RACE TWO

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (10) has no favours from this alley but he is racing in good touch and might just be able to get around them cheaply in the early stages. Last start from the breeze he fought hard all the way and only went under a neck behind the passing lane winner REGAL ROCK. Is up to this.

MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (6) is on debut for trainer Kelli Dawson and is a gelding by We Will See. Ranking as a half-brother to the talented 18-time winner Maywyn Tonz, he has trialled in good order for his debut and cant be taken lightly despite the tough alley.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (4) hasn’t shown much at her past 3 starts when chasing. Her run 4 back when able to lead was a better effort and with the lead looking available she can be an improver.

IMPETUOSO (9) wasn’t suited last start when he was snagged back from a wide gate and just found himself too far back. That was his 1st Qld start and settling closer here has exotic hopes.

SELECTIONS: TOO GOOD FOR YOU (10), MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (6), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (4), IMPETUOSO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TOO GOOD FOR YOU (10) to win

RACE THREE

FORTYFIVE ROCK (3) was sent to the post as fav last week from gate 1 and soon found himself buried away 3 back when 4th behind the smart looking winner AT RANDOM. Only beaten 3m from the pocket trail here 3 back, he looks to get his chance to break the maiden status in this.

SHIMANSHYNE (1) has shown gradual progression through the term and last start caught the eye when working in the run and not beaten far behind MOLLYS SECRET at Redcliffe. With good early speed, she can hustle through and if not pressured might just be able to sneak away with this.

RANCHO MAN (6) pressed on from gate 7 last time out to find the pegs and fought hard in holding on for the silver behind AT RANDOM. That was a sharper effort and if sent forward again will fight.

RUM AND SCHOTZ (4) held on for 3rd last start, albeit when 32m from the winner after the leading pair broke clear. With even luck in the run he can find the podium again.

SELECTIONS: FORTYFIVE ROCK (3), SHIMANSHYNE (1), RANCHO MAN (6), RUM AND SCHOTZ (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

PROFICIENT (2)
was returning from a freshen last time out when taking on a 2040m event at Redcliffe. Having a look for the front he couldn’t get across and was forced to snag back to find position and that ended his chances. He can look to force the issue here and controlling will be hard to stop.

RARING TO GO (1) lands his best gate for some time and with good early speed can look to maintain the inside advantage before releasing which he did last time he started from this alley. With the cosy trip he can hold on for a minor.

THE MUSE (5) has faced tough gates at her past 2 starts and still returned tidy efforts. Last start from gate 7 she went back and was never a factor behind the smart SLICE OF HEAVEN. Improver here.

GERONIMO BEAU (6) chased hard to claim the silver 2 starts back behind ZARAS DELIGHT after dropping to the pegs. He can look for the short-cuts again and chime in late.

SELECTIONS: PROFICIENT (2), RARING TO GO (1), THE MUSE (5), GERONIMO BEAU (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PROFICIENT (2) to win

RACE FIVE

TUESDAYS FELLA (3) is still probing for an opening at Redcliffe after finding dead-ends everywhere he went. Returning from a break 2 starts back he was settled a long way back and attacked the line strongly to get within a neck of the winner. From this gate he can look to fire the first shot.

LAUGHING EMOJI (7) shoots for the hat-trick after wins from the mile and 2138m starts in successive runs. Once in front from gate 1 last start she was able to control the speed and ripping home a 27.6 closer was never in danger. The gate hurts this time but she can’t be ignored.

MAYWYNS COURAGE (10) returns from a spell and steps out for the Kelli Dawson barn for the first time. Showing plenty of talent that has been matched by the amount of issues, if he gets it right, he can throw down the challenge.

HIGH ON MONTANA (6) aims up for the hat-trick after successive wins at Marburg and Redcliffe. Last start he swooped home from back in the pack to a good win and will be looking for a ride home.

SELECTIONS: TUESDAYS FELLA (3), LAUGHING EMOJI (7), MAYWYNS COURAGE (10), HIGH ON MONTANA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TUESDAYS FELLA (3) to win

RACE SIX

LILAC FLASH (10)
has really hit his straps and arrived for the hat-trick last start. Looking to be hopelessly locked away last week, Kylie Rasmussen weaved a passage to find clear air and exploded into stride in the stretch to arrive on the line to score. He looks a smart customer and can win again.

ARGYLE BEACH (8) was 1st up form a freshen last start and from the 2nd line was working into the race and looked to have done enough until LILAC FLASH arrived from the clouds to grab her on the line. Needing plenty of luck from this alley as she looks to be buried in the run, she will be probing.

NIKALONG HENRY (2) was buried away on the pegs from inside the 2nd line on Sat night and closed out in good order behind OUR CHITTYBANGBANG. Taking an early shot, he is right in the mix.

LENNY THE LEGEND (5) has been given a let-up since last seen when making good closing ground to grab the bronze and beaten 9m. He met the smart SLICE OF HEAVEN his previous 2 and swoop late.

SELECTIONS: LILAC FLASH (10), ARGYLE BEACH (8), NIKALONG HENRY (2), LENNY THE LEGEND (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LILAC FLASH (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

COREY WILLIAM (9) returned from a spell in good style here last week when forcing the issue and pressing to the front from gate 4. Once in control he was able to hold on through a 28.1 closing split to score. Without a trial for his return, he will be tightened and despite the 2nd line can take this.

PINUP BOY (4) gets back to the mile which should be to his advantage after taking on the 2138m at his past 2 starts. Last time from gate 7 he wen back and was hitting the line in good order to be 3m from the winner SPRING CAMPAIGN. He can issue a challenge.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (8) was impressive at his Aus debut here last week when working hard in the run and forging clear for a tough win. He will need some luck from this gate yet can’t be dismissed.

GOOD BOY OLIVER (2) has good early speed and from this gate can fire the 1st shot to look for the pegs. Run down after leading them up his past 2, he will be gripping on again here.

SELECTIONS: COREY WILLIAM (9), PINUP BOY (4), SPRING CAMPAIGN (8), GOOD BOY OLIVER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: COREY WILLIAM (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

PHANTOM ROCKSTAR (4)
has started to find his rhythm and last start was hitting the line in good order to claim the bronze. 2 back at Redcliffe he went under a half-neck after the run didn’t come when needed. In a wide-open contest, he can settle handy and be right in the fight.

DIVAS DELIGHT (9) worked hard in the run last start when fighting hard and only beaten 3m behind SWEET AS. Only 9m from the talented MISS GRACELAND the start prior when starting from gate 6, he will be looking to trail through early. Not far away in recent starts, he will be hoping to end a 2 year winless streak.

BET IM SPECIAL (8) will be sweating on the 1 looking to take them all the way and if that scenario eventuates, he will be coiled and ready to strike. Finishing 2m from LUCKY VOODOO on Sta night from the pocket trail, he can go close again.

OHOKA SQUIRE (1) finished 5m from the winner ALPHA STYX here 4 starts back when starting from this same gate and finding himself shuffled 3 back. Not suited his past 3, he will be hustling hard to protect the pegs.

SELECTIONS: PHANTOM ROCKSTAR (4), DIVAS DELIGHT (9), BET IM SPECIAL (8), OHOKA SQUIRE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: PHANTOM ROCKSTAR (4) each-way

RACE NINE

IM NORMA JEAN (3)
will strip fitter following 2 runs back from a break and from this alley can look to use her early speed to find the pegs. Buried in the run last start from gate 1, she chased home in good order. With a class edge on her opponents here, she looks to get her chance for another win.

BETTING BARON (1) started from the ace at Redcliffe 3 starts back and was fired up, causing a false start the 1st time and then striking trouble on the 2nd attempt and losing all chance. With good early speed he can protect early and be an improver from the alley in this line-up.

FAMOUS SHOES (8) made the most of gate 1 at Redcliffe last start and took them all the way to hold on by a head. With the cosy trip against the markers, he will be looking for the openings.

HAVETOGETAWAYMORE (9) can look to drop to the pegs early here if available and go luck hunting for inside gaps. Finishing best along the passing lane to score last start she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: IM NORMA JEAN (3), BETTING BARON (1), FAMOUS SHOES (8), HAVETOGETAWAYMORE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: IM NORMA JEAN (3) to win
