RACE TWO

THE IDES OF MARCH (9) didn’t fire a shot last start when resuming and despite being well supported was a long way from the winner. His last run prior to a spell was in the strong Carousel Final at Menangle Prepared to forgive the run and if back to his best he should be too classy for this line-up.

THE AMERICAN DREAM (4) will be better suited in this type of race and from the gate can get closer than he has been in recent starts to get into the contest. 2 starts back he was snagged back and then couldn’t get into it behind MARK OF INTEGRITY.

SUBTLE ADVICE (5) ran a nice race here 2 starts back behind the big winner SLICE OF HEAVEN over the 2138m and then last start was buried from gate 1. This looks a suitable assignment and he is right in the fight.

LETHAL PROMISE (7) has been in the money at his past 5 with a win 4 starts back when finding the right race and proving too strong. He gets no favours from the gate but can inject early and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: THE IDES OF MARCH (9), THE AMERICAN DREAM (4), SUBTLE ADVICE (5), LETHAL PROMISE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE IDES OF MARCH (9) to win

RACE THREE

SLIPPERY JADE (4) looked to take them all the way last start over the mile and ran a slick opening panel that left her with not much to finish and she just faded the closing stages to go under 9m. Her previous 3 were off the 2nd line and what looks a tricky contest she can sneak away in this line-up.

ROCKNROLL DUDE (9) was taken back from gate 5 last start and then was too far back to get into the fight over the 2138m trip. That followed a solid effort at Redcliffe when sent forward off the 2nd line and working hard in the run. With even luck in transit he can look to throw down a challenge.

CHANGEOVERME (7) was snagged back last start and ended up a long way off the pace that was solid up front set by TOM ME GUN. She has no favours from the gate but can be an improver in this.

CALL ME YOURS (6) likes this trip and with the right cover and cart into the contest has some claims. She tracked home nicely from the 2nd line last start and 5 back in a mares qualifier was good late.

SELECTIONS: SLIPPERY JADE (4), ROCKNROLL DUDE (9), CHANGEOVERME (7), CALL ME YOURS (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

VICTREE MIKAYLA (1)
was shuffled back along the pegs here last start and in a 28.1 closer from the front held her line to the wire. That race was taken by TELL THE LINESMAN and with this an easier assignment she looks to get every chance.

SAMMARI (5) will strip fitter following her latest run when 2nd up from a 12 month break. Both return runs have been at Redcliffe off 2nd line gates and with the return to the front line can look to settle closer to the speed and is in the mix.

REGAL ROCK (7) has the wide gate to overcome but isn’t far off landing one of these races when he lands a marble. He scored a big win in restricted company at Marburg on Sunday and has podium claims.

WILLSINTOWN (8) made the most of the pocket trail last start at Redcliffe and took the closing shot to score. This is harder but he will strip fitter and will get the cosy trip once again.

SELECTIONS: VICTREE MIKAYLA (1), SAMMARI (5), REGAL ROCK (7), WILLSINTOWN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: VICTREE MIKAYLA (1) to win

RACE FIVE

NOVENA ROSE (9) was in the pocket trail last start at Redcliffe but couldn’t quite get the leader and winner NERIO who set a strong tempo. Carted back to the tail the start prior, she can look to get a nice cart through and this is the right type of race for her to land the prize.

SNAKES N LADDERS (4) settled well back in the pack last start and was hitting the line in good style to be 7m from the winner. He only has the lone career victory but with the right position in the run he can throw down a closing challenge.

DIABOLO STAR (8) will need some luck to sight the gaps but with the gaps opening he can enjoy the cosy ride. Forget his last start when doing some work, the soft trip here suits.

THE FLOYD (7) has the wide gate but is on a huge class drop from what he has been meeting. His run was fair last start over the 2138m and a strong showing in this would be no surprise.

SELECTIONS: NOVENA ROSE (9), SNAKES N LADDERS (4), DIABOLO STAR (8), THE FLOYD (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-7-8-9

RACE SIX

DAENERYS STORMBORN (5)
tried to take them all the way last start at Redcliffe when nabbed right on the line by NO TRANSACTIONS That was her 2nd run back from a break and should take good benefit from the run. From the gate she can look to make the most of this line-up.

OLE SUN (12) was looking to work home into the contest last start off the 2nd line at Redcliffe when getting to mid-field.  His run off a 30m tape 2 starts back was a solid effort and with even tempo at the front can be working home late.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (3) made an error last start at Redcliffe that ended her chances. Her run when cutting the breeze from a 10m tape 2 starts back had merit and she can look to feature prominently.

GHENT (6) is starting to put it together and last start was hitting the line in good style to get within 3m of the winner ULTIMATE DAIQUIRI. If he can find position without being too far back he can challenge.

SELECTIONS: DAENERYS STORMBORN (5), OLE SUN (12), JUSTABITLIKEMUM (3), GHENT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DAENERYS STORMBORN (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

SPUD (9) started off gate 7 over the mobile mile here 2 starts back when sannged back early and did a good job to finish 9m from NEEDLE. Luckless last start when starting from the 30m tape he can look to secure a nice spot in the running line and be finishing over the top.

MISTER OZ (10) attacked the line strongly over the 2138m stand when off the 20m tape when only 4m from the winner LANSBURY. Last week over the 2040m mobile at Redcliffe he was sent forward to find the front and once in control secured an 8m victory. He can go close again here.

MATATOKI (12) makes his Qld debut and arrives with an impressive record. Stripping fitter after 2 runs back from a spell where he has placed in both and worked home from big handicaps he stays under notice in this.

TAIMATE SUCCESS (4) will be tightened following her return to the track last start following a spell. Starting fav she took the trail when 8m from MISTER OZ. Fitter she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SPUD (9), MISTER OZ (10), MATATOKI (12), TAIMATE SUCCESS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SPUD (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

MATRON JUJON (8)
will need a slice of luck to see open space but if able to find clean air in time can give this a big shake. A winner when able to lead throughout at Redcliffe over the 1780m 4 starts back, she was grabbed in the closing stages 2 back. Just needs to see space.

MODERNDAY FALCON (3) has been thereabouts in stronger line-ups and if settling handy to the speed will get his chance to feature. 6m from WASTE OF TIME last start he hit the line well behind the in-form MO JARNEY 3 starts back.

MINI MIRACLE (11) started from the 2nd line at Redcliffe last start and didn’t get the cleanest passage when looking to track home late. Not sure there is enough up-front tempo to give her a closing shot but she has podium plays.

LAZY BLAZE (10) pressed ahead and worked in the run when 5m from the winner. 2 starts back he set an even tempo in front and with the right cart into the contest is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: MATRON JUJON (8), MODERNDAY FALCON (3), MINI MIRACLE (11), LAZY BLAZE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

JUST WON MORE (6)
was last seen in the Redcliffe Sales final when spearing across from gate 5 to apply pressure and taking over in front. Running even panels he was no match for the talented REGULUS. That followed a stylish heat win and despite the wide gate looks to get his chance in this line-up.

MISS MIA (5) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts the latest when looking to lead all the way from gate 5. Setting a steady tempo she was run-down in the closing stages. Starting to put it together she is not far off a maiden breaking win.

HIPSTAR (9) has been freshened since his last appearance when 6m from SPECIAL RESERVE after doing some work in the early stages. He will need a slice of luck from the gate yet can be swooping home.

ALOT OF COST (8) has also been given a let-up following 2 career starts. Taking cover last start after finding the pegs they were too slick for him. With the cosy trip he can be an improver here.

SELECTIONS: JUST WON MORE (6), MISS MIA (5), HIPSTAR (9), ALOT OF COST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST WON MORE (6) to win
