RACE TWO

MACH TORQUE (4) has faced the starter 3 times this prep and been showing steady improvement at each outing. 2 starts back she struck trouble in the run but still finished well to be 4m from the winner. Finding the line well last start from a2nd line gate, she will relish the return to the front line here.

MAJORESS JUJON (2)
started from gate 5 last start and was snagged back early to find position and was then too far back to get into the contest. That followed a tough run where she did plenty of work and with the early speed to be 1st to the pegs she will then have options and can feature.

GIGANTIC JASPER (6) broke his maiden last start in good style when going straight to the front from gate 1 and running even panels throughout to score an easy 9m victory. The gate makes it a little tricky but he can’t be ignored.

SELECTIONS: MACH TORQUE (4), MAJORESS JUJON (2), GIGANTIC JASPER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH TORQUE (4) to win

RACE THREE

CHERRYS THE BEST (4) returned for her 3YO term in fine style with a tough win from the breeze with the 2nd and 3rd placed horse having both subsequently won races. 3rd in a Gold Pot heat as a red figure fav, her run in the final had merit behind the smart looking PARAVANI. She looks too strong here.

ITZ MAJOR LOOK (5) is honing in on a win and has now been runner-up at his past 2 starts over the 1780m trip here at Redcliffe. Working home well from a 2nd line gate last start the winner came up the passing lane to deny him the prize. The gate hurts but with the small field he can be working home in the latter stages.

OUR ULTIMATE LUCY (2) makes her Qld debut for Darrel Graham and will also be resuming to start her 3YO season. Given 2 trials to prepare, the latest was a tidy enough performance to suggest she has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: CHERRYS THE BEST (4), ITZ MAJOR LOOK (5), OUR ULTIMATE LUCY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CHERRYS THE BEST (4) to win

RACE FOUR

SISTER FEELGOOD (3)
did some early work last start to find position and then chased gamely to grab the silver behind GIGANTIC JASPER. Not suited the start prior from gate 6 she has the early speed to take an early shot here and if finding the pegs will go a long way to claiming the prize in this.

THANKHEAVENFORGIRLS (10) started from the ace last start and from the pocket trail was chasing hard when 2to RAINBOW ATOMIC. That followed a tough run from gate 6 in a much tougher race over the AP mile and despite the 2nd line gate can work home strongly in this to challenge.

ACE MONTANA (5) is slowly starting to put it together and will appreciate this line-up more than his last start in a Gold Pot heat. Strong from the breeze when 2nd here 2 starts back he can feature.

BETTERTHAN TORQUE (1) lost the driver last start when 2nd up from a break after featuring in a stable change. With the benefit of the good alley she can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SISTER FEELGOOD (3), THANKHEAVENFORGIRLS (10), ACE MONTANA (5), BETTERTHAN TORQUE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

WAVEDANCER (1) was a winner here 5 starts back when hitting the line strongly from back in the pack to score. He hasn’t had much luck from barriers in recent starts but ss been charging home in the latter stages of his races including last start when 6m from the winner. With the options he can finish best.

CONCENTRATION (5) settled in the 1x1 last start over the AP 2138m and was hitting the line strongly when under 2m from the winner. Unable to find position the start prior he was luckless in the run from this gate. Finding a position early he can throw down the challenge in an open race.

OHOKA COOOPER (9) found the line nicely over the 2138m 2 starts back to grab the bronze behind STEVIE DEE. He struggled to work into the contest last start and despite being winless here on the triangle, will be better suited.

GOTTA GO RALPHIE (3) will take further benefit from his last run when 2nd up from a break. Working home wide off the track he arrived to claim a tidy win and from the good alley is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WAVEDANCER (1), CONCENTRATION (5), OHOKA COOOPER (9), GOTTA GO RALPHIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WAVEDANCER (1) to win

RACE SIX

IM FREE FALLING (9)
has been in the money at his past 8 starts in succession with 2 of those being victories here on the triangle. Last start he was after a hat-trick when 4m from the winner and could have been closer if seeing space earlier. With a strong sprint, look for him finishing strongly.

BIG BEAT (10) raced in the pocket trail last start and chased hard when 8m from the in-form and smart performer LINCOLN ROAD. He found his race here 2 starts back and sent to the breeze from the 2nd line was too strong to claim a big win. With the right run in transit he can go close.

WEE JIMMY (1) hit the line in good order here 3 starts back to grab the silver when only beaten a half-head. His next 2 starts have been sound including a 4th to MORROCH BAY. The gate is a big plus.

RUHTREBO (7) has started 3 times this campaign and while he is yet to show the level he reached at 3YO, it might just be around the corner. With a soft trip he can be probing for gaps and finish strongly.

SELECTIONS: IM FREE FALLING (9), BIG BEAT (10), WEE JIMMY (1), RUHTREBO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: IM FREE FALLING (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

JENUFLECTION (7) made the most of the pocket trail start and with the cosy trip was saved for 1 sprint and when given open road cruised home to a 20m victory. Her previous 2 starts were handy efforts and from the gate she looks set to get the perfect trip to take the closing shot.

ELMS CREEK (5) started from gate 6 here over the sprint trip 2 starts back and after being taken back early was strong to the line wide off the track to claim a 9m victory. Too far back from a tough gate at AP last start and trying to make ground against the tempo, he can look to atone in this line-up.

VELOCE BELLA (1) faced a tough gate last start yet was sent to the post as fav. Sent to the breeze she was working hard but couldn’t see it out when 2m from the winner. From the gate she can go very close.

JAKES WAY (8) makes his Qld debut for Ben Battle and arrives a last start Dubbo winner. He took them all the way in that race and with a tricky gate at his 1st look at the triangle will stay under notice.

SELECTIONS: JENUFLECTION (7), ELMS CREEK (5), VELOCE BELLA (1), JAKES WAY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-8

RACE EIGHT

DESTINY WARRIOR (2)
looked to take them all the way last start over the sprint trip and after setting a solid tempo with even panels in front, couldn’t last when claiming a 3m 2nd. Too far back in his 3 Qld starts prior, he should find a handy position in transit here and can look to open his Qld account.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8) was a tough winner over this trip 3 starts back when facing the breeze from gate 2 and proving too strong in hanging on for a half-neck margin. Falling 1.5m short last start again when doing the hard work, he will be in for the fight here and can throw down the challenge.

BOB GAGE (1) was a winner here 4 starts back over the 2040m trip when working the front and taking control to score. Beaten by the barriers his past 3 starts, he will be sharper from the ace gate.

WILLSINTOWN (6) has been freshened since his last appearance when finishing best from gate 10 to claim a tidy win. He took them all the way here 3 starts back and 1st up from a freshen here will be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: DESTINY WARRIOR (2), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8), BOB GAGE (1), WILLSINTOWN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DESTINY WARRIOR (2) to win

RACE NINE

STEVIE DEE (1)
was in search of the hat-trick last start when taking on a mares qualifier. Sent forward from the 2nd line she did her share of early work and couldn’t go with them when the sprint went on. That was off the back of wins over the AP 2138m and mile trips and with the speed to lead them up will be gripping on.

RUATO BAY (7) did the heavy lifting from the breeze last start over the 2280m trip and was in for the fight when 6m from the winner to claim the bronze. Only 5m from ONE MANS PASS at AP 2 starts back, he will be glued to the back of the 1 here and coiled to take the snipers shot.

DARBY BRIGHTS (10) has been freshened since her last outing when taking on a handy mares line-up from a tough gate. Too far back in a slick tempo she couldn’t get into the contest. That followed a strong win over the sprint trip and despite the gate she has claims.

MACH SAM (2) returns from a break and lands his 1st front line gate in some time. Finishing best to arrive for the prize here 3 starts back over the 2280m trip, he will be right in the fight from the gate.

SELECTIONS: STEVIE DEE (1), RUATO BAY (7), DARBY BRIGHTS (10), MACH SAM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RUATO BAY (7) each-way
