RACE TWO

A field searching for some form here where the early speed from JAMAICAN RESORT (2) might be the right attribute required to land the loot here. He has been winless since August, but his run here 2 starts back almost changed that when leading all bar, the closing strides. He will be gripping on in this.

TORQUE WRITER (4) started from gate 9 last time out when 2nd up from a break and was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to grab the silver. Trying to take them all the way the start prior, she was nabbed in the last strides when 3rd to EULO FLYER. Fitter again, she can challenge.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1) was forced to roll the sleeves in doing it the tough way last time out and was whacking away to the wire when 3m from the winner. Hustling to hold position, he can chime into the money.

DUKE (8) was locked away on the pegs last start when using the passing lane in the stretch when 6m from the winner. Only a nostril away here 3 starts back from COUNTRY RUN, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: JAMAICAN RESORT (2), TORQUE WRITER (4), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1), DUKE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JAMAICAN RESORT (2) to win

RACE THREE

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (1)
started from inside the 2nd line last start and was pinned down when searching for the gaps to be mid-field behind the swooping winner MALIBU DREAM. Leading them up from this gate here 2 starts back, he led every stride bar the one that counted when worried out of it. He can look to go 2 strides further here.

TAKE IN THE GOLD (8) was looming up wide off the track here 2 starts back when striking trouble and forced to pull up after badly locking wheels. He again struck some trouble last start that likely proved costly when only beaten a head. He is getting ever closer to a win and can throw it down here.

PIN CODE (7) has not really had much in her favour in 4 runs since returning from a spell, the latest when locked away from this same gate. With the chance for the pocket trail, she can join in here.

ROBINMEGOOD (9) eased to the pegs last start to look for the short-cuts and was not that far from the winner PLATINUM PROMISE. An all the way winner here 2 starts back, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: BEEJAYS DELIGHT (1), TAKE IN THE GOLD (8), PIN CODE (7), ROBINMEGOOD (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-7-8-9

RACE FOUR

This looks a tricky contest where the winner could come from any number of runners dependent on the trip they get in this. GHOST GUM (1) has enough early speed to hold them wide and if the looking to take them all the way, might just be able to pinch this. Searching for gaps last start from inside the 2nd line, the gate is his ticket to capitalise.

WAVEDANCER (8) has been racing in good fashion in recent outings with 4 minors from his past 6 appearances. Hitting the line in nice order last start when within 2m of the winner MALIBU DREAM, he was not that far away the start prior when doing his share of work in the run. With a dash of luck, he is in the mix.

STUDLEIGH WILL (7) was sent forward from gate 5 last start to get outside the leader and race first over. Grinding away in holding on for the bronze, if he can settle against the pegs where he tends to get keen, he can certainly feature.

MISS LILY MAY (5) has been lightly raced and faces the starter for just the 3rd time in just on 10 weeks. Finishing best from the 2nd line last start, the wide gate hurts here but she cannot be overlooked.

SELECTIONS: GHOST GUM (1), WAVEDANCER (8), STUDLEIGH WILL (7), MISS LILY MAY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GHOST GUM (1) to win

RACE FIVE

BARBOO (2)
landed gate 9 last start and was making a wide and searching run to get into the action last time out when finishing in 3rd behind ROCKNROLL DA GAMA. Repelled for the front after an early challenge here 2 starts back, he can look to take control here and if able to pinch a panel or two in front, looks to get his chance.

VOODOO FELLA (6) has no favours from the wide gate, but he might just find this a shade or 2 easier than what he has been facing in recent outings. Chasing home to be 6m from the winner MAYWYNS JEWEL last start, his run the start prior behind RANIERI was sound after being buried. Limiting the burn in working into the fight can see him throw it down.

OUR LITTLE GIRL (1) held the pocket trail from this gate 2 runs back and with the easy tow in behind the speed was able to hold on for the bronze. With a similar trip she can chime in once again.

HESLUVABLE (3) held the trail from gate 1 here 2 starts back when running in behind to grab the bronze behind SIGNOR JUJON. Early position looks key to his chances to find the podium.

SELECTIONS: BARBOO (2), VOODOO FELLA (6), OUR LITTLE GIRL (1), HESLUVABLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BARBOO (2) to win

RACE SIX

MANOFLISA (8)
eased from gate 4 to secure position last start and was hitting the line nicely from back in the pack, finishing 7m from the winner BERTILS FIREFOX. Holding on for the bronze here 3 starts back after opting for the trail after initially finding the front, he should get the right cart through to take his chances here.

BERTILS FIREFOX (2) showed early hustle from this alley last start to take control and once in front was able to keep the challengers chasing in scoring victory by 2m. Grabbed the start prior over the AP mile, he can fire the early shots again here and will be gripping on in the stretch.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (6) was sent forward from gate 6 here 2 starts back and rolling the sleeves was grinding away when 8m in arrears of the winner REGALIA. Wide off the track from 2nd line last start, he can be thereabouts again here.

MANY DELIGHTS (7) was doing it the tough way last start when holding on for 4th behind the comfortable winner ELZBOY. With an easier trip here, he can be searching for the gaps to grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: MANOFLISA (8), BERTILS FIREFOX (2), FORTYFIVE ROCK (6), MANY DELIGHTS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MANOFLISA (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

MUSTANG DUDE (3)
angled to the pegs from the 2nd line 2 starts back and with the pace controlled out in front, nothing really made an impact from the rear. Spearing out from this same gate last start, he was able to get an easy time before a saloon passage allowed MAYWYNS HONEY through to knock him off. He can see it out here.

TICK OF THE CLOCK (4) tried to take them all the way from gate 1 last start and was leading much of the trip until GROOVY MISS ANNIE arrived to nab the win. Beaten by gate 5 the start prior, the wider gate will make it a little tricky but of securing position cheaply he can challenge.

HARRY CROFT (5) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon locked away and searching for the gaps when 7m in arrears of the winner. Fitter for the run after returning from a let-up, he hit the board his previous 6 in succession.

ITS YOU NOT ME (1) started from this alley last time and sat in the trail as ELZBOY powered away to a big victory. With a similar trip he can look for a similar result.

SELECTIONS: MUSTANG DUDE (3), TICK OF THE CLOCK (4), HARRY CROFT (5), ITS YOU NOT ME (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MUSTANG DUDE (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

Weighing up here fitness against fresh form of the main hopes where OCTOBER RACKETEER (7) returns from a spell and draws to get an easy trip 1st up. Last seen back in November when leading them up over the 2040m, he was gunned down by SUPERBON in the closing stages. Runner-up the start prior, he will need some factors in his favour but if luck in on his side, he can arrive.

HURRIKANE HOUR (5) has the wide gate but brings the fitness edge over his main rivals and can look to exploit that here. Forced to roll the sleeves to race tough last, he was grinding it out when runner-up to LILLIES. Only 2m in arrears in a stronger race the start prior, he can throw it down to take his shot.

WANNAGO (8) is another returning with her last start coming in the APG G1 event back in August when down the line behind HES SWEET. A winner and a runner-up in 3 outings here at Redcliffe, she can feature.

SUPERBON (6) returns from a spell after a 3-start prep when last in work. A winner 1st up in that campaign, they were a bit too slick for him at the next 2. The gate is a stinger, but he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OCTOBER RACKETEER (7), HURRIKANE HOUR (5), WANNAGO (8), SUPERBON (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

GOOD LUCK CHARM (1)
was beaten by gate 6 last start and did not have the best run-in transit when down the line behind the dominant winner OCEEAN LANE. Closing in nice order the start prior over the 2040m, she used the passing lane when 3rd here 3 starts back. This looks an ideal opportunity to open the account.

GO AWAY (3) should appreciate moving a little closer to the pegs after landing wide gates at her past 4 in succession. Retreating in the early stages last start, she was sound to the line when mid-field and if limiting the early burn, this looks a winnable maiden to grab.

ASHTON RIVER (8) was working home in good order last start when wide off the track as BERTILS WATCH ME was able to claim the prize. Only 3m from SHEREACTS over the 2040m the start prior, he can chime in here.

GAME KEEPER (9) has no favours from this alley but should be taking good benefit from his latest outing when 1st up from a break. Locked away from gate 1 in the early stages, he is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: GOOD LUCK CHARM (1), GO AWAY (3), ASHTON RIVER (8), GAME KEEPER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GOOD LUCK CHARM (1) to win
