Racing Queensland advises that Race 5 at Albion Park on Thursday 24 January 2019, the Queensland Short Course Final, was declared a ‘no race’ by QRIC stewards due to a failure of the lure.
In accordance with the Abandoned Race Meetings Policy, Racing Queensland advises that it has collaborated with the Brisbane Racing Greyhound Club and QRIC to reschedule the Queensland Short Course Final with the same box draw and prizemoney at Albion Park on Thursday 31 January 2019.
Trainers will be compensated $80 per starter from the abandoned race last night and will keep the $50 appearance fee.
QRIC Stewards have advised that greyhounds can be scratched from the final without penalty if the rescheduled race time is not suitable. Further to this, any greyhound currently engaged may be scratched without penalty in order to take their place in the final on Thursday.
