RACE TWO

BETTOR BE LUCKY (4) returned a top effort after making errors when only 6m from CLINTAL DO in the Triad Final. Grabbed in the closing stages by PSCYHEDELIC at his next start he took control last time and after a pedestrian first half ripped home to score. He looks to have his chance to go back-to-back.

LUVUMUM (1) makes her Qld debut for Shawn Grimsey and will strip fitter following 1 run back from a spell when hitting the line strongly last time out at Wagga. With a pair of wins and a pair of placings at her past 4 starts, she can get a top trip and be ready to issue the last shot.

DIVAS DELIGHT (7) has the tough gate to negotiate but has been in good touch in his 3 Qld starts this campaign. He did plenty of work last start when fighting hard to go under a neck and will be ready to work here.

MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (8) found his race last start and working to the front from gate 2 took control and ran home a strong half at Redcliffe to score comfortably. With the cosy trip he will be looking for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR BE LUCKY (4), LUVUMUM (1), DIVAS DELIGHT (7), MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-4-7-8

RACE THREE

VETTEL (5) secured a hat-trick of victories when making his Qld debut 2 starts back. Settling in the running line he hit the line hard down the centre of the track to score. Last start he set the tempo from the front when grabbed by the airborne SLICE OF HEAVEN. He looks hard to stop in this.

OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate but if able to see space with track to work with he will be issuing the challenge. He found the line in good style last start behind SLICE OF HEAVEN and 2 runs back went within 2m of BUMPER in slick time. He will be probing.

NOVENA ROSE (3) features in a stable change and will line up for Adam Sanderson for the 1st time. Last seen after doing some work when within 2m of PARISIAN ROCKSTAR, she won’t be far away.

JANUARY (9) watched the speed unfold in front and when angled for the last shot arrived in time to score a nice win a mares qualifier last week. She will be looking to swoop late again here to chime in.

SELECTIONS: VETTEL (5), OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (8), NOVENA ROSE (3), JANUARY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: VETTEL (5) to win

RACE FOUR

PINUP BOY (1)
pressed ahead from gate 4 to find the pegs over the 2138m last start and after getting an easy time of it in the early stages ramped the tempo to peel off a slick sub 28 closer. That followed a tough run from gate 7 over the mile and given a soft trip behind the speed can take the sniper shot.

RUHTREBO (3) is a slick beginner and last start from gate 5 made a quick left hand turn to be on the pegs within 70m and controlling it from the front had 8m to spare on the line. He has built into the season strongly and he will be giving plenty of cheek here.

MISS HOOLLIGAN (6) was a long way back in the run last start and tracked home strongly to grab the silver behind the handy filly DARKERSHADEOFPALE. A winner over this trip 3 starts back she is in the mix.

NADEEEN FRANCO (11) was working early when pressing to the front to take control over the 2138m before being gunned down by KEILOR MISTY. Look for her swooping late in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: PINUP BOY (1), RUHTREBO (3), MISS HOOLLIGAN (6), NADEEEN FRANCO (11)
SUGGESTED BET: PINUP BOY (1) to win

RACE FIVE

THE HARLEM HAMMER (5) was taken back from gate 4 last start and ended up a long way back in the pack and was then against the tempo never saw space and finished down the line behind SKYFELLA CAM. Her run 2 back was a good effort behind NONE BETTOR and this looks much easier.

EVELYN JAY (1) scored in a mares qualifier 4 starts back when sitting in the pocket trail and finishing best in the stretch. In the 3 runs since she has been no closer than gate 7. With the return to the inside alley here she can get a good trip and be ready to take a closing shot.

GREGS LEGACY (4) found his race and pressed ahead to find the pegs and take control here 4 starts back over the mile. Landing gates 7, 7 and 11 since that win, the improved gate will see a sharper performance.

LIVING GRAND (6) started fav last start when finding the position behind the leader but couldn’t go when the sprint went on. He might just find this a little easier than his past few and has claims.

SELECTIONS: THE HARLEM HAMMER (5), EVELYN JAY (1), GREGS LEGACY (4), LIVING GRAND (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THE HARLEM HAMMER (5) to win

RACE SIX

COMPLY OR DIE (5)
wasn’t suited last start over the 2138m trip and with a solid tempo set from the front struggled to work into the contest. His form has tapered off a touch but back to the front line and the mile he can look to fire out and take control from the front.

THE PACMAN (2) was buried away on the pegs 2 starts back and with COMPLY OR DIE setting the tempo from the front was angled off at the top of the straight and had the fresh legs to sprint over the top and score. His run behind HOLY CAMP CLIVE last start had merit and he is right in the fight.

INA GREAT PLACE (9) had been doing a good job in some tougher races and then dropping back to claiming company 2 starts back was forced to work. He cashed-in last start over the 2138m with a good win and is in the mix here.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (8) will need a slice of luck from the gate but does have a good sprint when saved up. Only grabbed right on the line 2 starts back in a strong race he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (5), THE PACMAN (2), INA GREAT PLACE (9), WATTLEBANK FLYER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-5-8-9

RACE SEVEN

BRONSKI MACKENZIE (12) has a tough gate to overcome, but in a tricky little contest she goes on top by virtue of the company she has placed behind at her past 3. She worked in the run last start when cutting the breeze outside RUHTREBO over the 2138m and stuck to her guns in a 27.6 closer.

REGAL ROCK (8) will need plenty of luck from the gate but if able to probe an opening with track to play with can throw down a challenge. Further tightened from his latest run when 3rd up from a break when leading all the way at Marburg, he stays under notice here and just needs an opening.

ARCH EMPRESS (2) hasn’t had the cleanest of runs in the early stages at her past 2 starts which hasn’t helped her cause on either occasion. With better luck at release, she can be an improver.

DATSGOOD (10) was able to breakthrough last start when sent to the front and once in control was able to dictate terms. That was her 1st win of the term after 6 placed runs and she won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI MACKENZIE (12), REGAL ROCK (8), ARCH EMPRESS (2), DATSGOOD (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

MAJOR KIWI (1)
was closing out nicely last start to get within 2m of the winner INA GREAT PLACE in strong time over the 2138m trip. That ended a six win streak that included wins at the sprint and middle distance and with the gate options he can bounce back with a victory.

CHANTREY (5) finished best to score a claiming win 4 starts back and was not far away at his next 2. Last start he took on a handy line-up and hit the line strongly in the closing stages to get within 5m of the winner OUR WALL STREET WOLF.  He looms as a big danger here.

DUKE OF ALBANY (3) couldn’t find position last start and had to drift all the way back to the rear which ended his chances. He drops back to claiming company here and from the gate is in the mix.

EXCEPTIONAL MACH (8) took on a strong M0 race last start and did some work in the run when not too far off the winner TOP TRIO. With a cosy trip from the gate he can chime in to the exotics.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR KIWI (1), CHANTREY (5), DUKE OF ALBANY (3), EXCEPTIONAL MACH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR KIWI (1) to win

RACE NINE

GINGER MICKY (3)
broke through for his 1st victory at career start 3 last time out when leading all the way from gate 1. That followed 2 very impressive performances to be runner-up at his 1st 2 starts. He looks a handy type and can look to grab this by the scruff of the neck.

MY ULTIMATE MAJOR (9) showed the benefit of further fitness when proving too classy from the front last start. 2nd up in that run, his return effort was a tidy performance when sent to the breeze off the 2nd line at Redcliffe and with the right cart into this has some claims.

LEFT A TERROR (4) will take benefit from his last start when returning from a freshen-up and looking to lead all the way set a solid tempo. Only beaten a head by CAPITALIZE in the Breeders he is in the mix.

SEA HAWKE (6) returns from a let-up after he set the tempo in the Breeders when working to the front off gate 5 and was only 3m from the winner. Showing his share of ability thus far, he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: GINGER MICKY (3), MY ULTIMATE MAJOR (9), LEFT A TERROR (4), SEA HAWKE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
