DIVAS DELIGHT (2) will strip fitter from his run on Tues when 1st up off a break. Racing wide from a 2nd line gate he was good to the line when 9m from the winner KOTARE YORK. Approaching 2 years since his last victory he can look to take control here and will be gripping on in the closing stages.
GET IN THE GROOVE (12) made a mess of the start in the Redcliffe Cup and was never a factor. Her run 2 starts back when 2nd to SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE was a solid effort after working in the run and only beaten 3m. With the right cart home here she can be looking to finish best.
GASMONKEY (11) was locked away on the pegs here on Tues and chased hard to finish 3m from the winner KOTARE YORK. He has no favours from the gate but fitter from his latest run he won’t be far away.
YANKEE STRUTTER (8) will need his slice of luck from this alley as he looks set to be buried in the run. With the cosy trip though he might be able to sprint hard when the gaps arrive and is an inclusion in the exotics.
SELECTIONS: DIVAS DELIGHT (2), GET IN THE GROOVE (12), GASMONKEY (11), YANKEE STRUTTER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: UBET Jackpot F4 2-8-11-12
INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3) is airborne putting together wins at his past 5 in succession with the latest a strong effort when effectively 3-wide the trip over the mile. His wins have been versatile and at the 2138m and the 1660m and from the gate he can press forward and bully his way to victory.
TOP TRIO (4) made the most of the cosy trip last start from inside the 2nd line and when the passing lane arrived sprinted sharply to defeat MAKO BANNER. He was working home strongly from back in the pack 2 starts back and with the right run in transit here will be making the closing play.
OUR MILLWOOD MAIZIE (2) bounced back to winning form here on Tues when finishing over the top to score in a small field. That ended a frustrating winless run and with the confidence from that win can be swooping hard here.
HOLY CAMP CLIVE (9) put up a monstrous effort last week when 3-wide the last 1000m and carting the winner INVINCIBLE LOXTON into the fight and only went under a half-head. He will be throwing down a strong challenge again here.
SELECTIONS: INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3), TOP TRIO (4), OUR MILLWOOD MAIZIE (2), HOLY CAMP CLIVE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3) to win
OUR WALL STREET WOLF (5) is still looking for clear track from last week’s run where he ended up stuck in traffic and never had a shot at them when finishing 5m from the winner LIVING AGAIN. His run 3 starts back when 7m from CONVICTION was a top effort and he looks to get his chance to secure the fun coupons here.
OYSTER STRIDE (2) is in great touch and has secured victory in 6 of his past 10 starts. Finding the front from gate 2 last start he took them all the way to score a 2nd division band qualifier and was a winner of a similar race 3 starts back. He can light the lamps here and will be gripping on.
BIG BRUCE (8) hit the line in good style 2 starts back when claiming the silver behind ITS JUST KENNY and was again charging home last start behind LIVING AGAIN. With a cosy trip here he will be coiled and ready to strike.
LOCKTON LUCK (4) makes his Qld debut for Jack Butler and arrives after 3 runs back from a spell. A 1st up winner he had no luck behind CONVICTION 2nd up. This looks to suit and he will pay to follow.
SELECTIONS: OUR WALL STREET WOLF (5), OYSTER STRIDE (2), BIG BRUCE (8), LOCKTON LUCK (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR WALL STREET WOLF (5) to win
ALLELUIA (8) was strong from the breeze in scoring in a small mid-week FFA with a slick closing 27.2 panel to put them away. Dropped to 3 pegs in the Redcliffe Cup he followed the inside runs to finish a 6m 2nd to CONSTANTLLYSIDEWAYS. In great touch at present he can be coiled and ready to strike here.
FRANKIE ROCKS (7) put together successive wins at the mile from tough gates with the 2nd of those a strong effort from the breeze when sent forward from gate 6. Given a shot at the Bulli Cup at Menangle his run was a super effort when 2nd to MY FIELD MARSHALL in 1.49.3. Freshened since that run he is a big threat here.
GLENFERRIE HOOD (5) will strip fitter from his Redcliffe Cup run which was his 1st run back from a break. He will appreciate getting back to the mobile and to AP and will lay down a solid challenge.
CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (6) made the most of conditions in the Redcliffe Cup to get to the front and then take them all the way. Never far from the action he will be looking to work home in the closing stages here.
SELECTIONS: ALLELUIA (8), FRANKIE ROCKS (7), GLENFERRIE HOOD (5), CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 5-6-7-8
JOYS A BABE (2) will appreciate getting back to a mobile start after taking on the tapes at her past 3 starts. Only 7m from ALLELUIA after settling back in the run 5 starts back her next run had merit behind BETTORTHANSPECIAL. Fired off the gate here she can look to dictate and bounce back to winning form.
JESTER OH JESTER (1) has placed at his past 2 runs with the latest a passing lane 2nd to SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE and finding the line nicely in a strong closing sprint. His 3rd over the 2138m was a nice effort 2 starts back and with the soft trip will be ready to fire the last shot.
BODHI TREE (7) was looking for his 5th win in succession last start when he was brave in defeat after cutting the breeze outside SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE and only beaten 3m. The gate hurts but saved for one shot he can swoop hard.
SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE (6) was set alight early last week to find the front from gate 5 and once in control held on to score. He might not have the advantage of lighting the lamps here but can still feature as he searches for the hat-trick.
SELECTIONS: JOYS A BABE (2), JESTER OH JESTER (1), BODHI TREE (7), SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JOYS A BABE (2) to win
ROCKING (8) settled back in the pack from her 2nd line gate in a mares qualifier last week and with the solid early tempo came with the perfect run to finish over the top. That was a stylish Qld debut and fitter from that run and with a cosy trip from the gate she can look for the snipers shot to score.
CHERISH THE MOMENT (1) returned a tidy effort from gate 7 over the mile 3 starts back and went to the line without getting the chance to offer. Luckless at her next run when unable to find position she then scored a nice win in a mid-week event. Back to a good gate she gets every chance.
ZARAS DELIGHT (6) released from gate 1 last start and fought on well for the bronze behind the smart OUR UNCLE SAM. The wide gate hurts but with even luck in transit she can look to find the podium.
IOWNATURBO (10) took them all the way from gate 1 at Redcliffe last start over the 1780m and run home some tidy closing fractions. Only beaten a half-head 2 starts back, look for her steaming home.
SELECTIONS: ROCKING (8), CHERISH THE MOMENT (1), ZARAS DELIGHT (6), IOWNATURBO (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKING / CHERISH THE MOMENT (1/8) Quinella
POLISHED ROCKS (8) will need some factors to go his way in the run but with the cosy trip in this line-up can look to finish over the top to score. A tough 2nd from this gate 3 starts back when sent around to the breeze, his latest run behind TOP TRIO was a solid effort that sees him hard to stop here.
WITH AUTHORITY (5) finished best to score here over the mile 3 starts back and followed that with a 2nd to CASINO TOMMY after securing a cosy run. Luckless last start behind TOP TRIO, if he can settle handy without getting too far back he will be right in the fight.
MAJOR SCORE (2) worked home well for the 3rd to SAMS A CHAMP 4 starts back and then was good in the Flashing Red and followed that with a fast finishing win over the mile. With the right trip he will be thereabouts.
WRITTEN IN RED (4) finished best off running line cover here 3 starts back and has been too far back trying to make ground against the tempo his past 2. Settling closer here he can challenge.
SELECTIONS: POLISHED ROCKS (8), WITH AUTHORITY (5), MAJOR SCORE (2), WRITTEN IN RED (4)
SUGGESTED BET: POLISHED ROCKS (8) to win
GRINVIL (10) started from gate 7 and finished hard to score over the mile here 4 starts back which made it successive wins. 2 tidy efforts followed her last win and then on Tuesday she was really closing strongly when 1m from BUMPER. Back to mares only company she can steam home to score.
ARTIKULATE MISS (7) started from gate 12 last week in a similar mares qualifier over the mile and was finding the line nicely to share 2nd place in a dead-heat finish. Beaten at red figures off this gate 2 starts back when burring too early, she looks to be right in the mix here.
HAVETOGETAWAYMORE (1) ended up buried away at Redcliffe on Wed night and found the line in good order once seeing space. With a cosy trip from the gate look for her taking inside runs.
CALL ME YOURS (4) was taken back from gate 6 last start and ended up a long way back in the pack. A good 2nd via the passing lane 3 starts back and a liking for the 2138m can see her feature here.
SELECTIONS: GRINVIL (10), ARTIKULATE MISS (7), HAVETOGETAWAYMORE (1), CALL ME YOURS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GRINVIL (10) to win
OUR OVERANOVA (6) was tracking home strongly last start at Redcliffe when finishing within 2m of the winner JETER. He gets back to mobile conditions here which is a big plus and with the amazing record from the mobile in Qld of 16: 14-1-1, he should be notching another win.
MASTER HUGH (2) will take good benefit from his 3rd at Redcliffe when resuming from a break. He found the line strongly in the closing stages and with good speed from the mobile can look to find the pegs 1st and will be fighting hard.
RELEVEN DREAM (5) returned from a break last start from a 30m impost at Redcliffe when working into the race in good style from well back. Fitter for that run he is in with a place chance here.
KIP KEINO (1) will enjoy the cosy trip against the markers here and with the soft trip will have place claims. He worked home well 2 starts back and last start was just too far back.
SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (6), MASTER HUGH (2), RELEVEN DREAM (5), KIP KEINO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR OVERANOVA (6) to win
