RACE TWO

OHOKA COOPER (1) took on AP claiming company 3 starts back and landed gate 11 which were the end of his chances. Following that with a gate 12 over the 2138m he was hitting the line nicely from a long way back. His effort last start was better than the reward and with the options he can look to break a long winless streak dating back to 2016.

BETTOR ATOM (6) has the wide gate but finds his easiest race since arriving in Qld. Sent to the front over the 2138m at AP 2 starts back he was able to take control and was never in danger. He found them a bit slick last start from a 2nd line gate and he can feature here despite the wide alley.

TRAIN WRECK (10) was angled to the pegs from gate 10 last start and was too far back but was still able to hit the line in good style. A nice winner here 3 starts back, he can work and has claims.

SPONDOOLEY (5) was locked on the pegs last start and was hitting the line nicely via the passing lane to grab the bronze. Finding a cheap run look for him swooping home in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: OHOKA COOPER (1), BETTOR ATOM (6), TRAIN WRECK (10), SPONDOOLEY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

RAINBOW ATOMIC (8) was a winner here 5 starts back to break his maiden tag and although not doing much since that win, there have certainly been excuses to explain his results. Last start he was wide and chasing from gate 5 and his run 2 back was a nice effort in much stronger company. With the right early trail he is worth a ticket.

ENARMOURED (7) looked to take them all the way here 2 starts back over this trip and was grabbed in the closing stages to be within 3m of the winner. Wide last start from the 2nd line the run had merit and although she will be hoping for some favours in transit, she can chime in an open race.

MACH TORQUE (10) will find this easier than her past few starts, the latest when chasing gamely from the pocket trail behind the in-form BOULDER CITY. Placed her previous 5 in succession she can podium again here.

NIGHT NINJA (6) doesn’t get any favours from this gate but he has found some good form since resuming from a break. He took them all the way last start for a stylish win and has claims in this.

SELECTIONS: RAINBOW ATOMIC (8), ENARMOURED (7), MACH TORQUE (10), NIGHT NINJA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RAINBOW ATOMIC (8) to win

RACE FOUR

LA PISTOLA (1)
has started twice since resuming from a break with his 2nd up run a nice improvement off his return. Sitting in the pocket trail from this gate he was right there in a blanket finish. With a cosy trip on offer again here, this looks a winnable race and he can take the last shot.

POINT OH FIVE (2) resumes to start his 3YO term and has been to the trials twice to prepare, although the 2nd of those trials was 8 weeks ago. A winner here 2 starts back when leading throughout to break his maiden at 2YO start 6, his race fitness is the only query to him winning.

RUM AND SCHOTZ (3) ended up a long way back in the pack last start and was chasing in a much stronger contest taken by ARK ME. He has been well held in his past 3 but can chime in here.

SHIMANSHYNE (4) showed good improvement last start when 2nd up for the term after returning without a trial. She did her hare of work and only faded late and fitter again can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: LA PISTOLA (1), POINT OH FIVE (2), RUM AND SCHOTZ (3), SHIMANSHYNE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LA PISTOLA (1) to win

RACE FIVE

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) dropped to the pegs last start from gate 8 over the 1780m trip and chased nicely to grab the silver when only 2m from the winner. Not suited in a stronger race at AP 2 starts back when well held from a wide gate, she has good early speed and can look to dictate here.

ROYAL TAZ (7) will be needing a slice of luck from this gate but with a cosy trip can be probing for the gaps to make a closing challenge. He closed strongly to claim victory here 2 starts back and then last start wasn’t suited when doing the heavy lifting in the breeze. Just needs space to charge home.

DONT BE JEALOUS (6) made the most of the ace gate here last start and taking control was never in danger in putting them away in fine style. The wider gate hurts but with even luck she can podium.

FLASHING GOOD TIME (5) was in the pocket trail last start and waiting for the passing lane just marginally lost momentum when she needed space. With good early speed she can find position and can feature.

SELECTIONS: CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2), ROYAL TAZ (7), DONT BE JEALOUS (6), FLASHING GOOD TIME (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) to win

RACE SIX

OUR DOUG (3)
was shuffled to 3 back on the pegs last start and was charging home when the gaps arrived to grab the silver. That followed a nice effort over the 2138m at AP behind MISS BLUE GLORY and his previous 2 were sound efforts from gate 6. With the improved gate he can look to claim this.

MY ULTIMATE MAJOR (2) was wide when looking for position here last start from the 2nd line and chased gamely over the latter stages to grab the silver behind MAYWYN TOUGH. That followed a tidy effort after having an early look in a much stronger contest and this looks his chance to cash-in.

OVERTHEMOON (5) resumes for his 3YO term without the benefit of an official trial. A winner at his final start of 12 at his 2YO season, he might just be needing the run here but stays under notice.

ROLL ONA RAINBOW (4) covered plenty of the triangle here last start when wide and also didn’t have the cleanest of runs. Only beaten a half-neck here 5 starts back he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: OUR DOUG (3), MY ULTIMATE MAJOR (2), OVERTHEMOON (5), ROLL ONA RAINBOW (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DOUG (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

SPIRIT WALKER (9) has the big handicap to work off here but this looks to be a much easier contest than she has been facing. Resuming from a freshen 3 starts back she was a game 2nd to LAVROS TEXAS. Forget she went around last start and with a very impressive record here on the triangle she can get the job done.

HIGH CLOUD LASS (4) has been runner-up her past 2 starts and from the 10m tape is going to be right in the action again here. Taking on the 2040m mobile last start she led them up and was only grabbed late and that followed a cosy trip in the pocket trail. Normally a safe beginner, she is in the mix.

GARLAND GREENE (1) makes his Qld debut for Stephen Cini and arrives the veteran of just 7 race starts. Looking good in an AP trial, if he can handle the triangle he will give some cheek in this.

MY PRECIOUS YANKEE (5) broke through for his 1st career win last start when steeping cleanly and taking them all the way. Showing good improvement his past 2 starts, he can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: SPIRIT WALKER (9), HIGH CLOUD LASS (4), GARLAND GREENE (1), MY PRECIOUS YANKEE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SPIRIT WALKER (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

UNDERTHEKILT (2)
was best of the chasing pack from back in the field at Tamworth 2 starts back behind the big winner COULDNTNOKHIMBAK. Taking on the 2040m trip last start off the 2nd line he was hitting the line in good style and with an improved gate and good early speed he gets his chance.

TELL THE FUTURE (5) rolled to the breeze from the 2nd line last start and was doing the hard yards when fighting on well and not too far from the winner. Run down when looking to lead throughout 2 starts back, she can do the work and will be in for the fight here.
OSCARS GLORY (4) was hustled forward from this gate last start over the middle distance trip and boxed on fairly after find cover. Only 3m from the winner when facing the breeze 2 starts back he is right in this.

ARCHIECANO (1) should be able to hold a nice spot in transit from the gate and with a cosy trip can look to fill in the exotics. Too far back last start from gate 5 the gate helps his chances here.

SELECTIONS: UNDERTHEKILT (2), TELL THE FUTURE (5), OSCARS GLORY (4), ARCHIECANO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: UNDERTHEKILT (2) to win

RACE NINE

GOLDEN YEAR (5)
started from the 2nd line here 2 starts back and was hitting the line in good order to grab the silver over the 2040m behind the in-form CELTIC CRUZA. His run last start from gate 6 was full of merit after snagging back and despite the wide gate, the small field helps his chances to overcome it.

GAME WE PLAY (2) resumes from a spell after not really firing last campaign. He has been trialling in good order and with good early speed he can make the most of no 2nd line runners to slide in behind the 1 horse and with a cosy trip he will get his chance here 1st up.

SURFACE TO AIR (1) can be a risk at the start and his Redcliffe record is not overly inspiring. That said if he can get the start right he should be able to utilise the inside line and with the sprint trip his preferred play, be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: GOLDEN YEAR (5), GAME WE PLAY (2), SURFACE TO AIR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLDEN YEAR (5) to win
