RACE TWO

LA SAFRON (3) was claimed last start at Tamworth and arrives in Qld for the Vicki Rasmussen stable. Facing some tough gates in recent starts around the tight North-West NSW circuit, his latest outing was a nice effort when 7m in arrears of the winner. With great early speed, he can open his account with victory.

BEEF CITY BLAZE  (8) held the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line and held on for the quinella when taking the last shot and finishing 1.5m from the leader and winner JONAH JONES. A sound effort at The Creek the start prior behind B MAC C, with the right trip, he can be swooping.

EARL JUJON (1) returns from a spell following a fading mid-field finish last start that saw him sent to the paddock. Opening the pipes in good order for the return in a recent trial, the gate suits 1st up.

INNER LIGHT (7) pressed forward from gate 3 last start and was obliged to race tough thereafter when only fading in the closing stages behind CONVAIR HUSTLER. With a cosy trip he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: LA SAFRON (3), BEEF CITY BLAZE (8), EARL JUJON (1), INNER LIGHT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LA SAFRON (3) to win

RACE THREE

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3) has returned for her 4YO term in superb order and looks to have found another suitable target. Returning when hitting the line with gusto from a long way back to grab the silver, she has since won her past 2 outings at the 2040m and then the 1780m. The threepeat is attainable in this line-up.

SHEZ GRINNIN (1) steps out in Qld for the 1st time for Scott Hewitt, arriving a 4-time winner in her career. Claiming victory at Penrith 4 starts back when leading throughout from gate 2 and comfortably recording a 10m winning margin, she has the options from the ace to challenge.

STONE CRACKER (7) has been to the track on 3 occasions here at the triangle since arriving in Qld and has landed the bronze om each occasion. Within 4m of JILLIBY GIZMO last start, he will be probing for the gaps to chime in.

GWENDALION (4) has met stronger opponents at her past 3 at AP. The latest of those outings saw her grab the silver when hitting the line nicely over the 2138m behind the smart BLACK HAWK JOE. The gate stings but with a perfect 3 for 3 record here at Redcliffe, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3), SHEZ GRINNIN (1), STONE CRACKER (7), GWENDALION (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3) to win

RACE FOUR

BETTOR SPORT (1)
has placed in 2 of his 3 starts since arriving in Qld, the latest when finding the pocket trail from the 2nd line and using the passing lane to get within 1.5m of the winner CAPITAIZE. Hustling hard to protect the poles, he will get his chance to dictate from this alley.

CAPITALIZE (8) found the conditions to take them all the way last start from gate 1 over the 1780m. With a steady opening 800m of the last mile, he was able to dial it up through the closing half, with a smart 28.5 closer to hold them out. Fitter again after 3 runs back from a long lay-off, he can challenge.

MOUNT HERCULES (7) was a comfortable winner here 3 starts back when finding the right conditions to lead throughout. Working home in good order last start for 2nd, he will be ready for the passing lane shot.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (4) was too strong for them here 3 starts back when finding the breeze and fighting them off for a smart win at the 1780m. Grabbed late after lighting the lamps last start, he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR SPORT (1) t, CAPITALIZE (8), MOUNT HERCULES (7), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR SPORT (1) to win

RACE FIVE

GOJOE (9) despite landing a sticky gate off the 2nd line he will strip fitter from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Finding the right contest 1st up, he finished over the top in claiming the prize. Sent out as fav here last start from this gate, he met plenty of traffic in grabbing 3rd. He can atone.

SIR JUJON (8) eased from gate 5 over the AP 2138m trip last start and settling back in the pack was able to hit the line in nice style in grabbing 3rd behind JIVE, with some nice panels in closing out. Forget his run here 2 starts back where he struck trouble, he can throw down the challenge.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) has been consistent in recent outings, placing at his past 4 in succession. Making a closing play last start to get within a neck of the winner, he can be thereabouts once again.

GIGANTIC JASPER (2) will take benefit from his latest appearance when returning from a spell. Easing into the pocket trail from gate 3, he held on for 2nd to CHROMOZONE. Firing the early shot, he will be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GOJOE (9), SIR JUJON (8), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3), GIGANTIC JASPER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: GOJOE (9) to win

RACE SIX

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5) settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 2 last time out over the 2040m when working home wide off the track to get within a half-head of the winner. Not too far from the winner ITS SUPER EASY over the AP mile 3 starts back, he can get forward and looks to have found the right race.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (7) will be requiring a rub of the green at some stage as she looks se to be buried in the run. Yet to miss a cheque in her 4 starts here on the triangle, she was 6m in arrears of the winner here last start after being sent out in red figures. If the gaps arrive, she can challenge.

TRENTLEIGH (2) set the tempo last start out in front but could not see it out when fading late. With the speed to fire off the gate, he can find the pegs and will be trying to resurrect a winning claim.

SCHNAPPSHOT (9) didn’t have much luck in finding a clear passage last start when not too far away from the winner. Stuck looking for position the start prior, she can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5), GETALOADATHISGIRL (7), TRENTLEIGH (2), SCHNAPPSHOT (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

ARMA AUGUSTUS (4) started from inside the 2nd line last start and didn’t see the space required when striking trouble and then looking for space that didn’t arrive until it was too late. Closing nicely to be within 5m of the winner, he doesn’t meet a field any stronger and will get his opportunity to capitalise.

CARIBBEAN ROCKET (3) has placed at his past 3 starts as he looks for his 1st Qld victory. Finding the front from this gate last time out over the 2040m, he was trying to fight them off when falling a neck shy of the victory. 6m from the winner DEVOUGED the start prior, he will be trying to fight them off.

IM SANDY BAY (6) was wide off the track when trying to launch a claim in the closing stages last time out and was solid to get within 5m of the winner MELTON LUCKY. She will be wide again.

FAIRACHDAINN (7) broke her maiden status last start when finding the pocket trail behind TALENT IN SPADES and then finishing with too much power to score. With an easy trip, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ARMA AUGUSTUS (4), CARIBBEAN ROCKET (3), IM SANDY BAY (6), FAIRACHDAINN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ARMA AUGUSTUS (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

TALENT IN SPADES (5) added another placing to her tally last start as she moves ever closer to a maiden breaking win. Placed in 4 of her past 5 outings, she was gunned down last time out after setting the tempo over the sprint trip. Limiting the early burn in securing position, she is in the mix in a wide-open maiden.

MAYWYNS HONEY (4) has mixed her form somewhat with her past 2 below her best. Banished to the trials after the latest outing, she earned the return in a sound effort. If able to replicate her effort of 4 starts back when only a half-head from victory, she can feature in this.

ELSIES GIRL (8) took on the 2040m trip last start where from gate 3 she was soon back on the pegs to find position as WESTERN SHOWGIRL cruised home to score. Back to maiden company with the right early trail, she has podium claims in this.

ALLY PINK (1) is a 4YO mare by Mr Feelgood on debut for Charlie Chiang. Returning a smart trial in readiness for this 1st outing, she has the gate to make an impression 1st up.

SELECTIONS: TALENT IN SPADES (5), MAYWYNS HONEY (4), ELSIES GIRL (8), ALLY PINK (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

CAPTAIN CRUSADER (8) had 4 early season outings where he opened his career with a victory on debut at Newcastle where he ripped home a smart 27 closing panel. Placed in a heat of the Bathurst Gold Crown, he was put away when 5m away in a consolation of that series. Tuning up with an impressive hit-out, he looks to have the class edge.

PORTSEA PRINCE (3) will take great benefit from his outing when 2nd up from a break. Returning with a 2nd line gate when 1st up, it was a sound return at his 2nd career start. Moving to the front-line last start, he worked to the front and was able to fight them off. The win confidence and added experience is a big plus.

LETS TORQUE A DEAL (4) takes her 1st look at Redcliffe after 3 career starts at Albion Park. Eased off the gate last start, she was closing in nice order to grab the bronze behind FAST TRACKER. She can feature.

UGOTTAWANTIT (2) is still searching for his 1st victory after 10 attempts. Buried in the run last start from inside the 2nd line, he can look to settle closer to the action to land in the money here.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN CRUSADER (8), PORTSEA PRINCE (3), LETS TORQUE A DEAL (4), UGOTTAWANTIT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 8 / 2-3-4
