RACE TWO

JAMAICAN RESORT (1) takes his 1st look at the Triangle here and importantly comes up with a good alley after re-inclusion to the main draw. Put out of the draw 3 starts back at Marburg, he then made a critical error in transit last start. Improved last time behind PHIL BROMAC, this looks within reach.

A BETTER CHANCE (7) will be sweating on the passing lane from this gate and with the opportunity for the economical trip behind the speed, will be ready to take her shot. Working home in good order last start from gate 9 when wide-out, she was only 3m away here 2 starts back. Can strike late.

SIXPENNY RED (6) struck early trouble last start and faces the ODM embargo here. Runner-up the start prior albeit never really a threat, she can look to press forward and has place claims.

CANNAN (3) went back early from a wide gate at Marburg and from back in the pack was then facing a task. Hitting the line in good order the start prior, limiting the early burn can see him chime in.

SELECTIONS: JAMAICAN RESORT (1), A BETTER CHANCE (7), SIXPENNY RED (6), CANNAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JAMAICAN RESORT (1) to win

RACE THREE

DOOLITTLE DANDY (7) will be reliant on a rub of the green and some factors in his favour here, but if that can happen, he will be ready to strike when the gaps open. Locked away at Marburg last start when probing, he had placed his previous 2 starts. Despite no wins at this trip, the cosy run suits.

READILY (9) may have gate 9 and is struggling to recapture winning form, but  his latest run and his opposition here suggest that he might have found conditions to turn back the clock. Kept fresh since his last outing where he worked home nicely, with a cart into the contest, he can be in the mix.

BERTILS DELIGHT (1) has the benefit of the ace and with early speed can hustle to protect the poles. Placed in 4 of her past 5 starts, the latest when within a half-neck of the winner, she is in the fight.

MAJOR GRANDEUR (3) couldn’t work into it last start over the Ap mile when finishing down the line. That followed a 15m win here over the 1780m and despite rising to 2040m, back to Redcliffe suits.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DANDY (7), READILY (9), BERTILS DELIGHT (1), MAJOR GRANDEUR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: READILY (9) to place

RACE FOUR

CAM YOU FEEL IT (4)
started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon hopelessly buried in the run and trying to make ground from a long way back as GOJOE cruised home to score. Runner-up here 2 starts back when charging home and beaten a lip, this looks the right conditions to capitalise.

LA PISTOLA (8) eased from gate 4 last start over the 2040m before attacking the line strongly to be within 4m of the winner MOUNT HERCULES. Placed his previous 2 starts when within 4m of the winner on each occasion at the 1780m, with the right early trial through, he can challenge.

ALLY PINK (2) made the perfect race debut last week when showing early speed, releasing, then making the closing shot a winner to score a smart win. With the added experience from that outing, she looms large here.

KAY NORA SHANNON (5) took on a qualifier last start and from a wide gate found the opposition too slick when trailing in behind THE DEMOCRAT. Back to this grade, she is a chance despite the gate.

SELECTIONS: CAM YOU FEEL IT (4), LA PISTOLA (8), ALLY PINK (2), KAY NORA SHANNON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CAM YOU FEEL IT (4) to win

RACE FIVE

MONTANA EXPRESS (6) worked home in good order last start to grab the silver behind GOJOE. Fading after a tough trip in the breeze here 2 starts back, he was charging home over this trip 3 back when 7m from the winner MONTEREY JACK. He can roll the sleeves if required and this is within reach.

GHOST GUM (1) pressed through from the 2nd line in the early stages last start in a tidy effort when 8m in arrears of the in-form MADAMOISELLE JUJON. 5m from DAPPER BESSIE the start prior when settled in the pocket trail from this gate, he can get the soft trip again and look for the grey taking inside runs.

ALL GOOD WALLY (9) was luckless last start at Marburg, searching for position, locked away and then closing nicely to only be 4m in arrears. Arriving from this gate 3 starts back, he will be swooping.

BARBOO (7) found the right conditions last start and after securing the 1x1 trail had bullets to fire late in claiming the prize. This is a step up, but the economical trip suits and he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA EXPRESS (6), GHOST GUM (1), ALL GOOD WALLY (9), BARBOO (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (7) started from this gate 2 starts back when working into the running line and closing out for the silver. Caught in an early speed battle that saw the opening panel go up in 26.1 before opting for the trail, he was down the line. Back to a soft trip here at Redcliffe, he just needs momentum when the lane arrives.

ACOLNAMEDSU (3) worked to the front here last start over the sprint trip. Controlling it through an easy opening half, it was dialled up from the 800m to leave them chasing in vain as he scored a smart 5m victory. He might be forced to grind it out here, but looks to get his chance for a repeat win.

MISTER FAHRENHEIT (1) does his best work when able to dictate and from the ace will get his chance to look for an all the way win. A winner 3 starts back when leading throughout, he will be gripping on.

PACIFIC COIN (4) should find this assignment easier than his past 3 where he has taken on qualifiers. Not too far away on each occasion, finding position cheaply from the sticky gate will be critical here.

SELECTIONS: TEARAWAY DIAMOND (7), ACOLNAMEDSU (3), MISTER FAHRENHEIT (1), PACIFIC COIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TEARAWAY DIAMOND (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

DAPPER BESSIE (8) was locked away against the markers here last start from inside the 2nd line when making good closing ground to be 3m from the winner BIG IN AMERICA. Chasing home from the 2nd line at both starts prior to that, she will be suited by what looks a solid tempo here and can sweep home to score.

CALLMEDEMARO (5) was a Marburg winner 5 starts back when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line and proving too strong. Placed in 3 of his 4 starts since that victory, his efforts have been solid behind the winners BOMBADIER JUJON and MAJOR MUCHA at his past 2. He can throw it down here.

BIG IN AMERICA (3) speared out to find the front here last time out over the sprint trip and with the power on took them all the way. Not too far from MADAMOISELLE JUJON 2 starts back, she can fire the early shots here.

GOALKICKER (1) will take further benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Snagged back early from gate 6, she was too far back to issue a challenge. With the improved gate a sharper effort can be expected.

SELECTIONS: DAPPER BESSIE (8), CALLMEDEMARO (5), BIG IN AMERICA (3), GOALKICKER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DAPPER BESSIE (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOTTA MOMENT (6) has a tidy record here at the triangle with 2 wins and 3 minors in 9 attempts. After holding on for 3rd in a sizzling 1.51 mile behind AT WEST POINT 3 starts back, he was luckless but still closed nicely over the 2138m. Sent to the breeze from the 2nd line at Marburg last start, his previous runs were franked in scoring a strong win. The gate hurts, but he can go back-to-back.

BURMACH (9) had an early look last start before settling in the 1x1 trail, making a closing lunge o get within a flared nostril of success. Wide off the track here 2 starts back when grabbing the bronze behind HEART OF COOPER, he has no favours from gate 9, but can be looking to challenge late.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (5) started from outside the front line in a qualifier last time out when snagging back early to find position. Sound to the line for a mid-field finish, his runs have had merit from tough gates in recent outings. Despite another sticky alley, he has claims.

MAN FROM BRAAVOS (4) loves a 4th and lines up here after finishing one spot out of the placings at his past 5 in succession. Forced to grind it out last start in the breeze, he can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA MOMENT (6), BURMACH (9), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (5), MAN FROM BRAAVOS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA MOMENT (6) to win

RACE NINE

ROCKNINGIRA (7) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when forced to do it the tough way at Marburg in the breeze. Only fading in the closing stages in a slick last 800m, it was a stylish effort. Buried away from this gate 2 starts back, he looks set to position in the trail here. He will be ready to pull the trigger when the gap opens.

RITCHIE BEE (1) is a smart beginner who can look to make the most of the inside gate. Releasing the pressure last start, the tempo made it tough for anything chasing. Grabbed in the closing stages here 2 starts back when lighting the lamps, he has the options here to lay down the challenge.

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (6) is in great touch despite having a terrible record with drawing a barrier. Searching for a hat-trick of wins last start, he was game in defeat after being sent to the breeze from gate 5 to do the grafting work. He will be in for the fight once again.

RED TERROR (8) took on a qualifier last start over the 2138 and after being caught wide snagged back to the pegs and from back in the pack was then never a factor. Better suited in this, he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNINGIRA (7), RITCHIE BEE (1), SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (6), RED TERROR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNINGIRA (7) to win
