RACE ONE

THUNDER MAC (8)
resumes from a spell and will be 1st up for the Darrel Graham yard. From just 4 career starts he has won his past 2 in succession, including at Alexandra Park that races the right handed direction. A winner at Newcastle at his Aust debut he looks too classy here.

LEO THE LION (7) will need a slice of luck to go his way in the run but with that scenario he can be working into the race late to fill a placing. 3 starts back he took a race at Gympie when closing out strongly once into space and then went within a neck of wining behind INCITER.

IRRESISTIBLE GABBY (4) was a Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when starting from gate 4 and finishing best down the centre of the track to score. Forget her next start when striking trouble with her latest start a luckless effort behind SANTASTIC PRINCESS. She has podium claims.

OUR CHAMPION (5) resumes from a spell having last raced back in March. 4 starts back he worked to the front from gate 2 at Redcliffe and was able to lead all the way for a maiden breaking win. Some claims from the wider gate.

SELECTIONS: THUNDER MAC (8), LEO THE LION (7), IRRESISTIBLE GABBY (4), OUR CHAMPION (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 8 / 4-5-7

RACE TWO

SHADOW PASS (6) is undefeated since arriving in Aus with wins at Redcliffe and a pair of wins at Marburg. Impressive at his debut when running smart time at Redcliffe when working home strongly he followed that with a tough win from a tough gate at Marburg. He looks to have their measure.

CALL ME YOURS (7) scored victory at Albion Park 5 starts back when sent forward from gate 5 and proved too strong in the run to hang on for a head victory. 3 starts back and with the benefit of gate 1 she used the passing lane to get within 1.5m of victory. With a slice of luck she is the quinella.

MACHBINO (4) finished 3rd to CALL ME YOURS at AP 4 starts back and followed that with another 3rd when looking to lead throughout from gate 3 at Redcliffe. Too far back on Sat night in the Marburg to AP final he couldn’t work into the race and can be closer to the action here to place.

RHIANNON SHANNON (1) held the front early before releasing to the winner CIRCLE LINE in a Marburg heat and finished 7.5m from the winner. Progressing to the final her run was OK when finishing mid-field and with the benefit of the ace gate here can be in the right position.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW PASS (6), CALL ME YOURS (7), MACHBINO (4), RHIANNON SHANNON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADOW PASS / CALL ME YOUR (6/7) Quinella

RACE THREE

RORY MACH (6) was a winner in claiming company at AP on Tues after securing the perfect trip and when he saw space he sprinted sharply to land victory running away. He narrowly missed a Rising Stars final after finishing just 4m from the winner and despite the wide gate he is worth a ticket here.

ANOTHER BROADWAY (7) is the class runner in the race but has some tricks and last start at Redcliffe made an early error that cost him any chance in the race. His 1st up run was in a strong Sat night contest and he only needs to be on his best behaviour to take this.

ELZBOY (2) has placed at his past 3 in succession across 3 different tracks. Last start he was working home strongly in the latter stages from a 2nd line gate to get within 2m of the winner DOOLITTLE DANDY. His run 3 starts back at Redcliffe was a tidy effort and with the early advantage from the gate can fill the trifecta.

EPIRUS BOY (5) finished down the line behind RORY MACH on Tues when he couldn’t run on in the closing stages over the 2138m trip. If he can repeat his run of 3 starts back when he was making good closing ground to be a 3.5m 2nd he will be thereabouts in this.

SELECTIONS: RORY MACH (6), ANOTHER BROADWAY (7), ELZBOY (2), EPIRUS BOY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:  RORY MACH (6) to win
