RACE TWO

DONT BE JEALOUS (2) didn’t have the cleanest passage last start at Marburg yet still finished it off in good order behind LIVING FREE. Her run at AP 2 starts back was a solid effort when within 2m of the winner and from this gate can look to capitalise.

WAVEDANCER (3) did some early work before receiving cover last start and was closing hard to get within a half-neck of REGAL ROCK. With good early speed he can have an early look and if able to find the pegs cheaply will give plenty of cheek.

ALL MADNESS (10) has no favours from this gate but his last start was a sharper effort. 2nd up from close to 12 months off the scene, he will strip fitter for the run and has podium claims here.

ARCH EMPRESS (6) pressed ahead from gate 5 here last start and worked hard in the run when fighting to the line for 3rd behind REGAL ROCK. With the tough gate again place looks best.

SELECTIONS: DONT BE JEALOUS (2), WAVEDANCER (3), ALL MADNESS (10), ARCH EMPRESS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DONT BE JEALOUS (2) to win

RACE THREE

SWAFFHAM WATER (5) did some work in the run when trying to find position 2 starts back and went within 2m of victory. Not suited when snagged back from gate 6 last start, she lands a tricky alley again but what looks a wide-open contest she can sneak away with the win.

DOOLITTLE DOOFY (9) looked to take them all the way at AP over the mile 2 starts back and was gripping on when finishing 3m from the winner. Too far back last start at Marburg, with even luck in transit this would be the type of race he could bob-up in.

FRANKS FORTUNE (2) lands his best gate for some starts and can look to make the most of his chances. Snagged back from gate 6 last start he was too far back at AP 2 back and can podium here.

NEVAEH (7) will need a slice of luck from this alley as she looks to find a clear passage. Forced to work wide in the run in recent starts she can be an improver along the pegs.

SELECTIONS: SWAFFHAM WATER (5), DOOLITTLE DOOFY (9), FRANKS FORTUNE (2), NEVAEH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SWAFFHAM WATER (5) each-way

RACE FOUR

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (5)
was a long way back in the run when trying to make ground 2 starts back and never really made a dent in the deficit. Last start from gate 6 he found position in the running line and worked home well. The wide gate is a concern but in an open event he gets a shot.

STEVIE DEE (10) gets banished to the outside as a result of her starting manners in a qualifier when making a mess of it early. 4 starts back she led everywhere bar the last couple of strides when grabbed by REDBANK ADDI and with the right run can issue a challenge.

REAL KNUCKY (8) was hitting the line in good order here last week after starting from gate 6. Working home strongly he was only 2m from the winner. With the right trip he has podium hopes.

WEE JIMMY (4) found the strong tempo out of reach last start over the 2040m and faded late. His run 2 back was strong when facing the breeze and with even luck can be around the money.

SELECTIONS: SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (5), STEVIE DEE (10), REAL KNUCKY (8), WEE JIMMY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

HEZ RAZOR SHARP (1) was run down by UNCLE PETER 2 starts back when looking to dictate and followed that with a 2nd to NONE BETTOR again when trying to take them all the way. Buried in the run from the 2nd line last start he can make the most of the gate and will be in front for a long way.

THUNDER MAC (7) will be glued to the back of the 1 and be ready to take the snipers shot when the gap opens. 3 back on the pegs last start he sprinted sharply when finding the space to score a 1m victory. From the trail he is a huge danger.

DOWNAN OUT (4) was sent forward from gate 6 last start and able to take control was never in danger in scoring a 3m victory. He can roll forward again and will be in for the fight.

BOB GAGE (2) was locked away on the pegs last start and found the line in good order behind NERIO. He charged home from a long way back 3 back and settling handy from this gate has claims.

SELECTIONS: HEZ RAZOR SHARP (1), THUNDER MAC (7), DOWNAN OUT (4), BOB GAGE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HEZ RAZOR SHARP / THUNDER MAC (1/7) quinella

RACE SIX

MAHALO (8)
settled in the pocket trail last start over the AP mile and chased hard to get within 2m of the winner MACH TORQUE. A winner from the trail here 5 starts back, she will need some factors to go her way but with the right run in transit can be looking to land the winning blow.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (5) was too far back in the pack last start at Tamworth when working into the contest. 2 starts back when trying to lead all the way he was grabbed in the closing stages by OH STANLEY. He will be in the mix despite a tough gate.

TUESDAYS FELLA (10) resumes from a spell after a pair of tough runs his past 2. Finding them too sharp in the Triad final he was then beaten by gate 7 at his next outing. With a tidy trial next to his name he is worthy of inclusion.

ANN MATTGREGOR (3) did plenty of work in the run last start and held on for the bronze, albeit a long way off the leader. She can have an early shot here and give some cheek.

SELECTIONS: MAHALO (8), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (5), TUESDAYS FELLA (10), ANN MATTGREGOR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 3-5-8-10

RACE SEVEN

PRECIOUS CULLEN (8) was aiming up for a hat-trick of victories here last start when he covered plenty of ground after sitting wide most of the trip. His win 2 starts back was a nice effort when pressing on to take control and scoring a good win over the 2040m trip. Slicing through early he can take this.

LETHAL PROMISE (9) didn’t have the hustle to protect the inside here last week and that was the difference when finishing 2nd at a red figure quote. His run in a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back was a good effort from gate 7 and he will be right in the fight again here.

MODERN THOUGHT (2) had the right trip in the pocket trail here 2 starts back when finishing 5m from the winner HERES MY NUMBER. Taking an early shot she can finish in the money here.

SHADOW HUNTER (1) had placed 3rd in successive outings and been no further than 4.5m in either. Forget his last start when striking trouble, he can look to make the most of the ace gate.

SELECTIONS: PRECIOUS CULLEN (8), LETHAL PROMISE (9), MODERN THOUGHT (2), SHADOW HUNTER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: PRECIOUS CULLEN (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

ASHLEYS ANGEL (1)
was an AP winner 2 starts back after snagging back from gate 6 and then finishing over the top to take a 2138m victory. She wasn’t totally comfortable last start but dug in to finish 6m from the winner. With the gate options she gets a chance to take this.

BIG BEAT (4) settled in the running line from gate 4 here 2 starts back and when asked for the effort sprinted hard over the top to post a 5m victory. Luckless last start from gate 6 when wide for a long way, he was sent for a freshen and returns here with solid claims.

EVELYN JAY (7) did some work in the run here last start when sent forward to the breeze from gate 10 and fought to the line to claim the bronze. With the cosy trail she can be ready to take a closing shot.

MIGHT AND MAIN (2) makes her Redcliffe debut here after not really firing since arriving in Qld. 4th in a mares qualifier behind the talented MAJOR OCCASION last start, she can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: ASHLEYS ANGEL (1), BIG BEAT (4), EVELYN JAY (7), MIGHT AND MAIN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ASHLEYS ANGEL (1) to win

RACE NINE

OH STANLEY (3) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at the 2040m and 1780m. Starting from gate 5 here 2 starts back he finished over the top to arrive with a half-head win and followed that with a late closing victory from gate 6. With the improved gate the three-peat is within reach.

SNAKES N LADDERS (1) started fav last start from the 2nd line and worked home in good style in the closing stages to get within 2m of the winner BUDDY BABCOCK. His run 3 starts back was a solid effort and with the cosy trip will be coiled and ready to strike.

ITZ PLEASURABLE (7) makes her Qld debut for the Darrel Graham barn and arrives in search of a hat-trick of victories. 1st up since November 2017, her trials have been tidy and with the trip from this gate has podium claims.

DEADLY ROCKER (5) was game in defeat at Marburg on Sunday after doing plenty of work in the run and sitting 3-wide for a long way but never shirking the task. With even luck in transit from the wide gate he can feature.

SELECTIONS: OH STANLEY (3), SNAKES N LADDERS (1), ITZ PLEASURABLE (7), DEADLY ROCKER (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
