RACE TWO

PALE BEAR BOO (10) gets back to Redcliffe where he has been superb this season and despite the 2nd line gate, he can capitalise on some front line tempo and look to work over the top. Not suited when locked away at Marburg last start, his 3rd to MISTER BLACKJACK 3 starts back was a tidy effort.

CALCAVADO (6) chalked up another minor placing last start in what has been an amazing run of consistency here on the triangle. Charging home late from the 2nd line he went within a half-head of landing the prize. That followed a strong all the way win and he will be giving a good sight again.

ROCKNROLL AMBER (2) returns from a spell and feature in a stable switch to line up for Jack Butler. Besieged by bad gates last prep, she can look to use her early speed here and stays under notice.

THE FRAME (3) will appreciate getting back to the 1780m trip after finding the 2040m just out of reach at his past 2. A strong winner from the breeze here 3 starts back, he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: PALE BEAR BOO (10), CALCAVADO (6), ROCKNROLL AMBER (2), THE FRAME (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PALE BEAR BOO (10) each-way

RACE THREE

ELZBOY (7) will need his share of luck from this gate but in a wide-open contest is worthy of consideration. He held on for 3rd here 2 starts back behind the big winner SLICE OF HEAVEN and his run 4 back had merit behind the smart 3YO’s ARK PATROL AND COREY WILLIAM. Just needs space.

SPLASH OF GOLD (6) has the wide gate to overcome but does have good early speed and can look to find a position in the early stages if needed. She was speared out from gate 5 over this trip to find the front 3 starts back and once in control was held on to claim a head victory. Can give this a shake.

IRISHTOWN BABE (8) should find this more to her liking after tricky gates at Tamworth in recent starts. Her efforts have still be sound to place in 3 of her past 5 and with the right run can feature.

BRONZE ECSTASY (4) couldn’t find position last start and was snagged back to try to get in. His run was fair at AP 2 starts back and if he can settle closer to the speed he is in with a shot in this field.

SELECTIONS: ELZBOY (7), SPLASH OF GOLD (6), IRISHTOWN BABE (8), BRONZE ECSTASY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (2)
has worked his way into some form and last start looked to take them all the way from gate 1 when only grabbed in the closing stages up the passing lane. That followed a Marburg win when leading all the way. He can look for the pegs here and gets his chance to take this.

SAND SAFARI (1) was only grabbed in the closing stages on the grass at Kilcoy and followed that with a run when wide off the track behind OUR EDUARDO DENARIO to grab 3rd. Forget her latest start when she was knocked over early and from the gate here she will get the perfect trip.

LATIN BEATS (7) tracked home nicely here 2 starts back to grab the bronze behind SPLASH OF GOLD. Not suited when working in the run last start she can follow the pegs for a cheap run here.

ARES (4) returned from a freshen here over the sprint trip last start and from the 2nd line hit the line in good order to be within 5m of the winner THE NXET STAR. Winless for a long time he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (2), SAND SAFARI (1), LATIN BEATS (7), ARES (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (2) to win

RACE FIVE

HOT DOGMA (4) pressed forward from the 2nd line to take control of the race from the breeze over the 1780m last week and scored a 3m victory. That was his 2nd up run with his return effort a tidy 2nd. From the gate he can get in the action early and will be looking to fight them off.

MINI MIRACLE (5) was 2nd up following a stable change last start and with a well-timed run arrived over the top to score a 3m victory. The gate makes it a little tricky but if able to find position without getting too far back she will be steaming home again.

MAJOR TRALEE (7) looked to have found his race here 2 starts back and from gate 1 tried to take them all the way when grabbed on the line. Too far back off the 2nd line last start he will be probing for an opening.

MATRON JUJON (9) was a winner here 3 starts back when leading all the way off gate 1 and holding off SHEZA GALVINATOR. Holding the front through a pedestrian opening 800m last start she couldn’t see it out but has claims in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: HOT DOGMA (4), MINI MIRACLE (5), MAJOR TRALEE (7), MATRON JUJON (9)
SUGGESTED BET: HOT DOGMA (4) to win

RACE SIX

MY MAGIC MERLIN (2)
was too strong from the breeze here 2 starts back when rolling forward and scoring in restricted company. His latest run was full of merit from the 6-hole when wide and working and he finds his race here where he can look to force to the front and take control.

SAMMARI (7) returns from a break and was last seen almost 12 months ago in the Fillies Triad Final when mid-field behind ARTS TREASURE. Given an easy pipe-opener in a trial, she will get the cosy trip here and look for the gaps in the closing stages.

VELVET MONKEY (3) will take benefit from his latest start when 1st-up off a long break he was angled to the pegs and followed home in good order. He can look for some cover here to chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: MY MAGIC MERLIN (2), SAMMARI (7), VELVET MONKEY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MY MAGIC MERLIN (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

HAWAIIAN SUN RISE (1) will be 2nd-up in Qld for Gary Gerrard following a disappointing effort at her first outing at Marburg. Sent back to the trials, she has come through that in good order and with the benefit of the ace gate can look for a cosy trip and show improvement in a very tricky contest.

WESTERN FALCON (2) has found himself buried in the run in recent starts and too far back to get into the action. Settling a long way back from gate 10 last time out, he can settle closer from this gate and look to get in the money.

NIGHT NINJA (3) went back from gate 6 last time and finding the pegs worked home nicely to be within 5m of the winner. That was his best return this prep and with the added fitness will get his chance in this line-up.

LARA BAY (10) has been plagued by poor barrier manners in recent starts and that has cost her all chance. If able to get it right she can find the podium in a race like this.

SELECTIONS: HAWAIIAN SUN RISE (1), WESTERN FALCON (2), NIGHT NINJA (3), LARA BAY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-2-3-10

RACE EIGHT

DOWN UNDER RORS (2)
found himself buried away from gate 1 last start under mobile conditions and just too far back to get into the contest. He closed out nicely from the running line here 2 starts back and was a strong winner from the tapes 3 back. From the 10m he can look to get in the action early.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (7) worked home strongly to grab the bronze behind SOUTHERN ALPS at AP over the 2138m 3 starts back. Forced to work at his next run his latest start can be forgotten when he refused to go. With 2 tidy trials to earn his ticket back to the races, he can throw down a challenge.

NO TRANSACTIONS (5) had an early look under mobile conditions last start before finding himself on the markers and looking for space. That followed a good win from 10m here over the 1780m and he is in the mix again.

OLE SUN (10) is racing in great touch this prep and has been in the money at 8 of 12 with 4 of those being wins. Not getting the cleanest run last start the effort was solid when 3rd and he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: DOWN UNDER RORS (2), NORTHERN MUSCLE (7), NO TRANSACTIONS (5), OLE SUN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWN UNDER RORS (2) to win

RACE NINE

THE DREAM MAKER (10)
has done things wrong at her 2 starts this prep with her latest run indicating she is starting to put it together. Working wide to the breeze she fought to the line when 4th to the passing lane winner VANTO HANOVER. Despite the 2nd line, she looks to get every chance here.

ART SECRET (4) fired out from gate 3 last start and tried to dictate terms but couldn’t quite see it out when stared down by HOT DOGMA. She can look for the pegs again here and taking control will give them something to chase.

MATT BELFORD (8) will strip fitter from his 1st-up run when returning a tough effort from the breeze and getting within 6m of the winner. His run 2 back before going for a break was a top effort when 7m from the smart 3YO RED CHARMER and he is right in the fight.

COAST WARNING (7) will be probing for gaps here but with a cosy trip can look for the openings to offer late. 3rd here 2 starts back off inside runs he is some place hope.

SELECTIONS: THE DREAM MAKER (10), ART SECRET (4), MATT BELFORD (8), COAST WARNING (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-7-8-10
