RACE TWO

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (3) will search for a hat-trick of victories after successive wins at Redcliffe, the latest when taking them all the way over the 2040m. Settling in the running line the start prior over the sprint trip and then finishing over the top, he can settle handy to the action and claim the threepeat.

ROGER THAT (2) made the most of the ace gate at Redcliffe 2 starts back, taking them all the way over the sprint trip, running a smart closing 800m panel in the process. Snagged back from gate 7 last start over the 2138m, he attacked the line late to be 2m from the winner and can challenge.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (7) doesn’t have any favours from the wide gate, yet he might just find this a shade or 2 easier than what he has been meeting in recent starts. 3rd to TIZ A SIZZLER 2 starts back, he has podium hopes.

HAVANA MOON (6) has worked his way back to form, winning 3 of his past 5 starts. 6m in arrears last start after stuck to the poles and searching for space, he can be looking to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (3), ROGER THAT (2), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (7), HAVANA MOON (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

SHEZ ALL STYLE (1) started from this same gate over the mile in the Gold Pot Final last start when releasing the speed. With the cosy run in transit, she then held on for the silver behind the winner GOLIGHTLY. A passing lane winner of her heat in that series, with the easy trip she can take the snipers shot again here.

BOMBADIER JUJON (8) was looking for the hat-trick in the Triad Final, when beaten by gate 7 and always facing a task behind GOVERNOR JUJON. Finishing best from gate 5 over this trip 2 starts back, he will be needing a slice of luck as he looks set to be buried here. If the gaps arrive, he can threaten.

LAUGHING EMOJI (6) pushed through from the 2nd line over this trip last start to position outside the leader. Rolling the sleeves and grinding it out, she was too tough in claiming a nice win. She can throw it down again.

NOTORIUS (3) set the tempo in the same contest when put to bed by LAUGHIN EMOJI, finishing 7m in deficit. A winner over the mile the start prior, he can look to put the early heat into this.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ ALL STYLE (1), BOMBADIER JUJON (8), LAUGHING EMOJI (6), NOTORIUS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-6-8

RACE FOUR

After returning from a spell with the 3YO Triad Consolation firmly on the hit-list as the 1st up target, WILL THE WIZARD (2) was forced to race tough and after getting keen, choked off and ended his chances. Trialling with a sharp hit-out in strong time, he can look for atonement in dictating here.

BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (6) might prove more than capable of defeating her better drawn stable-mate here. Starting to put all together, the head-strong filly has now won 3 of her past 5, the latest when cruising to the front from gate 7 and taking them all the way. She looms as the threat.

TUAPKEA LIGHT (8) resumes form a spell in having her 1st race outing as a 4YO and will be 1st up in 12 months. Yet to miss a cheque in 8 Aus outings, she was a smart last start winner at Redcliffe back in June of 2019 and will be probing for openings here.

ALBION ARK (3) should appreciate this class of contest after finishing down the line behind GOVERNOR JUJON in the 3YO Triad Final last start. Settling handy from this gate he is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (2), BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (6), TUAPKEA LIGHT (8), ALBION ARK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WILL THE WIZARD (2) to win

RACE FIVE

BETTATHANIDEAL (3)
has been to the track on 3 occasions this campaign and should be getting closer to a fitness peak. Placed in all 3 appearances, the latest was a tough 3rd after floating forward to cut the breeze and holding on for 3rd to GOLIGHTLY in the Gold Pot Final. Against this opposition, this assignment looks bettathanideal.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (8) settled back in the pack last start over the Redcliffe 1780m and when put into the contest, was closing out nicely to finish 3m in arrears of the winner. Striking trouble the start prior, yet still not finishing too far off them, if he can find the right rub of the green, he can chime in.

BRIGHTON PRINCE (7) started from inside the 2nd line last start in the Gold Pot Final and was probing for gaps when finishing in 4th position. The gate stings his chances here, but he can be thereabouts.

BLUE SHARD (4) found the pocket trail from gate 3 last start and with the cosy trip was able to hold on for the silver behind BETTERTHANDIAMONDS. He can be in the mix here with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: BETTATHANIDEAL (3), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (8), BRIGHTON PRINCE (7), BLUE SHARD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3 / 4-7-8

RACE SIX

GOOD AS IT GETS (4) opened his season account here 3 starts back when pouncing on the poles from gate 5 over the mile and once in control the result was never in doubt. Tough in the breeze outside MONTANA LAD in a Gold Pot heat, he was beaten by gate 7 in the final. He looks tough to stop.

ELZBOY (1) has been winless for 12 months now, however a return to victory lane is not far off after finishing as the runner-up at his past 3 in succession. Buried in transit last start from inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe, he was closing in good order. Luckless the start prior, the gate is a big plus here.

MISS BLUE GLORY (9) capitalised on an economical trip last start over the 2138m after securing the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line and finishing best to score. With added confidence, she can feature.

VANTORI HANOVER (7) was sent forward last start from gate 5 and did it the tough way when cutting the breeze, fighting gamely for the silver. The gate stings, but she will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: GOOD AS IT GETS (4), ELZBOY (1), MISS BLUE GLORY (9), VANTORI HANOVER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GOOD AS IT GETS (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

COMMODORE JUJON (6)
started from this gate last outing in a qualifier over the 2138m when eased back to find position. Settling well back in the field, he was too far back as the tempo made it tough for the back-markers. Hitting the line in nice order to grab 2nd in the Triad Final the start prior, this looks a winnable contest.

ARK ME (4) speared out to find the pegs prior to releasing last start and then used the passing lane to grab the silver when 1.5m in arrears of the winner LAUGHING EMOJI. Too far back in the mares Triad Final the start prior, she can settle close to the speed here and look to issue the challenge.

CALLMEDEMARO (3) pressed through from the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe when sent out as fav and was then obliged to do it the tough way in the breeze prior to fading. He can be sharper.

MONTANA LAD (5) made the most of taking on the lamp lighting duties in a Gold Pot heat here 2 starts back, leading throughout. Beaten by a wide gate and the tempo in the Final, he can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (6), ARK ME (4), CALLMEDEMARO (3), MONTANA LAD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (4) ducked and weaved in the run before eventually being the widest runner down the stretch, attacking the line strongly to get within a head of the winner. Eased back from the mobile 3 starts back prior to charging home for 2nd, she can go one better this week.

SOH TWISTED (2) broke a run of outs that had extended almost 4 years here last week when stepping to the front and dictating terms, holding on to score a narrow victory. With the confidence from winning and staying on the front tape, she can look to repeat the effort here.

KAPAI (5) returns from a spell following an error back in Feb that saw him banished to the trials. Earning the return, he has the 30m to overcome, but trotting cleanly can feature in this line-up.

EL SWAVO (3) sat in the trail last start and looked set to go straight past the leader and winner SOH TWISTED in the stretch. Just stalling, he was within 1.5m of the prize and can go close again here.

SELECTIONS: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (4), SOH TWISTED (2), KAPAI (5), EL SWAVO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (4) to win

RACE NINE

If you didn’t see the replay of the win of MISS MAIA (4) last week, do yourself a favour and go back and watch it. The filly was having her 1st start in Qld and had no right to win the race after looking to have thrown it away on the home turn. Somehow, she won it and despite the 10m, just needs to trot to go 2 from 2 for the Butler stable.

AURORA (3) was a smart winner on debut and has been runner-up at both subsequent starts. Last outing, she loomed up and looked to have the race in the bag until MISS MAIA sprouted wings and charged through the pack. With the right trip she can again make a play for the prize.

SHEGOTSASS (5) threw her chances away last start when making an error, losing too much ground to make up the deficit. Still making good closing metres, if she brings her manners, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: MISS MAIA (4), AURORA (3), SHEGOTSASS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MAIA (4) to win
