RACE TWO

LOYOLA TRIOS (1) was given a torrid trip from the breeze last start and could not cope over the concluding stages when the white flag was hoisted. Only 8m away the start prior behind HARPAGUS, he can opt for the economical trip here and left with the closing shot can make it a winning one.

VENUS JUJON (4) was a winner from the 2nd line here 2 runs back when finishing over the top of them at the 2040m trip to claim a smart win. From gate 8 last start, she was settled in the 1x1 trail and held on for the bronze when 4m in arrears of ALE ALE KAI. Back to the front line aids her hopes.

HIGHVIEW FREDDY (2) eased from gate 4 to secure position last start and was making some nice ground in the latter stages to grab the bronze behind CONVAIR HUSTLER. Forced to work hard in the run the start prior, he can look to press forward here to feature.

GANGBUSTER (7) started from this gate last start when pinned down and searching for a way clear when mid-field behind CONVAIR HUSTLER. Closing strongly the start prior, he will be probing once again.

SELECTIONS: LOYOLA TRIOS (1), VENUS JUJON (4), HIGHVIEW FREDDY (2), GANGBUSTER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE THREE

BLOOD MONEY (4)
was beaten by a tough gate at his 1st look in Qld when tackling the AP mil last start. Easing to find position, he was just too far back to work into the contest as KOTARE ELITE arrived off a solid tempo. A winner at 3 successive starts prior to heading North, he looks better placed here to take the QBred bonus back to Bathurst.

JOVIAL JULIE (2) eased from gate 4 to secure position last start and was trying to make an impression as HUNTAWAY arrived up the passing lane to score. 2nd line gates were her nemesis at her 2 previous starts and with the good alley here can look to take full advantage in making her challenge.

ASCALABUS (8) makes his Aus debut here for Tayla Gillespie and will be 1st up in over 12 months. A winner on NZ Cup day back in 2019, he has had a lone trial here in Qld and will take benefit from the outing.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (3) was away from inside the 2nd line in the early stages to find position and then chased gamely for the silver behind ROUSEY. The front line aids his chances, and he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BLOOD MONEY (4), JOVIAL JULIE (2), ASCALABUS (8), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BLOOD MONEY (4) to win

RACE FOUR

ARTISTIC SAINT (9) held the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line and with the cosy trip was out and chasing when runner-up to MONTANA FLASH. Eased from gate 6 over the AP mile the start prior, it had followed a tough run from the same gate. With some front-line heat, he can arrive.

SIGNOR JUJON (7) will be further tightened from his latest offering when 2nd up from a break. Starting from gate 8 over the 1780m trip, he was trying to make a closing play when 8m in arrears of the winner. He will need a slice of luck from this alley, but if the gaps arrive, he can make his play.

BARBOO (2) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and probing for the openings when down the line behind WESTERN SHOWGIRL. Finally, back to a front-line gate can see him feature.

ROWDYS ACE (4) pressed ahead from this alley last start to have a look before keeping the leader honest and grafting away. A similar trip looks on the table here and he can be in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: ARTISTIC SAINT (9), SIGNOR JUJON (7), BARBOO (2), ROWDYS ACE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ARTISTIC SAINT (9) to win

RACE FIVE

STUDLEIGH WILL (1)
found the winning rains last start to end a win drought that extended back to April. Settling in the running line from gate 8 over this trip, he had too much power to call on in claiming a 4m victory. Racing tough here 3 starts back when 3rd, he can take control to make it rain again.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (7) eased from gate 5 last start and was just too far back in the pack to issue a challenge when 3.5m from the winner TILDALYN. A tough winner from the breeze here the start prior when easing away to claim a 10m margin, he will get the soft trip here to challenge late.

MISS LILY MAY (8) has been kept fresh since her last appearance when down the line behind DARBY BRIGHTS. A beaten fav the start prior when gunned down in the closing stages, she has podium claims.

MELTON LUCKY (2) has faced the starter on 3 occasions since returning from a spell, the latest when sent around the field from the 2nd line to get handy to the action. With an improved gate he can feature.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (1), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (7), MISS LILY MAY (8), MELTON LUCKY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE SIX

TODAYS HERO (5)
has been on a 12-month winless streak, but his recent performances are starting to indicate he is heading towards a victory. Despite the wide gate, he might just have found his conditions after 2nd line barriers have troubled him at his past 2. Grabbed late when leading here 3 starts back, if he can avoid the burn in getting forward, he might just pinch this.

ALL GOOD WALLY (8) was a winner here 5 runs back when taking control from gate 1 and taking them all the way to victory over the 1780m trip. Not that far away at his next start from a wide gate at The Creek, he was game in defeat when facing the breeze from gate 6 here last start. With the right trip he can make a play.

DARBY BRIGHTS (9) was warming up to a victory after successive placings including a tough effort from the breeze for 2nd. Franking that with an all the way win last start, she is in form and has claims.

DOOLITTLE DANDY (1) was sent for a break after his last start from this alley back in November when buried 3 back and unable to go with them late. With the soft trip fresh, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: TODAYS HERO (5), ALL GOOD WALLY (8), DARBY BRIGHTS (9), DOOLITTLE DANDY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TODAYS HERO (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

ROCK THE HOUSE (9) had the hoof, the leg, he had the whole lot on the till with some luckless and eye-catching efforts of late. Capitalising last start with the perfect run in behind the leader, when the trigger was pulled, he had all the right moves to score an easy 7m victory. Back to The Triangle is a small query, but he can power home over the top.

ABBEY DIADEMA (2) has now had 3 runs back from a spell, the latest when retreating from gate 4 to secure position. From the 2nd line here the start prior, she was 6m from the winner, DUKE, when trying to offer a closing volley. With the improved gate, she has early options to make her challenge.

MISS CATALINA (8) secured the pocket trail from gate 1 last start but could not go with them when the speed went on. Runner-up at her previous 2 starts, she can be chiming in down the stretch.

DUKE (5) has no favours from this gate but with even luck in transit can chime into the action. Holding on for 3rd last time out, he arrived late to score here 3 starts back and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ROCK THE HOUSE (9), ABBEY DIADEMA (2), MISS CATALINA (8), DUKE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK THE HOUSE (9) to win
