RACE TWO

HUNTAWAY (2) speared across from gate 4 to set the tempo here 5 starts back when cruising home to a big 18m victory. Gunned down at his next 3 in succession, the best return was a 2m 3rd to NOTORIOUS. Hitting the line nicely last start from back in the pack, he can bounce back with a dictating win.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (10) has hit some nice form in recent starts, landing in the money at his past 5 in succession. Searching for a hat-trick of wins last start, he was wide off the track when chiming in late from gate 11, running home strongly in some smart closing splits to grab 3rd. He can challenge again.

GINATIANO (1) has been trying her luck in the mares qualifiers in recent outings, placed in 2 of her past 3 in that grade. Charging home in each of those, she will get the cosy trip here to chime in late.

ALBION ARK (8) set the tempo last start and despite getting a good lung full of air through a steady 2nd stanza, couldn’t repel the in-form COPPERFIELD. With an economical trip, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: HUNTAWAY (2), CHANCELESS CENTURY (10), GINATIANO (1), ALBION ARK (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

UNCLE JORD (5) was a powerful winner here 3 starts back at his 1st run in Qld, overpowering them over the mile, with the form strong out of the race where 4 of those he beat having claimed subsequent victories. Chasing home behind the airborne AT WEST POINT at his past 2, this looks his.

SHANWAY (6) made a successful start to his Qld campaign when finishing best to claim a qualifier over the 2138m 2 starts back. Sent to the breeze from gate 3 at the middle-distance last start, he could not maintain the rage when fading in the stretch. The gate stings but he can bounce back.

THATS HOW WEROLL (9) was mid-field last start behind SAINT KILDA BEACH when trying to make closing ground. Chasing in a slice mile behind AT WEST POINT the start prior, he can chime in.

MAKE MINE JOE (2) has taken advantage of landing gate 1 at his past 3 in succession, finishing in the money on each occasion. 3rd to WILL THE WIZARD last start, he can settle handy to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE JORD (5), SHANWAY (6), THATS HOW WEROLL (9), MAKE MINE JOE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE JORD (5) to win

RACE FOUR

ALLELUIA (2)
had trialled in good order in preparation for his return to the track here last week. Tackling a 2138m event, he held the pocket trail and went within an eyelash of victory when angling to the passing lane and just taking a little too long to really wind up. Fitter for the run, he can break a long winless streak.

MONTANA CHIEF (1) was beaten by the wide gate last start when forced to retreat and was then too far back in the pack to make a meaningful challenge. Not suited the start prior in the Band 5 Final behind CULTURE KING, he lands his favoured conditions here and will be swooping late in this.

HARD TO HEAR (4) eased from gate 5 last start over the 2138m to settle back in the pack. With the closing tempo favouring those at the front-end, it was a sound effort behind SAINT KILDA BEACH. The small field suits.

ULTIMATE AD (3) was locked away in behind the leader last start and could not really go when the power went on late. Grinding away the start prior after working hard in the run, he has podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: ALLELUIA (2), MONTANA CHIEF (1), HARD TO HEAR (4), ULTIMATE AD (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLELUIA (2) to win

RACE FIVE

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (3) fired off the arm in the Marburg to Albion Final last start to set up the store at the front end. Keeping the tempo solid throughout with sub 30 panels, he was only grabbed late to be 1m in arrears of the passing lane winner BUKTHSYSTEM. With early bullets to fire, he will be gripping on.

SIR JUJON (11) was wide off the track last start at Redcliffe over the 1780m when arriving for a tidy win. Sent forward from the 2nd line the start prior to find the front, the early power stung him late as GOJOE arrived for the prize. The gate hurts but with the right cart into the contest can make a play.

ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (5) has claimed the bronze at her past 2 starts, the most recent over the Redcliffe 1780m when grabbed in the closing stages after setting the speed. She can be thereabouts.

COPPICE (12) has no favours from this gate and will need some luck in transit. Hitting the line nicely against the tempo last start from a long way back, look for him chiming in late again here.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (3), SIR JUJON (11), ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (5), COPPICE (12)
SUGGESTED BET: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (3) to win

RACE SIX

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (6) lined up from inside the 2nd line here on Tuesday and was soon buried in the run. With the tempo set up for the front-markers through a 62.5 opening half, he was searching for gaps when 9m and mid-field behind the winner ARTHUR LOWE. Back to claiming grade looks ideal in this line-up.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (9) was eased from gate 6 last start over the mile and was soon a long way back in the pack in securing position. Hitting the line in good order when 6m in arrears, it followed a similar effort also from gate 6. The 2138m is in his favour and he can be closing hard from the gate.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8) started from the 2nd line last start over the mile when looking to chime in late and finishing 3m shy of the winner OUR BONDI BEACH. Relying on some luck here, he will be searching for gaps.

ONE WISE MAN (2) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last time out and with the cosy trip was making a dive at them late when only a half-neck off the winner. He will be thereabouts again from this gate.

SELECTIONS: LEXUS ON THE BEACH (6), WATTLEBANK FLYER (9), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8), ONE WISE MAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

AWESOME OLLIE (3) has the solitary win to his name when firing off he arm from gate 4 to take them all the way here 6 starts back. Since that win he has faced a 2nd line gate on 3 occasions and the times he landed the front, things did not really work out. He looks to get a chance to bounce back.

NOR WESTA (2) sat back off a pedestrian tempo at Redcliffe last start and finished strongly to arrive for a tidy win against the pattern. That was her 1st run in Qld this trip for Scott Hewitt and taking fitness from the effort can settle closer to the action here and be ready to make a closing play.

SIGNOR JUJON (8) has placed at his past 3 starts and although requiring a slice of luck from this gate will be searching for the gaps. Grabbed late after setting the tempo last start, he will be probing.

ABECROMBIE TAB (9) angled to the pegs over the 2138m here on Tuesday and chased home for the bronze behind the dictating FOUR STARZZZ FORSA hen 9m in arrears. Placed in 4 of 6 this Northern campaign, he can add to that.

SELECTIONS: AWESOME OLLIE (3), NOR WESTA (2), SIGNOR JUJON (8), ABECROMBIE TAB (9)
SUGGESTED BET: AWESOME OLLIE (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

With the small field and how they shape up, ITS SUPER EASY (8) looks to get into this race nicely and comes into the contest with a top-3 finish at his past 6 in succession. Grinding it out in the breeze last start when within 2m of the winner JIVE, he has options and looks to have their measure.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6) started fav last time out when 2nd up from a break taking on the Redcliffe sprint trip. Starting from the 2nd line, he was a long way back in the pack when making a charge, ultimately falling 2m shy of victory. Fitter for the run following a tidy 1st up run, he can challenge.

REMEMBER ME NOW (7) rolled forward last start from gate 6 and was obliged to race tough outside the leader. In for the fight when within 2m of the winner to claim 3rd, he can feature once again.

SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (2) was eased from gate 6 last start in the Marburg to Albion Final and the sectionals made it tough for those chasing. Beaten a head in the heats, she can fire the 1st shot here.

SELECTIONS: ITS SUPER EASY (8), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6), REMEMBER ME NOW (7), SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS SUPER EASY (8) to win

RACE NINE

HE AINT FAKIN (5) was sent to the post as fav here last Saturday night when returning from a 4-month break at his 1st run in Qld. With a gear issue as they approached release, he took no part and was later declare a non-runner. Favouritism in that race came courtesy of a slick trial and he can bounce back.

SCOTCH EN ICE (3) was showing a solid performance was not far away after placing in 2 of his previous 3 starts. Starting fav at his last start, he speared off the arm to take control and once in front was untroubled in claiming an 11m victory. He can tuck in behind and looms large.

OUR UNCLE DAN (7) returned from a spell at his 1st Qld appearance when closing in good order behind CAPTAIN CRUSADER. A winner at 3 in succession prior to his spell, the gate stings his hopes.

DON HESTON (2) was an easy Redcliffe winner at his Qld debut when leading all the way as a red figure fav. Luckless from gate 7 behind JASPER last time out, the improved gate is a big plus here.

SELECTIONS: HE AINT FAKIN (5), SCOTCH EN ICE (3), OUR UNCLE DAN (7), DON HESTON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HE AINT FAKIN (5) to win

RACE TEN

OKANAGAN (1) has placed at his past 3 in succession, the latest when holding on for the bronze behind ALDEBARAN SELENA in the Springboard Final after working hard in the run. If he can bring the manners that saw him win the 1st 3 starts of his career, he looks to have the measure of them.

DEAD SET MUSCLE (2) held the pocket trail 2 starts back and chased hard to grab the silver behind DEFENSIVE GUY when 10m in arrears. Best of the chasers behind the big winner ALDEBARAN SELENA the start prior, a cosy trip looks available.

HURRIKANE SPIRIT (4) looks to have some ability but has plenty of convictions at this early stage of his career to go with it. Well beaten last start, can he find some manners to feature?

SELECTIONS: OKANAGAN (1), DEAD SET MUSCLE (2), HURRIKANE SPIRIT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OKANAGAN (1) to win

RACE ELEVEN

NO LOVE ABOUT IT (1) has placed in 7 of his 14 starts for the season and looks to have found his race for his 1st 3YO victory. Setting the tempo last start off the front tape, he was only nabbed in the closing stages by SHEGOTSASS. With good manners at release, he can dictate.

FIRST OFFENCE (2) was slowly away last start and not the cleanest before having a look for the front. Repelled he then faded after a tough trip. If he can step cleanly, a cosy trip looks on offer.

MISTAKES WERE MADE (3) started twice in her 2YO term for a win and a 3rd and has not been seen since. With 3 trials to prepare for her return, she may be giving away too big of a fitness edge.

SELECTIONS: NO LOVE ABOUT IT (1), FIRST OFFENCE (2), MISTAKES WERE MADE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: NO LOVE ABOUT IT (1) to win
