RACE TWO

DEECAESAR (9) has placed in all 3 starts since arriving on his Winter trip, the latest a strong effort. The engine of the 3-wide train, he loomed up to 2nd off the back, just peaking on a strong run as ESCALERA ripped home in 27 from the front. Runner-up to CULTURE KING the start prior, he is knocking on the door.

MOHS EM DOWN (3) was a winner here 3 starts back when putting them away with a slick move turning off the back over this trip to cruise home to a big 13m victory. Starting at tens-on last start, he was a spent force some way from home over the mile after setting a slippery tempo. He can atone.

HEZA BROMAC (1) worked home in nice fashion last start to grab the bronze behind MAJOR GENERALJUJON. Too far back the start prior after retreating from gate 4, the ace is a big plus here.

STORMY RAIDER (12) has no favours from the extreme gate here which comes as a result of his early error 2 starts back. Grinding away last start after a torrid trip outside ROCKNROLL CLASSIC, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: DEECAESAR (9), MOHS EM DOWN (3), HEZA BROMAC (1), STORMY RAIDER (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

KID MONTANA (5) was a dominant winner over the mile here 3 starts back when sent around the field early to face the breeze and then grind them into the track in a strong mile. With some slick closing sectionals when 5m away at his next start, the effort was franked in scoring a stylish win wide off the track last start. With even luck he can add another victory.

CRUZ (8) has taken all before him on his Northern campaign and lines up here looking to make it 4 from 4. Squeezing into the pocket trail last start, he finished best to score over the pacesetter MAYWYNS BEST. Too good in front over the 2138m the start prior, he will need luck from this gate.

SCOOB OPERATOR (3) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and when sighting some space was strong to the line to be 3m from the winner CRUZ. A strong winner here 2 starts back, he can feature once again.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (2) was much sharper last time out when hitting the line strongly in the closing stages. Firing an early shot here will avail options and he can build on his latest effort.

SELECTIONS: KID MONTANA (5), CRUZ (8), SCOOB OPERATOR (3), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KID MONTANA (5) to win

RACE FOUR

A tough mares qualifier here with quite a few of these bringing some handy form and a front line that looks flush with speed.  MOREAU DRIVE (3) was a beaten fav at her 1st AP outing but was shown to have pulled up with a vet issue. Weaving a passage last week at her return, she was finding the line strongly to grab 2nd behind TUAPEKA LIGHT. She can make the most of the gate.

DOUBLEDELIGHTBRIGADE (7) took on the higher graded mares at her 1st Qld appearance here last week and could not have been any more impressive in scoring a 1st up win. Spearing across from gate 6 to find the front over the 2138m, she put them away in running a slick sub 55 closing half. The gate stings but a repeat effort is achievable.

GINATIANO (10) has been running some nice race of late, sneaking in under the radar. Closing out in nice order last week for 3rd to TUAPEKA LIGHT, it followed a tidy 2nd when hitting the line strongly. If they overcook it up front, she can charge late.

ARMA NAUGHTY (2) had little luck here last week when there was a scrimmage on the home turn, and she was forced to take evasive action. With the speed to fire the 1st shot here, she looms as podium player.

SELECTIONS: MOREAU DRIVE (3), DOUBLEDELIGHTBRIGADE (7), GINATIANO (10), ARMA NAUGHTY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ARMA NAUGHTY (2) to place

RACE FIVE

AT WEST POINT (10) has been brutalising his opponents in recent starts in a display of power running dominance. Claiming the Redcliffe track record 3 starts back when becoming the 1st to go sub 54 on the Triangle, he has gone 51 and 51.6 for his past 2 AP mile victories. Gate 10 changes it up here, but he can dominate again.

PACIFIC DRUMS (9) lands another tough gate, the calling card of his career. Sent around to the breeze from gate 10 last start, he was grafting away to hold on for the silver behind KILLARA KAOS. Fitter for that run where he was 1st up in 7 weeks, he will be looking to make a closing play.

PINUP BOY (1)  worked home in nice order from the running line last start to grab 2nd when only a head from the winner over the 2138m trip. From the gate he can use his early speed to feature.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (8) was a Redcliffe winner 2 starts back when capitalising on gate 1 to take them all the way. With an economical trip on offer, he will be probing for the gaps to chime in.

SELECTIONS: AT WEST POINT (10), PACIFIC DRUMS (9), PINUP BOY (1), CONVAIR HUSTLER (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

5 Heats of this Series were held at Marburg last Sunday with the first 2 home in each heat progressing. Returning from a spell in his heat, ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (9) was sent to the breeze in the middle stages from a 2nd line gate when holding on for the silver. Fitter for the run, he can get a nice trail through early to finish over the top of them late.

ALLSTAR SEA (2) finally cracked it for a Qld victory when finding the front and then dictating to a smart win. Running a strong closing 800m around the tight Marburg track, he made full use of a front-line gate. Landing the front again for the final, he can fire the early shots to throw down a big challenge.

BUKTHSYSTEM (1) was a heat winner after settling in the 1x1 trail and then finishing best to take the prize. A heat winner of the previous series before a 3rd in the final to VIEWBYTHEROCK, the gate gives him options to exploit.

VIEWBYTHEROCK (4) claimed victory here 3 starts back in the Final of the most recent of these Series’. Too tough on that occasion, he claimed a heat victory after a tough and interrupted trip. He will be laying it down again.

SELECTIONS: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (9), ALLSTAR SEA (2), BUKTHSYSTEM (1), VIEWBYTHEROCK (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (9) to win

Exotics 1-2-4-9

RACE SEVEN

KEY LARGO (2) was victorious at cricket-score odds here last time out when sent forward in search of the lead from gate 5. Pressing forward to take control, he was able to take them all the way in claiming a career PB mile. Fitter again, he has the gate to pounce on the pegs and will be gripping on.

TACTICAL RESPONSE (10) earned a return to the main draw last start but in a tough break comes up with gate 10 once again. Closing strongly last start to be within 4m of the winner THE DEMOCRAT, it was an eye-catching effort. His run that saw him banished to the ODM was big behind KILLARA KAOS and if there is front-row riot, he can stun them late.

COMMODORE JUJON (6) is bursting to win one of these qualifiers when he can land conditions to suit. Closing for the bronze behind THE DEMOCRAT last start, his win 2 back was full of merit.

HURRICANE ROY (8) will need a slice of luck from this alley as he looks set to be locked away. Hitting the line nicely from 3 back here on Tuesday, he can be probing for the openings to offer.

SELECTIONS: KEY LARGO (2), TACTICAL RESPONSE (10), COMMODORE JUJON (6), HURRICANE ROY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

ROCKNROLL DUDE (4) has been in the money at 3 of his 4 starts since returning to Qld under the care of Ron Sallis. Grabbed in the closing stages over the 1780m at Redcliffe by the in-form TUAPEKA LIGHT 2 starts back, he gave nothing a chance last time in a slick last 800m in front to score. He can look to dictate.

THEARTOFINFUSION (8) was sent forward from gate 6 over the Redcliffe 2040m trip last time out. Grinding it out, he proved too tough in claiming a 3m victory. Buried in the run over the sprint trip the start prior, he was probing for runs when 3rd to CONVAIR HUSTLER. He just needs some space.

IDEAL TIGER (9) worked home soundly last start behind the passing lane winner JEROSH when 8m in arrears. Snagged back from gate 5 and working home wide there, he can be charging home in this.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) found the right race here mid-week when proving too tough in the breeze to claim victory over the 2138m. With the good gate, he can get the right trip to feature.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DUDE (4), THEARTOFINFUSION (8), IDEAL TIGER (9), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL DUDE (4) to win

RACE NINE

HE AINT FAKIN (3) resumes from a spell here for the visiting Frisby stable with his last race outing coming in the G1 Bathurst Gold Crown Final when making an early error that ended his chances. Runner-up to LOCHINVAR CHIEF in his heat of that series, his trial here on Tuesday was sharp and he looks ready to roll.

OUR UNCLE DAN (6) was runner-up to HE AINT FAKIN in a trial here mid-week after pressing forward to lead them over the last 1000m before being gunned down in the closing stages. A winner of 3 in succession prior to going for a break, his last run before the break when winning was a strong effort.

CAPTAIN CRUSADER (5) franked a smart trial victory with a 1st up Qld victory at Redcliffe last time out. Sent straight to the front, he was never in danger in cruising home to an easy victory. He can build off that.

SELECTIONS: HE AINT FAKIN (3), OUR UNCLE DAN (6), CAPTAIN CRUSADER (5), JUSTA LITTLE BIT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HE AINT FAKIN (3) to win

RACE TEN

With his manners meaning his never at full confidence GREG THE GREAT (7) can be hard for punters to back with confidence also. Up to old tricks here on Tues when ending his chances with an early error, it had followed a strong closing 2nd to LAVROS TEXAS. Under these conditions, if he can trot cleanly, he can arrive.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (10) pressed ahead to find the breeze here last time out from this same impost over the 2647m trip. Fading late under the tough trip, he will be much better suited here back to the middle distance. Not too far away under mobile conditions 2 starts back, he will be in the fight.

GARLAND GREENE (12) did not want a bar of the mobile start last time out and after causing a false start then threw it away soon after in the re-take. Trialling since in sharp fashion, if he steps, he can challenge.

CASTLEREAGH (5) makes his Qld debut for Stephen Cini and arrives with a pair of recent Menangle victories, the latest when finishing strongly over the 2300m trip. Hitting the line strongly last start, he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: GREG THE GREAT (7), NORTHERN MUSCLE (10), GARLAND GREENE (12), CASTLEREAGH (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GREG THE GREAT (7) to win

RACE ELEVEN

ESCALERA (1) has been in great touch this campaign since returning from a spell, finishing in the money in all 5 outings. Laying down a career PB over the mile last start when lighting the lamps, it followed a close 2nd in a sizzling mile behind AT WEST POINT. He looks set for an all the way win.

THE DEMOCRAT (10) has a perfect record since arriving in Qld with wins at the Redcliffe 2040m and then here last week over the 2138m when taking a qualifying win. Controlling the tempo in his latest win when finishing with a strong closing 800m, he will need to chase but can muster a challenge.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (8) trailed them in last start after doing some early work from gate 4 over the 2138m. His efforts prior had been good without much luck and the cosy trip back to the mile is ideal.

DAPPER (2) has had the benefit of a peg-line run at his past 3 starts which has seen him in the money on each occasion. Runner-up last start to ESCALERA, he can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: ESCALERA (1), THE DEMOCRAT (10), NEWPORT DREAMZ (8), DAPPER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ESCALERA (1) to win
