RACE TWO

GOVERNOR JUJON (7) was 2nd up since July here last week when settling back off the speed as the lead changed on 3 occasions. When asked for the effort, he had too many answers for them in cruising home to claim a 4m victory. Fitter from that run, he can overcome the gate to stamp his class on this event.

BLACKSADANCE (6) tried to stay forward of GOVERNOR JUJON in their clash last week and that saw him press forward to find the front with 1200m left to run. Keeping the power on once he found the front, he was clinging on to finish 2nd. He too will be fitter again as he tries to turn the tables.

RANGER BOMB (3) heads to Qld with the powerful Craig Cross influx after missing out on the Breeders Crown Final when 7th to MACH DAN in the semi-final at Melton. He scores the gate advantage over the main 2 dangers and can look to capitalise on that.

VIRGIL (5) eased from gate 3 to find position as the field broke up under a slick early tempo in the Members Cup last week. Weaving a passage to grab the silver when 3m away, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: GOVERNOR JUJON (7), BLACKSADANCE (6), RANGER BOMB (3), VIRGIL (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

NURBURGRING (3)
should appreciate the alley in this line-up if not required as the emergency in the Queensland Cup. Always facing a task from the 2nd line as the race was controlled in front last start in the Be Good Johnny, he had scored 4 successive wins leading up to that. From this alley he can bounce back.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (7) was back in company last week when settling rearward from gate 10 as the power was on up front. Working home stoutly to grab the silver behind the big winner LILAC FLASH, his previous outings were in open company including a sound effort when 8m form COLT THIRTY ONE 2 starts back. The gate stings but he can be working home late to challenge.

KINGOFTHESTARS (2) faces the same scenario as last week from gate 2 with the same runner to his inside. ON that occasion JOHHNY WHITE held the lead and he worked hard before finally finding the front. Sticking on gamely as LILAC FLASH blew it open, the early burn will be all important.

JOHNNY WHITE (1) kicked up to hold the early lead for almost 1200m last start before relenting for the trail, fading thereafter under the solid tempo. A winner here 2 starts back, the early release might be a better option and can see him have bullets to fire late.

SELECTIONS: NURBURGRING (3), SUBTLE DELIGHT (7), KINGOFTHESTARS (2), JOHNNY WHITE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: NURBURGRING (3) to win

RACE FOUR

The Cross trained BALRAJ (5) looks to have a firm grip on this race and his past 5 outings has claimed the scalps of KING OF SWING and ATA ORLANDO. Down the line behind the star LOCHINVAR ART in the Victoria Cup 2 starts back, he chased KING OF SWING last start when running his last 800 in sub 54 and he has the edge on his rivals.

L L COOL J (4) faces his sternest test to date since arriving in Qld where he is yet to taste defeat in 3 attempts. After dominant wins at the mile including defeating a gallant ONE CHANGE, he stepped up to the 2138m last start when putting the power on early from a wide gate and once in control was never in danger. He looks a smart type and will throw down the challenge.

STRADDIE (1) tackled the Members Cup last week when landing a 2nd line alley. Making a 3-wide move, he closed soundly to be mid-field. With the improved alley he can feature in the minors.

MACH LE MORE (3) is having a run of luck and none of it is in his favour. Retreating from a wide alley last week, he never had an uninterrupted passage when 8m from ALWAYS A SECRET. He can tuck in behind to make a play for the podium.

SELECTIONS: BALRAJ (5), L L COOL J (4), STRADDIE (1), MACH LE MORE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5/ 1-3-4

RACE FIVE

PELOSI (13)
tackled the open mares event last week and was asked to do all the heavy lifting when racing first over. Grinding it out to claim a mid-field finish, she will take benefit from that run which was her first in over a month. Claiming the G1 NSW Breeders Challenge 2 starts back, she can arrive.

FOND MEMORIES (10) secured the cart up from the 800m after settling at the rear from gate 13 in the QBRED feature here last week. Trying to make a late rally, she grabbed the silver as TORQUE ONETWOTHREE landed the loot up the passing lane. Fitter for that 1st up effort, she can challenge.

A RAINBOW DELIGHT (7) was returning from a NSW campaign when tackling the open mares last week from gate 4. Game in defeat after setting the tempo from gate 4 and only 4m in arrears, she can finish in the money from the tough gate.

TRUE STEPPER (9) will be tightened from her run here last week when 2nd up from a spell. Leading the 3-wide train with a lap to travel, she was in for the fight when only 2m from the winner. She can feature again.

SELECTIONS: PELOSI (13), FOND MEMORIES (10), A RAINBOW DELIGHT (7), TRUE STEPPER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: PELOSI (13) to win

RACE SIX

CRUZ (3)
returns to Qld to renew hostilities with the locals after he blitzed his rivals through a Winter rampage here at The Creek. Included in that raid was a track-record equalling mile and a win in the Mr Feelgood over this trip when never in danger in front. With his past 2 outings in strong company at Melton, he can look to capitalise on the gate advantage.

COLT THIRTY ONE (6) was devastating last week and as Chris Barsby called “it’s a monster crush” as he claimed victory after sitting outside TURN IT UP and putting him away in the stretch. That made it a six-pack of successive wins when proving too strong. He will have to be better again this week to win from another tough gate, but he will be in for the fight as he chases a threepeat of Qld Cup wins.

ONE CHANGE (5) secured the easy ride in behind the leader last week and when angled to the passing lane was able to grab the silver behind COLT THIRTY ONE. With even luck he will podium once again.

BRIGHT ENERGY (11) has placed at his past 3 outings at Menangle when chasing home BLING IT ON and KING OF SWING twice. With a cart into the contest from the alley he can make a play for a minor.

SELECTIONS: CRUZ (3), COLT THIRTY ONE (6), ONE CHANGE (5), CLINTAL DO (12)
SUGGESTED BET: CRUZ (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

BOMB SUIT (4)
snagged back from a wide gate at Menangle last time out and from back in the pack was always facing a task as JENDEN STRIKE claimed the prize. Too strong in a mid-week contest there 2 runs back when finishing over the top of them, he can fire off the arm and look to dictate.

COLBY (9) was big in defeat here last week in the Members Cup when 8.5m from the winner ALWAYS A SECRET. Working off the inside to make a play for the lead, he was repelled despite a sustained challenge. Working to the front, he could not fight them off. He can look to challenge here.

WILL THE WIZARD (11) took on the 3YO QBRED feature last week and was wide off the track when looming up to grab the bronze behind GOVERNOR JUJON. With a cart into the contest he has claims.

TIZ A SIZZLER (12) resumes from a spell and has tuned up in nice order at the trials in preparation for his return. Scoring successive wins prior to being shut down, he has a tough gate for the return.

SELECTIONS: BOMB SUIT (4), COLBY (9), WILL THE WIZARD (11), TIZ A SIZZLER (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

NO WIN NO FEED (3) makes her 1st appearance at The Creek and arrives with a last start victory at Melton in the mares 4YO Breeders Crown after leading throughout over the 2240m trip. Her Victorian campaign was hampered by a string of tough barriers, but she lands a good alley here to capitalise.

CHEVRONS REWARD (9) sat back in the pack from gate 6 here last start before peeling wide and charging home down the centre of the track to claim a stylish win in the Queen of the Creek. A smart winner 3 starts back from gate 7, she can get an easy trail without having to restrain and will be powering home.

FAME ASSURED (8) has been all around the money without cashing in this campaign but that has not been a reflection of her effort. Only 2m away last week after working hard from gate 7, she will be probing for open road here.

SAUCY DREAMS (6) was responsible for a brutal victory last start when sitting outside the leader and then putting it away before the turn in claiming a slick 1.53.2 mile victory. The gate stings but she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: NO WIN NO FEED (3), CHEVRONS REWARD (9), FAME ASSURED (8), SAUCY DREAMS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NO WIN NO FEED (3) to win

RACE NINE

BIG WHEELS (1) was 1st up here last week when landing gate 7 and asked to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff outside the leader. Fading in the closing stages after the tough trip, he will strip fitter for the outing. The gate is a huge plus and with early speed can keep the power on and have them chasing.

DANCE IN THE SUN (6) made the most of the gate advantage over her main rivals here last week. Finding the front, she controlled the tempo and with a 27.5 closing panel had them chasing in vain. A winner at 3 of 4 career starts, she will need to find another level with this is her toughest test thus far from the wide gate.

JASPER (4) will take good benefit from her return to the track last week. Landing gate 11, she was working home wide off the track in a tidy 1st up run to grab the silver behind DANCE IN THE SUN. Settling closer to the action, she is in the mix.

FRONTLINER (8) comes up with the 2nd line once again after his 1st up run last week when chiming in late to grab 3rd. He looks set for a cosy trip here and will be ready to take a shot when the lane presents.

SELECTIONS: BIG WHEELS (1), DANCE IN THE SUN (6), JASPER (4), FRONTLINER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG WHEELS (1) to win

RACE TEN

LENNY THE LEGEND (1) sat back in the pack from gate 12 here on Tuesday and was attacking the line powerfully in the closing stages when 2m in arrears of the winner. Mid-field here last Saturday when easing from gate 6 to find position when the power was on up front, he can tuck in for an economical trip at his 3rd run in 7 days before pulling the trigger in the stretch.

KEY LARGO (2) made the most of finding an easier contest here on Monday when proving too strong from the breeze to claim a strong win. 3rd to ITZ MY GENERATION the start prior after being locked on the pegs from inside the 2nd line, he can fire the early bullets and look to fight them off late.

MISTER DONALD (5) capitalised on gate 1 over the Menangle mile last start when leading throughout, including ripping home in a sizzling 26.1 closing panel. He faces a sticky gate here but is in the mix.

COMMODORE JUJON (6) has been consistent and lines up here after a 4m margin behind MYMATEPOG last week from the 2nd line. Runner-up to THATS HOW WEROLL the start prior, he can join in.

SELECTIONS: LENNY THE LEGEND (1), KEY LARGO (2), MISTER DONALD (5), COMMODORE JUJON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LENNY THE LEGEND (1) to win
