RACE TWO

A strong mares race with plenty of these in good form. CHERRYS THE BEST (6) is having a great season and last start was beaten by a tough 2nd line gate yet was still within 5m of the winner TOMMY UNDER FIRE. Game in defeat in the mares Triad the start prior, the main dangers look drawn wider and she might just be able to capitalise.

WEEKS END (8) laid it down in the breeze last start at her 1st Qld appearance over the Redcliffe sprint trip. In a powerful performance, she set a new mares track record and ran a blistering last 800m traversing the triangle. Needing a slice of luck, she will be right in the fight if sighting track.

JUST DEAL IT (3) rolled forward last start to face the breeze over the 2138m and was in for the fight when 3m in arrears of victory. Luckless the start prior when motoring home, back to mares only is a big plus.

ETERNAL PROMISE (10) returns from a freshen and lines up back with the Shannon Price stable after her last start Triad victory. With 4 wins in her past 5 starts, look for her charging home, while WITH THE BAND (7) can feature despite a tough gate, MOREAU DRIVE (5) must be respected and INNOCENT CROCKER (1) can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: CHERRYS THE BEST (6), WEEKS END (8), JUST DEAL IT (3), ETERNAL PROMISE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CHERRYS THE BEST (6) to win

RACE THREE

MYMATEPOG (2)
started his Qld career with a stylish victory when taking them all the way over the 2138m and keeping the power on throughout, still ripped home in 27.4 to take the win. Spearing out from gate 6 to set the tempo last start, he faded late under the pressure. Back to the mile he can dictate.
SIR JULIAN (1) is a consistent performer and will get the options from this gate. Luckless last week at Redcliffe when buried away 3 back and searching for gaps, he was still only 4m in arrears of the winner. Closing nicely the start prior behind SPEECH IS SILVER, he is right in this from the gate.

THE CRUISE MISSILE (8) claimed a qualifier last start when taking them all the way over the mile. Grabbed in the closing stages the start prior, he is better suited in front, but will get a soft trip here.

EL GRAN SENOR (5) went to the pegs from gate 10 last start over the 2138m and was looking for a way clear with the peg-line hampered by a tiring leader. Back to the mile he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: MYMATEPOG (2), SIR JULIAN (1), THE CRUISE MISSILE (8), EL GRAN SENOR (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-1-8-5

RACE FOUR

HEZA BROMAC (1)
found his race last start when easing from gate 7 over the mile prior to attacking the line strongly wide off the track to take the prize. Not much had gone right in his previous couple of starts and with the confidence of the last start victory, has the options in an tricky qualifier.

ROGER THAT (2) was stuck trying to find position last start and when settling was a long way back in the pack and needing plenty of luck. Hitting the line in good order in some nice closing splits when only 3.5m in arrears of the winner, he sprinted sharply here 3 starts back to score over this trip and can repeat.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (6) held the pocket trail last start when 3m from the winner when trying to make a challenge. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior in a sizzling mile, he has podium claims in this.

OYSTER STRIDE (10) is probably better suited at  the mile, but he is racing in great touch and with the cart into the contest, this is not out of reach. Charging home last start, look for him late.

SELECTIONS: HEZA BROMAC (1), ROGER THAT (2), CONVAIR HUSTLER (6), OYSTER STRIDE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

LOVE MY SISTER (7)
has the wide gate to overcome, yet she slots into this qualifier nicely under the conditions. A smart winner over the Menangle mile 2 starts back in a heat, she was down the line in the final as PITCH PERFECT blasted home in a sub 1.50 win. The daughter of Fluer De Lil can score in her 1st look at The Creek.

HUGHIES SISTER (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon angled away from the markers into the running line. Given her cues, she closed in good order over the 2138m to take a smart win, franking her effort the start prior behind HAVING THE FAITH. The gate is a big plus here.

CORSINI (6) made the most of the prefect trip in the pocket trail last start, making the closing shot up the passing lane a winning one. Forced to race tough the start prior, she can be in the mix here.

KOTARE ELITE (2) was out in front and forced to cut a sizzling 1780m at Redcliffe last start, fading in the closing stages under the pressure. Placed her previous 7 in succession, she will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: LOVE MY SISTER (7), HUGHIES SISTER (1), CORSINI (6), KOTARE ELITE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LOVE MY SISTER (7) to win

RACE SIX

WITH AUTHORITY (3) has been winless for some time but his efforts in recent starts have been encouraging. Closing nicely for the silver behind JIGGLE AND JIVE 2 starts back, it had followed a similar effort behind WINKANDITSOVER. He might have just found the right conditions to prevail.

FEEL THE REIGN (2) found the running line from gate 10 last start and was trying to work into the race as FEELINGFORAMIRACLE took the prize. His run 3 starts back when working hard in the run was a sound effort and with the chance to fire the 1st shot from this gate can throw it down.

COMIGAL (1) hit the line in good order 2 starts back to grab the bronze behind DEMETER and followed that when retreating from gate 5 over the 2138m. From this gate she has claims.

PSYCHEDELIC (5) has been working home from rearward positions and looks set to have to repeat that here. Hitting the line nicely 3 starts back to grab the silver, look for him working home late.

SELECTIONS: WITH AUTHORITY (3), FEEL THE REIGN (2), COMIGAL (1), PSYCHEDELIC (5)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH AUTHORITY (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

OUR FRIEND (4) fired off the gate here on Tuesday, opening them up through a 27.7 1st split. With the foot to the floor all the way, a sub 28 3rd panel was the undoing and he was unable to fight them off. Beaten the start prior when forced to race tough, controlling it in front, he can bounce back.

ALI DOWNUNDER (3) made the most of the lack of a 2nd line last start when snagging in behind the leader from gate 2 and then using the passing lane to arrive for a head margin at the 2138m trip. Buried 3 back on the pegs 3 starts back, it was a sound effort and from the gate he can challenge.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (8) wasn’t suited last start at Marburg when unable to find position from gate 5 and forced to retreat prior to moving wide again. With an economical trip, he will be probing.

SLIPPERY JADE (1) was obliged to roll the sleeves and dig in for the tough stuff last start when wilting late behind NOTORIUS. Game the start prior in mares company, the gate is a big plus here.

SELECTIONS: OUR FRIEND (4), ALI DOWNUNDER (3), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (8), SLIPPERY JADE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR FRIEND (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

LUCKY UNLUCKY (6) has placed at his past 2 starts as he works back to fitness following 4 runs back this campaign. Holding on for the silver behind AT WEST POINT who carved out a slick mile 2 starts back, he was game in defeat from the seven-hole when only 3m in arrears after working hard in the breeze. Despite the gate, he looks well-placed in this.

MISTER BLACKJACK (9) was back in the pack last start when the closing speed up front made it tough for the chasers to make an impact. The start prior he struck trouble which ended his race not long after it started, while 3 back he closed strongly at Redcliffe. With the right trip, he can ask some questions.

MISTER DIAMOND (5) eased from gate 7 last start over the 2138m and was attacking the line strongly to get within 6m of the winner GOOD AS IT GETS. Only 6m away the start prior, he can feature.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (2) was taken back from gate 6 at Redcliffe last start and was too far back as the leader ran home some slick closing panels. Settling closer from this gate, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY UNLUCKY (6), MISTER BLACKJACK (9), MISTER DIAMOND (5), GRIZZLY MONTANA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LUCKY UNLUCKY (6) to win

RACE NINE

SPEECH IS SILVER (9) continued his march through the grades last start over the 2138m with another awe-inspiring performance. Looking to be in all sorts of bother from the pocket trail as the leader wilted on the home turn, he somehow found a way to sprint lane to score. Watch him fly!

LENNY THE LEGEND (1) will be further tightened from his latest performance when 2nd up from 16 months on the sidelines. Charging home 1st up, he was again hitting the line with gusto last week at Redcliffe in finishing within 5m of the winner. The gate is ideal for him here.

SOLE AMBITION (4) claimed the Redcliffe Gold Cup last week when arriving with a well-time sprint to claim the prize. He has been in good form with minors his previous 3 and firing the early shots will be in for the fight.

MAYWYNS BEST (6) is in career best form and has now been in the quinella at his past 6 in succession. Finding the front from gate 5 here on Tues, he led them deep into the stretch when 1m in arrears and can podium again.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (9), LENNY THE LEGEND (1), SOLE AMBITION (4), MAYWYNS BEST (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 9 / 1-4-6-8

RACE TEN

B MAC C (5) was heavily supported here on Tuesday from gate 1 at the mile when looking to take them all the way. Gunned down to be 2m in arrears of the star filly PELOSI, it made it successive weeks he had placed to her. If he can limit the early burn, look for him charging home which might be the winning play.

LIFES A JUNGLE (1) couldn’t find position from gate 3 at Redcliffe last start and was forced to retreat and was soon buried a long way back. It wasn’t the smoothest trip in finishing 9m from the winner which had followed a 2nd to ROLL WITH LACHLAN. With the early options, he can challenge.

ROLL ONE OVER (8) makes his Qld debut for the Cross team and will be relying on some luck from this gate. Forced to work last start over the Menangle mile when down the line, he can feature here.

MOHS EM DOWN (3) resumes from a break and steps out in Qld for the 1st time for the visiting Jarrod Alchin barn. Grabbed in the closing strides at his last start by the on-the-rise WOLF STRIDE, he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: B MAC C (5), LIFES A JUNGLE (1), ROLL ONE OVER (8), MOHS EM DOWN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: B MAC C (5) to win

RACE ELEVEN

Not often you have to wait until the get-out for the best in the business to strut their stuff, however that is what we face here with the reigning HOTY COLT THIRTY ONE (1) looking to have a good hold on this contest. Racing tough prior to cutting back to the passing lane and making the closing shot a winner last time out, it had followed a tough 2nd to MAJOR CAM. He might need to hustle early but can dictate thereafter.

MAJOR CAM (5) didn’t have much go his way last start and when the pace slackened he went to make a move, but with COLT THIRTY ONE going in front of him, was forced to hold fire at the rear and was then just too far back against the tempo. A winner 2 starts back via the passing lane, he can challenge.

LILAC FLASH (2) returns after 12 months on the sidelines and has been to the trials 3 times to open the pipes for this assignment. Last seen in the 2019 Redcliffe Cup, he can chime in late 1st up.

JUSTALITTLE TORQUE (8) resumes from a spell and will be 1st up since a last start Menangle win in February. With 2 trials to prepare, she looks set for a perfect trip 1st up and can be taking inside runs.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (1), MAJOR CAM (5), LILAC FLASH (2), JUSTALITTLE TORQUE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
