RACE TWO

FAST TRACKER (8) has been to the races on 7 occasions looking for the elusive maiden victory but just hasn’t had things go his way. Angled to the pegs last start from a 2nd line gate, he was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages when 5m from the winner. He can open the account here.

NONE GRATER (1) will take some benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a break. Eased from gate 6 to find position, he was settled a long way back in the pack and then didn’t see the space when needed to be only 6m in arrears. Only a half-head away 1st up, he can capitalise.

LILLIES (4) has been in the money at 4 of her 6 starts, the latest a smart effort when 2m from the winner MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA. Not far away when the conditions suit, she can feature here.

STOKER ACE (7) has placed in all 4 career starts early in the season and will return from a break, put away after a tough run here back in March. Beaten a flared nostril 2 starts back, he has claims 1st up.

SELECTIONS: FAST TRACKER (8), NONE GRATER (1), LILLIES (4), STOKER ACE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FAST TRACKER (8) to win

RACE THREE

This looms as a tough contest to pull apart with the 2138m sure to sort some of these out. Shooting for a hat-trick of victories, WESTERN SHOWGIRL (3) looks to have put it together and will line-up for her 1st look at the AP 2138m. Attacking the line from a long way back to arrive in nice style at Marburg last start, she can land the threepeat.

BLUE SHARD (9) is knocking on the door, having placed at his past 6 in succession. Looking to lead all the way 2 starts back from the ace, he was nabbed right on the wire by the subsequent winner TINKA TERROR. Only 3m from the winner last start, he can be chiming in late again to challenge.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (8) started from gate 10 last start over the mile and was closing out in nice fashion when within 2m of the winner. With an economical trip, he will be probing for openings.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (10) eased from gate 5 last start over this trip to find the pegs and look for the short-cuts home. Not far away at his past 2 starts, with even luck he is not out of this.

SELECTIONS: WESTERN SHOWGIRL (3), BLUE SHARD (9), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (8), THE RAGNBONE MAN (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (3)
is a model of consistency that is knocking on the door of victory, she just needs to use the key to open the way. Runner-up to the flying GARLAND GREENE last start, she was hitting the line nicely the start prior when 3m from MUSCULUS. This looks her chance to strike.

MUSCULUS (9) was a winner from the front tape over this trip 2 starts back when finishing over the top to claim a smart win. Taking on the open class performers last start, he was locked away on the pegs and was working home nicely in the closing stages. Back to this grade, he can challenge.

AVEROSS DON (1) will be stepping up in grade but has the benefit of the inside lane. Claiming victory over the 2647m last start, it followed a tidy effort when 9m from THE REAPER. He has claims again.

HAVANA MAGIC (4) made an early error at Redcliffe last start which ended her chances. Tough in the breeze the start prior against the open trotters, she can get forward to feature in this.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITLIKEMUM (3), MUSCULUS (9), AVEROSS DON (1), HAVANA MAGIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTABITLIKEMUM (3) to win

RACE FIVE

BETTATHANIDEAL (6)
backs-up from Sat night where he was snagged back in the early stages from gate 7 to find the pegs and look for the short-cuts. Threading a passage, he was attacking the line with power to be 6m from the winner MOHS EM DOWN. An easy winner here 2 starts back, he can arrive.

COPPICE (2) has been freshened since his last outing and lines-up for the Stephen Cini barn for the 1st time. Down the line at his past few starts at Tamworth, he was given a sharp hit-out at the trials in readiness for his 1st Qld appearance and from the gate stays under notice.

BLACKWHITEANDBLUE (3) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line over this trip when having his 1st outing in Qld last start. Using the passing lane to hold on for the silver, he can chime in again.

HOLY CAMP DILLON (8) completed a hat-trick of Bathurst victories last start when leading throughout from gate 1. Only lightly raced for NSW visitor John Boserio, he will be requiring a slice of luck from this alley, but can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: BETTATHANIDEAL (6), COPPICE (2), BLACKWHITEANDBLUE (3), HOLY CAMP DILLON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTATHANIDEAL (6) to win

RACE SIX

The Alchin brothers have plenty of firepower in their respective stables on their Winter sojourn with Rickie preparing the smart 3YO CRUNCH TIME (9). Returning from a spell, he was in nice form last campaign with a nice win 3 back at Menangle and his 3rd to the flying WOLF STRIDE 2 starts back full of merit. Tuned up with an impressive trial here last week, he can make immediate impact.

VIRGIL (1) will take some benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a freshen. Yet to really find his mojo since returning to Qld following a Southern Derby trail, he led them up here last start over the 2138m and was in front as they swung for home before fading in the stretch. He needs to fire.

GOOD AS IT GETS (7) has been in great touch and last start completed a hat-trick of victories at the 2138m trip. Pressing on to take control last start, he cruised home to a smart win and can feature despite the tough gate.

GINGER MICKY (5) will be 1st up since the 4YO Triad where he was battling to work into the contest from back in the pack after landing gate 12. A tough 3rd 2 starts back when wide off the track, he can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: CRUNCH TIME (9), VIRGIL (1), GOOD AS IT GETS (7), GINGER MICKY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

ESCALERA (3)
has a nice record here at The Creek with 6 wins and finishing as the runner-up on 2 further occasions. He lines up this time returning to Qld for Jarrod Alchin and will be 1st up from a break. With 2 trials to prepare for the return, the 2nd of those was behind the Sat night winner MOHS EM DOWN. With the good gate, he can return in style.

TACT BESS (10) was taken back from gate 5 here on Sat night to settle at the rear of the pack on the poles. With all the power on up front as ROLL WITH LACHLAN set down a sharp mile, she was looking for some space and her run was sound. Claiming a mares qualifier 3 starts back, she will be swooping late.

KOTIRO (4) took the pocket trail 2 starts back when using the passing lane to grab the bronze behind JIGGLE AND JIVE and met another top filly last start when doing her share of work behind PELOSI. From the gate she can feature.

HIPSTAR (8) worked away from the inside last start at Redcliffe when hitting the line strongly to get within a flared nostril of the winner. A passing lane winner 2 starts back, he will be further tightened following 3 runs back from a long break and will be probing for gaps here.

SELECTIONS: ESCALERA (3), TACT BESS (10), KOTIRO (4), HIPSTAR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TACT BESS (10) to place

RACE EIGHT

This race looks a tricky contest with the early speed hard to dissect. Leaning to INVINCIBLE LOXTON (8) who will be needing a slice of luck, yet he is racing in nice form. Luckless in the Redcliffe Cup last start when forced to retreat after trying to get forward prior to closing out in nice style, if the gap arrives, he can strike.

APHORISM (10) returns to Qld with the winter pilgrims from Bathurst and arrives in nice touch with 4 wins in his past 6 starts. Holding on for the silver at Menangle last start from the pocket trail, he scored a smart passing lane win by a head over HOLY CAMP CLIVE 2 starts back. Will be powering on.

SPARKLING CULLECT (5) was obliged to do it the tough way last start outside the leader over this trip and was able to dig in for the fight when 2m in arrears of the winner. Hitting the line in good order 2 starts back behind TENNYSON BROMAC, a win is not far away.

BODHI TREE (1) is currently on his longest streak without victory, yet his efforts have had merit without return of late. He might just have found the right conditions to look for an all the way win and a forward showing is within reach.

SELECTIONS: INVINCIBLE LOXTON (8), APHORISM (10), SPARKLING CULLECT (5), BODHI TREE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-8-10

RACE NINE

A RAINBOW DELIGHT (4) has been to the track 7 times in her 3YO season, with all starts in the same campaign that included progressing to the Final of he NSW Oaks. Put away after her last start when easing early and facing a task against the tempo, she has opened the pipe in a recent trial and can return with a bang.

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (2) makes his Qld debut and arrives with a close 2nd last start at Menangle when doing it the tough way and fighting hard to be 2.5m in arrears of the winner. Closing out in good order 2 starts back, he is yet to win in 5 attempts as a 3YO but can throw down the challenge.

SOHO TSUNAMI (10) has the tough gate to negotiate yet has shown ability in his 3 starts since arriving in Qld. Grabbed in the last strides after leading from gate 6 last time, he can feature again.

BETTOR SPORT (3) steps out in Qld for the 1st time, joining the Dixon stable. A winner 4 starts ago at Bathurst when using the passing lane to arrive, he has been forced to work in his 3 runs since. He stays under watch 1st up.

SELECTIONS: A RAINBOW DELIGHT (4), MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (2), SOHO TSUNAMI (10), BETTOR SPORT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: A RAINBOW DELIGHT (4) to win
