Respected father/son combination of Chris and Anthony Frisby has headed north.

A team of six pacers for the Bathurst based duo have arrived at their new base today (Monday).

As per normal, they will be based down near Tweed Heads.

With the Queensland winter carnival officially underway, the Frisby team will be looking to snare some of the riches on offer in the next eight weeks.

“We really enjoy escaping the winter chills down here and getting to the warmer weather and the Queensland carnival is always fun. Dad (Chris) has taken the team up and we’re happy with the runners we have going up, most have been racing and trialing well so hopefully we can have some luck.” Anthony Frisby said.

Their team includes the richly talented four-year-old Our Uncle Sam plus the likes of Alpha Styx, Holy Camp Clive, Our Chittybangbang, Remember Mac and Our Wall Street Wolf.

Others will be considered over time.

Our Uncle Sam, a 13 times winner with more than $100,000 in earnings will headline the team and will be set for a number of features in the coming weeks.

The Sportswriter gelding has not raced since being unplaced behind Jilliby Kung Fu in 1:48.8 in the Gr.1 $200,000 Chariots Of Fire at TABCORP Park, Menangle back on February 10.

In preparation for his Queensland campaign, he has ventured to the Bathurst trials in the past three weeks and won all of his hit-outs with the latest in 1:55.1 on May 28.

Last season, Our Uncle Same finished fifth in the Queensland Derby behind The More The Better.

Team Frisby have prepared 34 winners to date this season.

Standout performers for the stable this season includes talented three-year-olds Major Occasion (5 wins from 13 starts) and Uncle Ryan (6 wins from 10 starts).
