RACE TWO

DATALDO (7) has been to the track 5 times this season, placing in 4 of those and starting fav at his past 3 in succession. Working to the front last start, he was grabbed in the closing strides by STREET APPEAL. The gate stings his chances again here, but he is up to taking the loot here.

LEFT A HURRIKANE (4) found the breeze from this gate over this trip last start and was in for the fight when only 3m from the winner in a sharp mile. Not suited the start prior when buried and looking for space, he can get into the contest here to throw down another challenge.

LORD DIGBY (5) has been back to the track twice since returning for his 3YO term and lines up here fresh since the 2nd run back. 3rd to OUR BALOU when resuming over 2138m, he can bounce back.

SUKI DAYO (1) went to the pegs from gate 4 last start at Redcliffe when looking for the cheap runs and was hitting the line in nice order to be 6m from the winner. From the gate she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DATALDO (7), LEFT A HURRIKANE (4), LORD DIGBY (5), SUKI DAYO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DATALDO (7) to win

RACE THREE

NEWPORT DREAMZ (8) went to the pegs from gate 9 last start looking for the short-cuts when attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to get within a half-neck of the prize. That followed a strong finish when 4m from MILLWOOD TILLY over the 2138m and back to the mile, he looks to get his chance against this line-up.

HIGH ON MONTANA (3) rolled forward to race tough here 2 starts back and in the breeze packed too many guns in claiming the prize. Last start he was strong when wide for a long way off a 2nd line gate when only beaten a neck behind STREET APPEAL. He will throw down a big challenge in this.

JUSTA DALE (4) went to the pegs from gate 12 last start before finding the line strongly, running some smart closing panels in the process. Back into the main draw, settling closer he is in the mix.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (6)
is another that ran home in some slick sectionals at his most recent start despite being well beaten. That was over the 2138m and with his best work at the mile, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: NEWPORT DREAMZ (8), HIGH ON MONTANA (3), JUSTA DALE (4), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWPORT DREAMZ (8) to win

RACE FOUR

THATS HOW WEROLL (6)
started from inside the 2nd line last start and soon found himself buried in transit and looking for space in a much stronger contest. Only 6m from the winner RANDOM TASK 2 starts back when looking for a hat-trick of victories, he looks well-placed on a class drop here.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (3) was brave in defeat here last week after holding the front from gate 1. Kept honest in the lamp-lighting role, he set a sub 1.54 rate for the 2138m trip. With the mountain of work taking its toll, he was brave in holding all bar JOHNNY WHITE at bay. A run of that level will see him go mighty close.

CALLMEDEMARO (1) was a winner here 4 starts back over the middle distance when sent to the front and holding on to take the prize.  Too tough last start from the breeze, he is a big danger here.

COOL SCOOTER (5) will strip fitter following his latest start when 1st up from a break. Settling back in the pack, he held on for a mid-field finish behind JOHNNY WHITE and with the right trip can chime in.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (6), LUCKY UNLUCKY (3), CALLMEDEMARO (1), COOL SCOOTER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS HOW WEROLL (6) to win

RACE FIVE

SECRET JACK (2) started from gate 4 last start when sent to the breeze over the mile and with the power on all the way, proved too strong in taking a 3m victory. That was a nice return to form after going through a slump and from the gate here, can press forward and can get his chance for a repeat.

INTRANSIT (9) started from gate 10 last start and was working home wide off the track when finishing 8m from the winner. That had followed a strong 2nd from gate 6 when only 2m from the passing lane winner THREE MUGS IN. Following through in the early stages, he is a danger.

COURAGEOUS LEO (1) is on the back-up from Sun night at Redcliffe where he was finding the line in good order to grab 2nd. Only a half-head away the start prior, back to claiming grade is a bonus and he can challenge.

KETUT (3) was a passing lane winner here 2 starts back when securing the perfect trip and zipping home to take the prize. Luckless last start when looking for open space, look for him swooping late.

SELECTIONS: SECRET JACK (2), INTRANSIT (9), COURAGEOUS LEO (1), KETUT (3)

SUGGESTED BET: SECRET JACK (2) to win

RACE SIX

DASHING HANNAH (5) will strip fitter following her return to the track last start following a six-month break. 1st up from the break and for a new stable last start she found the front before releasing and then was within 3m of the winner STREET APPEAL. From the gate she can take a tricky contest.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (8) returns from a spell to start his 4YO term and will need a slice of luck from this gate. Still a maiden taking on some well-performed types here, with the easy trip 1st up, he can be probing for some gaps to make a late challenge.

DEVOUGED (4) wasn’t suited when doing the work last start when fading out under the tough run. Not too far behind A RAINBOW DELIGHT the start prior, this looks more to his liking.

OASIS DREAM (11) has the tough gate to overcome but with even luck in transit, this looks within his reach. Locked away last start as B MAC C sprinted to victory, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: DASHING HANNAH (5), CHANCELESS CENTURY (8), DEVOUGED (4), OASIS DREAM (11)
SUGGESTED BET: DASHING HANNAH (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (2) has been crying out to land a marble this campaign and finally it drops in his favour. Doing his share of early work from gate 7 last start when pressing forward, he wasn’t far from the winner URBAN GIRL. Luckless from gate 9 here 2 starts back, this looks his chance to cash-in.

VINNY CHASE (3) was enormous in defeat last week, only beaten 4m after making an error in the run. Re-setting he chase gamely and went to the line full of running.  Hitting the line in nice order the start prior when making his Qld debut from gate 12 in Sat night company, he can go close in this.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (8) has worked his way back into form and will go in search of a hat-trick of victories. Arriving to take a new PB rate over the mile last start, he will get a soft trip here and be looking for space.

BEE GEES BANDIT (1) was locked away 2 starts back and was closing well to be 5m from the winner. He didn’t get into the contest last start and with enough early speed to have options here, is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (2), VINNY CHASE (3), SUBTLE DELIGHT (8), BEE GEES BANDIT (1)

SUGGESTED BET: SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOONLY (6) went to the pegs last start from gate 9 and in the wash-up ended buried 4 back on the poles. Looking for space, he never saw an opening and went to the line probing for gaps and hitting dead-ends. His effort the start prior from gate 6 had merit and he can arrive in an open event.

OUTLAW FELLA (4) was a winner at the mile 4 starts back when finding the front from gate 4 and once in control kept the tempo up in leading throughout in a new career PB rate. Things haven’t been in his favour in the 3 starts since, yet with the good gate here, will get a chance to bounce back.

TOMEARA (1) has faced the starter on 3 occasions since returning from a spell, the latest when breaking stride when looming up wide out. With his best gate for the prep, he can look to capitalise.

SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (8) was snagged back to the pegs from gate 4 last start in looking for short-cuts and never worked into the contest. Fitter again after 2 runs back from a break, he can probe for gaps here.

SELECTIONS: GOONLY (6), OUTLAW FELLA (4), TOMEARA (1), SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOONLY (6) to win
