RACE TWO

MATATOKI (7) started from a 20m tape last start when sent forward early and taking control he was able to keep the power on all the way, running home a nice closing 800m to take the win. His run 2 starts back from the front line was a strong run from the breeze to hold 3rd and this looks ideal.

SOUTHERN ALPS (8) was safely away 3 starts back and set an even tempo in front, when he was only collared in the closing stages with NORTHERN MUSCLE taking the win. He struck trouble at his next run and then wasn’t suited at Redcliffe last start. From the 10m he is right in this.

HELLBOUND (9) is still searching for a maiden breaking win from the tapes, with his best form coming from the mobile. Only 6m from JEDDY R YA READY 2 starts back, from 10m he is in the mix.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (4) was safely away last start before releasing MATATOKI and with the pocket trail finished 10m in arrears. With good early manners, she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: MATATOKI (7), SOUTHERN ALPS (8), HELLBOUND (9), JUSTABITLIKEMUM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MATATOKI (7) to win

RACE THREE

ITZ MY GENERATION (1) started fav from gate 7 here 2 starts back at his Qld debut and after settling in the 1x1 trail, couldn’t reel them in with the leader and winner running home a 27.5 closing panel. Again facing gate 7 last start, he had little luck over the 2138m. From gate 1 he looks hard to stop.

BELLA BALL TERROR (6) will take great benefit from his latest start when having his 1st start in almost 12 months. Snagged back from gate 6 he found the line strongly to be 3m from the winner STAR OF MONTANA in a Rising Stars heat. The wide gate hurts, but in the small field he can go close.

AUNTY BESSY (4) was away from the inside early last start and sent to the breeze. In for the fight she only faded in the closing stages to be 8m from the winner STUDLEIGH SONNY. She won’t be far away.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (7) closed out strongly from gate 10 here 2 starts back to grab the silver. She found the Redcliffe Oaks too tough last start but can be thereabouts in this.

SELECTIONS: ITZ MY GENERATION (1), BELLA BALL TERROR (6), AUNTY BESSY (4), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ITZ MY GENERATION (1) to win

RACE FOUR

BUNDABURRA (7)
was resuming from a spell on Friday when he was forced to do plenty of work 3 wide when the power was on up front and he faded in the closing stages. Fitter for that effort, he will appreciate a small field here and with the tempo on can look to power home over the top, similar to his win at the start prior to going for a spell.

HOLY CAMP CLIVE (6) made the most of the pocket trail last start and with the tempo sizzling in front, used the passing lane to arrive for a 3.5m victory. He hit the line strongly at Redcliffe 2 starts back when a 3m 2nd to CLARKEY and he will be charging home late again here.

GANGSTER BOY (3) was sent forward from gate 5 at Redcliffe last start over the 2280m trip and was working hard in the run when fading late. He set the tempo 2 starts back and will fight hard here.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (1) started from gate 6 last start and didn’t have the cleanest run in transit when just beyond mid-field behind CLARRY. With a cosy trip on offer, he will be probing for gaps late.

SELECTIONS: BUNDABURRA (7), HOLY CAMP CLIVE (6), GANGSTER BOY (3), SUBTLE DELIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BUNDABURRA (7) to win

RACE FIVE

TRUE STEPPER (9) started from gate 1 last start and was soon buried away in the run. Using the passing lane, when she saw open space the race was gone with REMEMBER ME NOW skipping clear in the stretch, yet she still attacked the line in good order to grab 2nd. In an open race she can arrive.

I FEEL ADORABLE (5) heads North for the visiting Alchin stable, making her 1st Qld appearance. Leading from gate 5 at her 2nd career start at Bathurst, it was a tidy effort when grabbed in the closing stages, the win going to the handy LADY EUPHEME. Only beaten a half-neck last start, she can go close.

RAMBUNCTIOUS (2) will take good benefit from his Qld debut when resuming from a spell. Settling in the pocket trail from gate 1, he was 10m from the winner. With early options he can feature.

FEARLESS FAITH (3) found the line in good order here 2 starts back when resuming from a spell to finish 5m from TORQUE ONETWOTHREE. Fitter again, she has exotic hopes here.

SELECTIONS: TRUE STEPPER (9), I FEEL ADORABLE (5), RAMBUNCTIOUS (2), FEARLESS FAITH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TRUE STEPPER (9) to win

RACE SIX

Resuming from a break last week and sent out a tens on fav, CHEESY FINGERS (7) made an error, got it all wrong and took no part in the race. 4th in the NSW Oaks at her last run prior to going for a break, she had trialled in good order in readiness for her return. She can bounce back here.

SHEISWATCHING (5) is in great touch at present and was shooting for a hat-trick last start when she was hindered by a tiring leader after racing in the pocket trail. Finding space and closing out nicely, she was able to be 3.5m from the winner. A mares qualifier winner 2 starts back, if the fav is vulnerable, she can capitalise.

ARCACHON (6) has been in nice touch this winter campaign and has come through the recent Rising Stars Series with a 3rd in the heat when tough from the breeze. Not far away in the final, back to her own sex is a plus.

THATS BETTOR (8) shoots for a hat-trick after successive Redcliffe wins, the latest when using the passing lane to arrive for the prize. This is harder but with a cosy run can be charging home.

SELECTIONS: CHEESY FINGERS (7), SHEISWATCHING (5), ARCACHON (6), THATS BETTOR (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

FIRE AND ICE (1) didn’t have much luck at Redcliffe 2 starts back when starting from gate 10 and forced to cover plenty of the track. Last start he was attacking the line strongly to get within a neck of the winner over the 2138m trip and with the good gate here, will get his chance to strike.

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (2) was a passing lane winner here 3 starts back, arriving on the line to grab RECIPE FOR DREAMING. In 2 runs since that win, he has been deserted by luck, striking trouble from gate 11 and then too far back last time over the 2138m. Back to the mile from this gate looks ideal.

SECRETAGENT TYCOON (10) resumes from a long break, having last raced at Melton back in March of 2017. A winner of 2 from just 9 starts, he caught the eye in a recent trial when charging home and stays under notice here.

JUSTA DALE (12) hit the line impressively here 2 starts back to get within a half-neck of SHEISWATCHING. Grabbing the silver last start, he is in good touch and will be steaming home again.

SELECTIONS: FIRE AND ICE (1), CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (2), SECRETAGENT TYCOON (10), JUSTA DALE (12)
SUGGESTED BET: FIRE AND ICE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

LIVING AGAIN (1)
has been luckless at his past 2 starts, landing gate 12 on successive occasions. Last start he was hitting the line in nice style to gab the bronze after settling a long way back. His run here 3 starts back was a great run when striking dead-ends all the way and from the gate he gets his chance.

TOMEARA (4) dis his share of early work over the 2138m here 2 starts back and fought on gamely to hold the silver. Again, rolling forward early last start, he just faded in the latter stages. He might need to work in the run, but back to the mile suits and from the gate he is right in the fight.

TOP TRIO (5) was buried away on the pegs here 2 starts back and with the benefit of a strong tempo in front was able to sail home to score. Not far away last time, he can be chiming in again here.

IDEAL WARRIOR (2) was strong from the breeze here 3 starts back when within 4m of the winner PARISIAN ROCKSTAR. His past 2 have been from tough gates and with the improved alley has claims here.

SELECTIONS: LIVING AGAIN (1), TOMEARA (4), TOP TRIO (5), IDEAL WARRIOR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING AGAIN (1) to win

RACE NINE

ELLE YEAH (4)
was sent forward from a 2nd line gate last start and was forced to work hard in the run and it was only the smart FAME ASSURED that was able to get past her. That followed a nice effort at her 1st run back in Qld this campaign, where she found the line nicely. With even luck she can take what looks an open contest.

LITTLE CHANGE (8) has been doing a great job from bad draws and will be hoping for some favours in the run here. Snagged back from gate 6 last start, he was attacking the line with venom when 5m from the winner CRUZ. A qualifying winner 2 starts back, he will be probing for openings.

LETSGOTOTHEHOP (1) was tough from the breeze here 2 starts back and was in for the fight to get within a flared nostril of the winner. With the benefit of the gate, he can be thereabouts in this.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (7) speared out early to find the front here last Tues and setting the tempo over the sprint trip, was only grabbed on the line by HUGHIE GREEN. Not far away on Sat night in a race dictated from the front, a strong effort would be no surprise.

SELECTIONS: ELLE YEAH (4), LITTLE CHANGE (8), LETSGOTOTHEHOP (1), INVINCIBLE LOXTON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ELLE YEAH (4) to win

RACE TEN

COOL SCOOTER (4)
resumes from a freshen and will step back to the mile after his past 4 appearances have been over the 2138m. Fighting hard from the breeze when 3rd to TENNYSON BROMAC after starting from gate 6, he opened the pipes in a recent trial and can challenge here.

KEY LARGO (5) is in good touch and last start from inside the 2nd line was hampered when the leader caved and caused those following on the pegs to restrain to find space. He charged home from back in the pack to grab the silver 2 starts back over the 2138m and back to the mile here is right in the fight.

OUR LTTLE DIGGER (10) made the most of the passing lane last start to sprint along the inside and arrive on the line. Fitter following 2 runs back from a break, with the right cart home he can be thereabouts.

THATS HOW WE ROLL (11) was a winner over the 2138m here 2 starts back when charging home to claim the win. His effort last start for 5th was strong and with even luck won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: COOL SCOOTER (4), KEY LARGO (5), OUR LTTLE DIGGER (10), THATS HOW WE ROLL (11)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-5-10-11
