A handful of connections could be leaving Queensland with a share in $120,000 UBET Grand Slam bonuses this weekend, as excitement continues to build for Saturday's $200,000 UBET Blacks A Fake meeting at Albion Park.

UBET's generous sponsorship of the Winter Carnival allowed Racing Queensland to offer up to $120,000 in bonuses, including;

  • $50,000 UBET Grand Slam Bonus  - Offered to the connections of any horses that can win both the Garrard’s Sunshine Sprint (July 14) and the UBET Blacks A Fake (July 21).
  • $15,000 UBET Slam Bonus – Available to the connections of any horse that can place in both the Blacks A Fake and Sunshine Sprint, or, win one and place in the other.
  • $20,000 Trainers’ Slam Bonus – Available to any trainer who wins two or more of the following feature races:
  • Queensland Derby
  • UBET Blacks A Fake
  • Queensland Oaks
  • Queensland Trotters Cup

Trainer Amanda Turnbull and the owners of Sunshine Sprint winner Tact Tate could be sharing in an addtional $50,000, if the gelding manages to win the $200,000 UBET Blacks A Fake on Saturday.

Tact Tate can still earn an additional $15,000 in bonuses if he can run a minor placing in the big feature. Ohoka Punter and Celestial Arden could also collect an extra $15,000 in bonuses if either wins or places in the Blacks A Fake.

Trainer Matt Craven is a live chance to win the $20,000 UBET Trainers' Bonus, after winning the G3 QLD Trotters Cup with Our Dreamlover.

He is likely to have Master Moonlite lining up in the QLD Derby, after he ran a slashing fourth in Saturday's South East Derby.
