RACE TWO

GOTTA MOMENT (7) arrived in Qld with a bang and after a smart victory at his 1st outing here over the sprint trip in quick time, the lustre has faded somewhat. Grabbed late after leading them up 2 starts back, his last start had merit over the 1660m and with the right luck gets his chance in this.

SACHE GIRL (1) took on the lamp lighting duties from this same gate over this trip last time out. Setting a slick tempo, it was a good effort when only OUR UNCLE ALAN was able to nab her in the closing stages. With the benefit of the inside alley, she can look to hold them off once again.

MACH TORQUE (5) retreated from gate 6 last start in a stronger line-up and couldn’t get into the contest in the latter stages. A tough 2nd from the breeze here 2 starts back, she can be thereabouts.

MATRON JUJON (8) was after a hat-trick last start when having no luck in the run after snagging back from gate 7 at Albion Park. With the pegs and a cheap run an option here, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA MOMENT (7), SACHE GIRL (1), MACH TORQUE (5), MATRON JUJON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA MOMENT (7) to win

RACE THREE

A tricky little contest on offer here with 4 last start winners drawn the front and good form-lines off the back. From the 2nd line SPORTS STORY (8) can get the right run in transit here and look to bounce back after missing a hat-trick of wins last start. Game in defeat behind GUNRNEEDABIGRBOAT, this is within reach.

ITSMEGS (2) finished over the top to claim a 1780m victory last time out, finding the line in good order. The start prior she was best of the chasers behind the big winner KISS CAM who set a solid tempo in the run. Looking to pounce on the pegs, she will provide a solid test for her opponents.

GUNNAREIGN (6) secured the perfect run in transit last start and saved for the closing shot, was able to sweep home to score. That was a reward for some handy performances and she has claims again.

VANTO HANOVER (1) has been facing a string of tough gates in recent starts, starting no closer than gate 5 her past 9 outings. With the improved gate, she can secure a cosy run and issue a closing shot.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS STORY (8), ITSMEGS (2), GUNNAREIGN (6), VANTO HANOVER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SPORTS STORY (8) to win

RACE FOUR

MISS KEESHA (3)
should take good benefit from her latest appearance when returning from a freshen. Having an early look for the front, she couldn’t muster the speed and was left cutting the breeze. Fighting hard when 4m in arrears, the lead looks available and she can look to capitalise.

TODAYS HERO (10) returned from a spell in great order and was able to finish over the top in claiming victory. This will be a tougher contest and the gate looks to make it harder again, yet with the added fitness from the return and a tidy record thus far in his brief career, he can challenge.

BUKTHSYSTEM (1) wasn’t suited from the 2nd line last start when circling them early to face the breeze. Fading after the tough run he was down the line but with the big gate improvement, look for a sharper effort here.

FUI FUI (4) found the line strongly here 2 starts back when able to grab the bronze behind OUR DOUG and that run was franked when arriving for a tidy win last start. He won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: MISS KEESHA (3), TODAYS HERO (10), BUKTHSYSTEM (1), FUI FUI (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS KEESHA (3) to win

RACE FIVE

This race looks a tough way to close out the quaddie with the majority looking to recapture form. Stripping fitter from her latest outing, DATSGOOD (3) was able get around safely which is a big plus with her questionable manners. Fighting on to claim the bronze, this is no harder and she is worth a ticket.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5) has been given a brief let-up since his last outing when finding the line in nice order from back in the pack and only 8m from the winner LETS DIG IT. A tidy 2nd here 3 starts back from the pocket trail, if he can find position cheaply, look for him issuing a challenge.

AROONA (7) will need a slice of luck from his gate, but if able to sight space in time, can be making a closing play. A winner here 3 starts back, he has claimed the bronze his past 2 and will be probing.

GIGANTIC JASPER (2) has the solitary win to his name, but lands the type of gate to settle near the pointy end of proceedings. Too far back here 2 starts back, he is an exotic hope with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: DATSGOOD (3), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5), AROONA (7), GIGANTIC JASPER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DATSGOOD (3) to win

RACE SIX

HUGHIES SISTER (7) will make her 1st appearance at the triangle and gets into this contest a fair class drop. Offsetting that is the tough alley, but following out a sharp beginner, she might just get the right run in transit. Only 6m from SHEISWATCHING 2 starts back, she can make her Qld breakthrough.

ARBIT MAJOR (6) has no favours from the wide gate here yet should appreciate this class of contest. Hitting the line in nice style from back in the pack after starting from the 2nd line last start, he has been facing some tough gates in recent outings. With the right cart into the contest he has claims.

ZED EXPRESS (1) wasn’t suited when forced to race tough in the breeze last start and faded badly under the weight of effort. Within 2m of the winner the start prior, look for a sharper effort from this alley.

NICSTAR (8) was sent to the breeze last start from the 2nd line when 5m from the winner FUI FUI. Chiming in late to grab the bronze 2 starts back, he can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: HUGHIES SISTER (7), ARBIT MAJOR (6), ZED EXPRESS (1), NICSTAR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HUGHIES SISTER (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

WHERES SEGGY (9) will make his 1st appearance at Redcliffe attempting a last-ditch attempt at a QBRED 2YO bonus. Sent to the front last start at AP he was able to control the race well, but couldn’t quite hold them off when 4m from the winner GUY LOOKS GOOD. The gate hurts but he might just have enough on them.

ABBEY DIADEMA (1) will hope to break the maiden tag at start 11, having just a solitary place to her name. Forced into some work in the early stages last start, she wilted late after the early burn. Having previously showed speed from this gate, the options present and she can get close.

DUSTY PLAINS (4) started from gate 5 last time out and after drifting across to find position, returned a tidy effort behind BOPPIN THE BLUES. With even luck she can feature in this.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (7) will take benefit from his latest start when returning for his 2nd racing prep. He struck trouble in the run at return but the run still had merit and with a cosy trip here can probe for the openings.

SELECTIONS: WHERES SEGGY (9), ABBEY DIADEMA (1), DUSTY PLAINS (4), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

DAENERYS STORMBORN (11) has been runner-up at her past 3 starts, the latest when 5m from THE REAPER after working home in good order wide off the track. Only beaten a half-head here 3 starts back, her record here at the triangle is superb with a top-2 at 9 of 12 outings and she can take this.

THE REAPER (3) showed the benefit of added fitness and after a tidy 3rd to MONORAIL when 2nd up was able to capitalise and open his account here last week. Stepping cleanly and taking them all the way off his front tape, he goes back 10m here, but with the added experience, can challenge here.

NORAHS FLING (9) was able to work forward in the early stages off her 30m tape last start and wasn’t far away in finishing a 7m 3rd. A Marburg winner 4 starts back, she can work into the money.

DAY TOURER (5) has a tough 30m impost, but with his excellent manners from the strands can get himself in the contest early. Only fading in the closing stages last start, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: DAENERYS STORMBORN (11), THE REAPER (3), NORAHS FLING (9), DAY TOURER (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

CHANCELESS CENTURY (6) has placed in 2 runs since shifting to the Turpin barn and should appreciate the drop to class of opponent. From the pocket trail last start he held on for the bronze behind TAAFEITE and 2 back was grabbed in the closing stages. This looks his chance for the breakthrough.

TORQUE IS TRENDING (1) is a Mr Feelgood (6 of the 8 in tis race are) gelding on debut for Wayne Graham. He has trialled here at the triangle, the latest behind OUR LITTLE GIRL enough to suggest that with the benefit of the inside gate he can play his part in this contest.

ALSJEANSMAXSSTAR (4) has placed in all 4 career starts, the latest when beaten a head. Looking to take then all the way he was grabbed in the closing stages. The gate is sticky, but he is in the mix.

REGALIA (8) should appreciate getting back against his own age in this and hasn’t been too far away in recent starts. Tracking home nicely last start when 4m in arrears, with the right trip he has claims.

SELECTIONS: CHANCELESS CENTURY (6), TORQUE IS TRENDING (1), ALSJEANSMAXSSTAR (4), REGALIA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHANCELESS CENTURY (6) to win
