COREY WILLIAM (4) to win

RACE SIX

LILAC FLASH (8)
shoots for the hat-trick and wins at 4 of his past 5 with his latest victory impressive. Last start from gate 7 he was wide before pressing on to take control and thereafter was in his own race with a 15m victory. He will need some factors to go his way, but can be sprinting hard.

ARGYLE BEACH (9) put together 3 successive victories at the mile before taking on the Premiers Cup at her latest start. Striking trouble in the run she fought back in a nice effort behind COLT THIRTY ONE. Freshened since that run, she is a nice mare that can look to make the most of her chances.

BLINGITTOTHEMAX (1) lands his best gate for some time and will look to take full advantage of the inside line.  Buried away in the run last start he worked home well and will be gripping on here.

TROUBLESOME DAVE (11) had been racing well without the best of luck and last time from gate 7 pressed on to the breeze and was too strong. With even luck in transit he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: LILAC FLASH (8), ARGYLE BEACH (9), BLINGITTOTHEMAX (1), TROUBLESOME DAVE (11)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-8-9-11

RACE SEVEN

ONE WISE MAN (9) took on a similar race last week over the 2138m and after going back from gate 5 was charging home in the closing stages to grab the bronze. That was his 3rd run back from a break with the 2 first-up runs from gates 6 and 7. He will need a slice of luck but with plenty of front line tempo he can swoop over the top.

HEZ RAZOR SHARP (3) tried to take them all the way here 3 starts back over the mile and led deep into the stretch when grabbed by the in-form NONE BETTOR. He looked to have found his race last start at Redcliffe when nabbed up the passing lane. He will be fighting hard in the stretch.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (6) started from gate 7 here 2 starts back and was set alight to find the pegs before taking cover and fighting on for 2d behind NONE BETTOR. He can put the heat in this early.

IM NORMA JEAN (1) will be 2nd up from a break and will strip fitter after returning without a trial. With good early speed she can protect the pegs early and can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: ONE WISE MAN (9), HEZ RAZOR SHARP (3), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (6), IM NORMA JEAN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE WISE MAN (9) each-way

RACE EIGHT

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (1)
makes his 1st appearance in Aust for Chantal Turpin after arriving a 4-time winner from NZ. A winner from the stand-start 2 back, his latest performance was a handy effort over the 2300m. He looked good in a recent trial and from the gate gets every chance for a 1st up win.

GRINVIL (9) made the most of gate 1 over the mile last start and after not forced to work too hard to hold the front was able to take them all the way. A tidy winner 3 starts back when working home over the top from the 2nd line, she will be swooping hard in this.

OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (2) was wide off the track here 3 starts back and finished over the top to score a truly scrumptious victory. He ran home some slick panels last start behind ROCK WITH SAM and can challenge here.

VETTEL (3) pressed forward to find the front from gate 3 here last start and once in control held on to score a narrow victory. With the right run he can be right in the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (1), GRINVIL (9), OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (2), VETTEL (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (1) to win
