RACE TWO

In a race where the majority of these are chasing form, RANFURLY RULZ (10) looks to get into this contest under the conditions nicely. Buried in the run 2 starts back, he worked home in good order to garb the bronze behind RANDOM TASK and last start just found the tempo too strong. Despite the gate, this looks his chance.

BAMBOLE NERE (1) was sent to the post as fav last time out from gate 8 at Redcliffe when finishing mid-field behind ALL GOOD WALLY. Starting from the 2nd line at her past 3 in succession, she gets the benefit of the ace gate here and with the options can cash-in.

MONTANA EXPRESS (12) will strip fitter from his latest appearance when resuming from a spell. Settling well back in the pack, he was sound to the line in the closing stages. He will be charging late.

JACKS GAMBIT (8) was buried away in the run last start and never had a clear shot at them. 2 starts back from inside the 2nd line he worked home in good order and with a soft trip here will be probing.

SELECTIONS: RANFURLY RULZ (10), BAMBOLE NERE (1), MONTANA EXPRESS (12), JACKS GAMBIT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: RANFURLY RULZ (10) to win

RACE THREE

LEFT A HURRIKANE (9) had 6 early season starts where he was able to take home a minor on 4 occasions. Starting fav 2 starts back, he led them up and was grabbed in the closing stages by ROLLONX. With the race experience to call on, he only needs even luck in transit to claim this.

OUR BALOU (2) lands the best starting gate of his 5-start career and can look to capitalise. Snagged back from gate 5 last start, he was facing a task from back in the pack with the leader running a sharp closing panel. Showing good improvement at each outing, he can be much sharper here.

SARIE MARAIS (4) was green on debut and having a good look about when finishing down the line. Showing benefit from the experience, she was softened in front last start when fighting gamely to hold on for the bronze. She can be thereabouts again here.

BRIGHTON PRINCE (10) has placed in 2 of 4 career starts, the latest when attacking the line in good order at Redcliffe to grab the silver when 5m from the winner LOVELAINE. He can swoop late again.

SELECTIONS: LEFT A HURRIKANE (9), OUR BALOU (2), SARIE MARAIS (4), BRIGHTON PRINCE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

CROWN MOJO (1)
is a 3YO first starter from the Jason Carkeet barn by Mr Feelgood. Out of the handy race mare ICED BOLLY, he impressed in a recent trial victory when attacking the line in fine style to be first across the line. With the benefit of the ace gate, he can start his career with a bang.

SIRIUS VICKI (8) was buried in the run here 2 starts back and never really had a decent crack at them as FOR ALL WE KNOW set a strong tempo out in front. Finding 1x1 cover last start she was left a little flat when the sprint went on but stuck to the task. With a soft run and some luck, she can feature.

MAC SWEENEY (3) started from the 2nd line on debut at Redcliffe and despite finishing down the line, his run up the stretch had merit. He found the line nicely 2nd up and with the added race experience can chime in here.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (9) has placed in 4 of 7 career starts as he searches for an account opening victory. Holding on for the silver from the pocket trail last start, he can find the minors again here.

SELECTIONS: CROWN MOJO (1), SIRIUS VICKI (8), MAC SWEENEY (3), CHANCELESS CENTURY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CROWN MOJO (1) to win

RACE FIVE

After winning at Redcliffe over the sprint trip 6 starts back, IM TOOT (1) has been unable to land a marble in his 5 runs since which have contributed to his performances. He was forced to race tough in the breeze last start in a fast tempo and 2 back was buried in transit. From the gate he can dictate.

ITSMEGS (5)
will take good benefit from her latest run when 2nd up from a break. Resuming as fav from gate 10 over the Redcliffe 1780m, she was attacking the line nicely to be within 2m of the winner. Not suited when caught outside the leader last start, look for her swooping hard.

ARES (8) proved too strong over this trip here 2 starts back and cruised home to claim a 6m victory. He didn’t have much luck last start when trying to find position and with a soft trip can challenge.

DOMESTIC ART (3) worked home strongly from the 2nd line to claim victory at Marburg 2 starts back and followed that up with a handy 3rd to FLYING WINGARD. From this alley he might need to work.

SELECTIONS: IM TOOT (1), ITSMEGS (5), ARES (8), DOMESTIC ART (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IM TOOT (1) to win

RACE SIX

BROADWATER (6)
rolled forward from gate 5 last start at Redcliffe and doing his share of early work, faded in the latter stages. His run here 2 starts back in similar company to this was a solid effort when closing hard to grab the silver behind FLYING WINGARD. This looks his chance to chalk up the 1st win of 2019.

RANDOM TASK (12) made a successful start to his Qld career when sent to the breeze from gate 10 over the Redcliffe 2040m and proving too strong in taking a 5m victory. His run 3 starts back at Wagga from gate 11 was a nice return and despite the wide gate, he can throw down the challenge.

SON OF MARA (11) covered plenty of the AP oval last start when forced 4-wide with a lap to travel after starting from gate 7 and trying to find position. With a cart into the contest he can feature.

BRONZE ECSTASY (3) made an error last start when locked away and getting keen in behind them. That followed a tough run when forced to work and with better luck from this gate he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BROADWATER (6), RANDOM TASK (12), SON OF MARA (11), BRONZE ECSTASY (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (8) powered home strongly from back in the pack to score in a slightly easier assignment here 3 starts back and followed that with a tidy run under the circumstances from gate 6 at Redcliffe. Hitting the line strongly last start from gate 11, he will be coiled and ready to strike.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (1) looked to have found her race last start when landing this same alley over the Redcliffe 2040m. Crossed soon after the start, she was soon 3 back on the poles and facing a task. Hitting the line nicely when the gaps appeared, she can look to take control here and hold on.

JAMAICAN RESORT (4) was having his 2nd Qld start when taking on the 2138m trip last time out and given the visitors draw in 12. Settling at the rear, he worked home stylishly wide off the track and attacked the line hard to claim victory. That was win 2 from start 6 and he will be right in the fight.

THE MONEY BALL (2) was a winner here 3 starts back when finishing over the top after securing the 1x1 trail in transit. Luckless in 2 runs since where he has had excuses, he can feature in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (8), MAYWYN NO REGRETS (1), JAMAICAN RESORT (4), THE MONEY BALL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE EIGHT

While she will need some factors in her favour and a rub of the green from this alley, JUST SEDUCE ME (8) is worth the risk here. Returning to Qld her 1st up run was an eye-catcher from gate 12 when charging home for the silver. That came off the back of a smart trial and she can arrive for the prize.

OUR BONDI BEACH (2) has been landing some tough gates in stronger races than this lately and should appreciate conditions here. Buried on the pegs last start in a qualifier behind LITTLE CHANGE, the start prior he was from gate 10 behind IAMBOOGIE. He gets his chance to capitalise here.

PAY ME INTEREST (1) has been taking on the mares qualifiers in recent starts and hasn’t been able to land a breakthrough. Luckless when blocked for a run last start, she has the options here.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (11) was looking to make it 2 wins in 4 days on the triangle last Sat night and starting fav from gate 2 couldn’t see it out. He will need the right cart into this but can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: JUST SEDUCE ME (8), OUR BONDI BEACH (2), PAY ME INTEREST (1), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (11)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST SEDUCE ME (8) to win

RACE NINE

ELMAUR JOY (9)
has been freshened since her last appearance when taking on this trip from gate 3 and finishing within 8m of the winner CARDLESFROMHEAVEN. Normally better suited when near the front, she strikes a winnable race here and after racing tougher opponents of late can take this.

SHADOW HUNTER (5) was working hard in the run over the 2040m at Redcliffe 2 starts back and only faded in the closing stages. He looked to have found his race last start and from gate 9 was sent to the post as fav but had to settle for the bronze. From the gate he can be right in the fight.

MORROCH BAY (1) was too far back from gate 11 last start and couldn’t get into the contest with the closing tempo too slick. With the options from the gate he gets his chance to bounce back here.

WEE JIMMY (8) was a long way back in the pack last start from gate 10 at Redcliffe and found the line in good order in a strongly run contest. With a cosy trip on offer he can be probing for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: ELMAUR JOY (9), SHADOW HUNTER (5), MORROCH BAY (1), WEE JIMMY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ELMAUR JOY (9) each-way
