RACE TWO

VALIANT GEM (6) lines up for the Ronny Sallis barn after featuring in a stable switch. He lands another tough gate after facing gates 6 or 10 at his past 3 in succession. 4m from the winner here 3 starts back in a similar race when pressing forward, this doesn’t look overly strong and he can score.

ASHLEE NITRO (8) worked home from back in the pack over the AP mile 2 starts back and the run was a sound effort behind NIFTY STUDLEIGH. Starting fav from gate 2 here last time out, she had no early speed and when working home wide off the track grabbed the silver. She can feature again.

HIGH ON MONTANA (10) led them up early before taking a trail on the hot fav STUDLEIGH SONNY last start and wasn’t far away in a slick mile. Despite gate 1, he is better suited here and has claims.

OUR MASQUERADE (1) is still searching for an elusive maiden breaking win and from the gate should be able to show enough hustle to protect the pegs early. She can fill the exotics.

SELECTIONS: VALIANT GEM (6), ASHLEE NITRO (8), HIGH ON MONTANA (10), OUR MASQUERADE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: VALIANT GEM (6) to win

RACE THREE

GIDUP DARCY (3) will take plenty of experience from his debut outing where he was sent to the post as fav and after looking to take them all the way was only grabbed in the last strides. It was a debut effort after running a sharp opening panel and still fighting late and with that experience can score.

TALENT IN SPADES (4) is slowly starting to put it together and after successive placings here at Redcliffe was taken to AP. Settling back in the pack from gate 4, she found them a little out of reach at this stage and with the return to the triangle will be right in the fight here.

CAM YOU FEEL IT (9) is a Mr Feelgood colt on debut for Damo Shaw out of the un-raced mare If Only I Cam. Trained on the track here at Redcliffe, he stays under notice.
THATS FUNNY (1) has placed once after 6 appearances and should appreciate this after taking on a Sales Series heat last start. With the options from the gate he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GIDUP DARCY (3), TALENT IN SPADES (4), CAM YOU FEEL IT (9), THATS FUNNY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GIDUP DARCY (3) to win

RACE FOUR

COBBLER LANE (8)
has placed in both starts since arriving in Qld with the Warren Hinze barn. He worked home from back in the pack to find the line in good style last time out over the AP mile and after starting from the 2nd line in both local starts, he can get the right trip early and this looks to fit.

WEE JIMMY (10) was working home wide off the track last start when finishing 6m from the winner MY ULTIMATE HELL. 3 starts back he was strong from the breeze when fighting on to hold 2nd when 4m from the winner. This looks an easier assignment and he can overcome the gate.

MONTEREY JACK (5) should appreciate this class of opponent after meeting some slightly stronger opponents in recent outings. Not suited against the tempo last time out, he will be right in the fight.

TOTAL DELIRIUM (2) has been runner-up in 2 outings since returning from a break, the latest when charging home late along the passing lane. Firing the 1st shot here, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: COBBLER LANE (8), WEE JIMMY (10), MONTEREY JACK (5), TOTAL DELIRIUM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: COBBLER LANE (8) to win

RACE FIVE

SHADOW HUNTER (9) did plenty of work last start when pressing on to face the breeze from gate 4. Forcing the issue, it was a sharp opening split of the 2040m trip with the pressure taking its toll in the closing stages. 3 starts back he charged home late when beaten a pimple and this looks his chance.

ALL GOOD WALLY (2) made an error here 3 starts back and did well under the circumstances to be within 4m of the winner. Forget his next run, he then bounced back with an all the way win after running even panels over the sprint trip. From this gate he can settle handy and will be in the fight.

COAST WARNING (1) speared out from gate 4 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back and taking control was never in danger, cruising home to a big 24m victory. The longer trip is the query, but the gate gives him every hope.

BRONZE ECSTASY (6) made an error last start over the AP 2138m trip which proved costly and ended his chances. He hit the line strongly 2 starts back when 8m in arrears and won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW HUNTER (9), ALL GOOD WALLY (2), COAST WARNING (1), BRONZE ECSTASY (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

With a powerful front-running display 3 starts back, MAYWYN NO REGRETS (1) was able to break the Marburg track record when stopping the clock in a sizzling 1.57.2 around the tight 700m circuit. Not suited off 2nd line gates at her past 2 outings, she gets the chance to dictate from the ace.

RAGING INFERNO (9) has placed at his past 3 starts, the latest when collared in the closing stages after looking to take them all the way over the AP mile. Making the most of good alleys when leading in 4 of his 5 Qld appearances, he can look for a cart home here and be finishing hard.

THATS BETTOR (2) was game in taking the prize last start when facing the breeze and pulling clear to claim a 13m victory with a sharp closing panel. She might need to work again here, but will be in for the fight.

CALL ME TRISH (3) attacked the line strongly last start when 7m from the winner STUDLEIGH SONNY to grab the silver. Still looking for a maiden-breaking win, she has placed in 8 of her past 10 starts.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYN NO REGRETS (1), RAGING INFERNO (9), THATS BETTOR (2), CALL ME TRISH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYN NO REGRETS (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

BROADWATER (5) found the line in good order last start to grab the silver over the AP sprint trip, running a solid closing panel in the process. Forced to chase home from back in the pack 2 starts back behind ESCALERA, he can press forward and will throw down a challenge.

MONTANA CHIEF (10) started from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and was soon locked away on the pegs and searching for open space. When the gaps arrived, it was too late and he had to settle for the silver. A nice winner on the grass at Kilcoy last time out, he can overcome the gate.

ARES (4) proved too strong for his opponents last start when facing the breeze and pulling clear to claim a 6m victory. Grabbed late when looking to lead at Marburg the start prior, he can place here.

LAUGHING EMOJI (8) will make her 1st appearance at the triangle as she looks to score an elusive Qld victory. Within 5m of the winner JUSTALITTLE TORQUE 2 starts back, she can’t be ignored.

SELECTIONS: BROADWATER (5), MONTANA CHIEF (10), ARES (4), LAUGHING EMOJI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BROADWATER (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (9)
shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins here on the triangle at the 1780m and 2040m. Sliding forward to the breeze last start he packed too many guns to claim victory from the breeze. That followed an easy victory from the front and despite the tricky gate can arrive.

MACH TORQUE (2) found her race last start and from gate 6 proved too strong in claiming a 3m win. Her run 3 starts back was a nice effort when hitting the line strongly to be 5m from the winner KEY LARGO, with her run 2 back a forget run when striking trouble. From the gate she is a threat.

DONNY JONES (1) proved too strong at Marburg 2 starts back, running home a nice closing 800m panel in the process. Angled to the pegs for the short-cuts last start, he can use his early speed here.

HEAVENS HURRICANE (8) scored a 6m victory last start when finishing over the top from the 1x1 trail. He can land in a handy position from this gate and will be looking to blow home late.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (9), MACH TORQUE (2), DONNY JONES (1), HEAVENS HURRICANE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

GREGS LEGACY (9)
settled in the 1x1 trail last start but couldn’t go on with it when mid-field behind IMA BIRUBI BOY in a strong mile at AP last start. 2 starts back he was never a factor when snagging back from gate 7 with VASARI scorching the track in front. With some early tempo he can swoop.

CELTIC CRUZA (5) rolled to the breeze last start and was in for the fight when holding on for the bronze behind the in-form UNASSUMING CHAMP in a strong closing 800m. Forced to retreat when he couldn’t find position the start prior, he can roll the sleeves here and will be duking it out.

HEZ RAZOR SHARP (2) will strip fitter from his latest outing when resuming from a break. The run had merit when snagging back from gate 6 at AP and with good early speed can fire the 1st shot here.

MISTER HART (1) has worked his way back into some better form and last start went within a half-head of the winner on the grass at Kilcoy. With the options from the gate he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: GREGS LEGACY (9), CELTIC CRUZA (5), HEZ RAZOR SHARP (2), MISTER HART (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-9
