RACE TWO

CLARES FOOL (2) lands another gate to make the most of his early speed and will be looking to fight them off. Gunned down at his past 2 in succession over this trip when setting the speed, the latest when holding on for 2nd behind SIR SEMPER FIDELIS. Within 2m of MAGGIE the start prior, he will be gripping on.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (5) returns to Qld, this time joining the barn of Ryan Veivers. Last seen back in November in Hobart, he has opened the pipes with a pair of local trials at Redcliffe, the latest a sound effort for this class of contest 1st up. A 3-time winner here at The Creek when last in Qld, he stays under notice fresh.

GROOVY MISS ANNIE (9) has been in nice touch in recent outings including a last start victory at Redcliffe when finding the space to drop into the pocket trail before finishing over the top. With even luck she can feature.

TURN TURN FLYER (8) was eased from gate 5 at The Triangle last start and was then forced to be too wide when trying to make his run into the contest. With a cosy trip on offer here, look for him probing.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (2), IMA BIRUBI BOY (5), GROOVY MISS ANNIE (9), TURN TURN FLYER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARES FOOL (2) to win

RACE THREE

PACIFIC DRUMS (1)
hit the line nicely on Saturday night after being locked away. Taking benefit from the run, his run 2 starts back when fresh was a tidy effort when closing nicely behind PARAVANI. A horse that normally has his runs spaced, the last time he started within 7 days of his previous run was when successful off a short 2-day back-up back in November 2017. The gate is a huge plus.

AQUA MISS (2) will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Chasing home for 3rd when resuming in a small field behind subsequent winner THATS HOW WEROLL, her last start was full of merit when racing first over as PARAVANI dealt in front. The option to dart in behind giver her challenging chances.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (4) is another on the back-up from Saturday where his effort had merit. Strong to the line here 3 starts back behind MISTER DONALD, he can settle handy to feature in this line-up.

ELMS CREEK (6) was big in defeat last start after caught wide searching for position but forced to retreat before hitting the line strongly to be within 2m of the winner CASINO TOMMY. The wide gate stings but the smaller field will help.

SELECTIONS: PACIFIC DRUMS (1), AQUA MISS (2), COURAGEOUS SAINT (4), ELMS CREEK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PACIFIC DRUMS (1) to win

RACE FOUR

OUR FRIEND (5) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to make ground in the closing stages when not picking them up in a slogging go to the wire. Taking on a qualifier the start prior, he was snagged back to the tail from gate 7 when sound to the line behind GOTTA MOMENT. He can settle handy and might just sneak away with this.

JINGLES BROMAC (1) shoots for a hat-trick of victories after successive wins here at the mile when proving too strong on each occasion. An ODM runner, both wins came from gate 7 when sent to the breeze and fighting them off. This is a step up, but he will be confident and back in the draw can go on with it.

CAPTAINS PICK (6) was sent forward from gate 7 last start and was able to find the space to squeeze into the trail. Holding on for 2nd, he has placed in 5 of 6 this season and will not be far away.

LIFEINHEAVEN (8) eased to the pegs from gate 3 last start and then did not see the gaps when needed. With the stalking trip here, she can be ready to take the sniper shot when the lane arrives.

SELECTIONS: OUR FRIEND (5), JINGLES BROMAC (1), CAPTAINS PICK (6), LIFEINHEAVEN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

IMASPORTSSTAR (1)
eased from gate 5 to secure position last start over the mile and from back in the pack was then facing a massive task with the leaders setting a steady tempo. With a turn and burn up the stretch, it was tidy effort under the circumstances. Charging home the start prior, he gets all the options here.

MIDNIGHT MAN (8) returns from a spell and was last seen when claiming a Saturday night victory when taking them all the way over the mile in a career PB rate. Given a steady time in a recent trial to open the pipes, he will have the 2nd line options here and will be an improver of whatever he takes form this.

KINGOFTHESTARS (6) rolled forward to face he breeze last start over the 2138m and was in for the fight when 5m from the winner DOUBLE OR NOTHING. Always off a bad gate, he is always in the mix.

AT WEST POINT (3) went straight to the front here 2 starts back and once in control was able to stroll home to an easy win. He could not go on with it last start from the breeze but can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: IMASPORTSSTAR (1), MIDNIGHT MAN (8), KINGOFTHESTARS (6), AT WEST POINT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IMASPORTSSTAR (1) to win

RACE SIX

FRANCO HAMPTON (8)
was stepping out for the Jack Butler barn for the 1st time last start when sent straight to the front over the mile. Controlling it in front, he was strong to the line in holding the challengers at bay. The change of scenery looks to have worked and from this gate can find the position to capitalise.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (2) was sent around the field from the 2nd line last start when they were walking in the early stages and content to park first over, then had the closing answers to score a narrow victory over the 2138m. Better suited at the mile, he gets back to that trip and with an improved gate gets every chance.

DATTITUDE (4) will take good benefit from his latest offering when returning from a spell. Eased from gate 7, he was looking at making a closing play when running into traffic in a tidy return. With even luck he can make a play.

NEARIS GREEN (5) should take some benefit from his 1st up run when resuming from a freshen and stepping out in Qld for the 1st time. Not completely comfortable in the early stages, he stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: FRANCO HAMPTON (8), NEWPORT DREAMZ (2), DATTITUDE (4), NEARIS GREEN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANCO HAMPTON (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

BONDI SHAKE (8)
is yet to open his 3YO account, but he looks to have found the right conditions here to turn that around. Best of the chasers when 9m from the smart leader TARGARYEN here 2 starts back, he attacked the line strongly here last start after easing from gate 6 to secure position. He will be dressed and ready to dance up the lane.

SCOTCH EN ICE (10) was stepping up to the 2138m trip for the 1st time in his career last start when retreating from gate 6 in the early stages to find position. From back in the pack, he never made an impression as none of the chasers could get into the contest. Back to the mile in this line-up looks more suitable.

LANCELOT BROMAC (5) has been runner-up at his past 3 in succession when attacking the line strongly from poor gates in all 3. Only 1m in arrears last start, he can be chiming in again here.

COPPICE (1) worked forward to lead from gate 4 here 2 starts back over the mile and was trying to fight them off when forced to settle for the bronze. Chasing from the 2nd line last start, he will need to stave off the challengers.

SELECTIONS: BONDI SHAKE (8), SCOTCH EN ICE (10), LANCELOT BROMAC (5), COPPICE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BONDI SHAKE (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

HELLO ITS ME (1)
started from this gate last start over the middle-distance when crossed early by SHEZ ALL STYLE. Stalking and ready to strike, she was able to get within a head of the winner NEWPORT DREAMZ. Too strong when racing first over the start prior, she will be ready for the closing shot once again.

STINGER LINDENNY (7) has no favours from out wide here and will be relying on some early tempo from the pace drawn inside. Easing from gate 5 to the rear before charging home to score 3 starts back, it was followed with a stretch drive tragedy. With a rub of the green, he can challenge here.

BETTATHANIDEAL (8) eased from gate 4 last start and was soon pinned down on the pegs before hitting the line between runners without seeing an uninterrupted passage. He will be probing again.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (3) fired the first shot over the 2138m here last start and from there put the balaclava on to steal a 66 second opening half. Unable to fight them off late to be 1.5m away in 3rd, she will be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: HELLO ITS ME (1), STINGER LINDENNY (7), BETTATHANIDEAL (8), SHEZ ALL STYLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8

RACE NINE

JOHNNY WHITE (8)
will need some factors in his favour but if he can hit the passing lane with momentum, he is going to take some stopping. Making a closing dive last start to get within a half-head of CASINO TOMMY, he was within 3m of CLARRY here 2 starts back. Just needs the gap.

CASINO TOMMY (11) has been in super touch and lines up here in search of the hat-trick. Powering home over the top of them last start at the mile, he was strong from the breeze here 2 starts back at this trip when forging clear to a tough win. The gate stings but with some tempo can be charging.

GOTTA MOMENT (1) wilted here on Saturday night when cutting the breeze over this trip which followed a similar run at the mile when only 3m from the winner. The gate is a big plus to his chances.

SMITHSTARS LEXUS (12) was buried away last start and when the gaps arrived was making some good metres to grab 3rd behind AT WEST POINT. With a cart into the contest here, look for him joining in.

SELECTIONS: JOHNNY WHITE (8), CASINO TOMMY (11), SAM IS PERFECTION (7), SMITHSTARS LEXUS (12)
SUGGESTED BET:
