RACE TWO

GINATIANO (1) has been to the track 3 times since returning from a spell and showed a liking for a return to The Triangle after the first 2 runs back were at The Creek. Pressing forward to find the breeze here last start, she was grinding it out when 4m in arrears of the winner as a beaten fav. The gate is a big plus with the availing options.

OLIVER WINKLE (8) is the main danger and if he brings anything near his peak, he will be hard to hold out in this contest. Setting a strong tempo in front last start over this trip, he could not maintain the rage, wilting to 4th in the field of 8. Kept fresh since that outing, he can make the challenge.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (3) should enjoy a front-line gate here after her past 3 have been from the 2nd line. Searching for openings when buried away last start, this is the right type of race for her to feature.

ROLLONX (4) resumes from a spell, shutdown after his last run as a 3YO back in November. Runner-up when only a neck away here 3 starts back, he has sharp moves out of the machine and stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: GINATIANO (1), OLIVER WINKLE (8), TRUNKEY DIGGER (3), ROLLONX (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GINATIANO (1) to win

RACE THREE

FORTYFIVE ROCK (2)
made an error 2 starts back in a Trot Rods event that ended his night which had followed a tough trip from a wide gate over the 2040m. From the six-hole here on Thursday, he was rifled off the arm, found the front and fought them off to score in a new career PB. With the improved gate for this assignment, rinse, and repeat.

RISKY BUZINESS (1) has not been suited at his past 3 starts where he has been forced to overcome 2nd line barriers on each occasion. Not assisted when hitting a scrimmage last start either, the improved alley is a huge plus and tucked in behind, he can look to take the closing shot in this.

PATCHWORK JET (3) was a winner from gate 9 over this trip 3 starts back when powering over the top of them to score. Facing 2nd line barriers in all 3 starts since that win, he can chime in here from the improved alley.

GWENDALION (8) had placed at her past 2 starts here on this surface prior to her appearance here on Thursday when down the line from a 2nd line gate. With even luck, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FORTYFIVE ROCK (2), RISKY BUZINESS (1), PATCHWORK JET (3), GWENDALION (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1-3-8

RACE FOUR

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1)
started from the 2nd line last time out over the AP 2138m and the run was full of merit when finishing 7m in arrears of the winner despite making an error in transit. Snagged back from gate 7 the start prior and striking trouble, he has the gate to make his own luck here.

LIFES BLACK (3) should appreciate a front-line gate after his past 2 have been from the 2nd row. Making a sustained run wide off the track last start, he continued to give over the 2040m as GOOD AS IT GETS controlled it in front. With a sound effort the start prior behind BOMBADIER JUJON, he is in the mix.

ETERNAL PROMISE (4) has a smart record in her limited exposure here at the Peninsula Paceway, landing 3 wins and a 2nd in 4 attempts. Last start she could not go with them when the power went on in a sizzling 27.3 third panel up front as SCARLET BABE scored. This looks more suitable.

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (2) will strip fitter from his latest appearance when returning from a spell after joining the Garrard stable. Not too far from the winner MAJOR MUCHA, he can settle close enough to feature in this.

SELECTIONS: KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1), LIFES BLACK (3), ETERNAL PROMISE (4), PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1) to win

RACE FIVE

BARBOO (2) has placed at 3 of his past 5 starts and while he is yet to cash-in this season, he has found the perfect conditions here to alter that anomaly. Runner-up to ROCKNROLL PROMISE here last time out from gate 1, he looks set to fire the early shots here and can prevail thereafter.

OFFICE BAD BOY (8) started from gate 1 over the AP 2138m trip 2 starts back and was soon shuffled to 3 back against the poles. Probing for clear space, he was strong to the line when 2m in arrears of the winner and followed that with a down the line effort here when just too far back. He can be sharper in this.

BUTCHERFEELGOOD (3) eased from gate 7 over the AP mile 2 starts back last start and was trying to make a closing rally when midfield. Finding conditions to suit here on Thursday when powering home in the closing stages to score, she will throw it down here.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (6) does not receive many favours from this gate, but she has a good strike-rate here at The Triangle. Not suited last start from a wide gate in a Trot Rods, she stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: BARBOO (2), OFFICE BAD BOY (8), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (3), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BARBOO (2) to win

RACE SIX

He has been thereabouts in recent appearances and if WAVEDANCER (5) is ever going to take a stride down victory lane again, it would be hard to see him get any better chance than what he finds here. Runner-up last start when 3m from ALLY PINK, he worked home strongly 3 starts back for 3rd. This looks his to lose.

TIMSTAR (9) is still a maiden from 15 outings and comes up with the wide gate off the 2nd line, but he might just be a chance of landing in the money here. A runner-up here 4 runs back, he backed that up with a 3rd despite making an error at his next outing. With even luck he can feature.

SOMEWHEREINHEAVEN (1) has the lone win to her name when scoring in October of 2019 and while that may not be in danger of changing, the inside gate in this line-up is certainly a big plus.

CHANG (2) started from a wide gate last time out at Marburg when snagged back to settle at the rear and look for luck. It has been a while since he tasted success, the gate helps in this.

SELECTIONS: WAVEDANCER (5), TIMSTAR (9), SOMEWHEREINHEAVEN (1), CHANG (2)
SUGGESTED BET: WAVEDANCER (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

FEELING THE POWER (8)
was certainly feeling it here last week when settling back in the pack before descending upon them at the 400m with a strong challenge, cruising past and then easing down to a big 17m victory. That was from this same gate and there is no reason why a repeat performance cannot occur.

ALLY PINK (6) has hit some nice areas in recent outings, lining up here with 2 wins in her past 4 starts. Finding the pocket trail from gate 3 last start, she had the closing bullets to fire and hit the target for a smart win. The gate stings, but she can be chiming in here.

NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (4) might not have much by way of numerical form next to her name, but this is the type of race where she can improve. With early speed, she can be in the firing line to feature.

SCHOOBY (3) returns from a spell after he was sent for a break after his last performance on the grass at Kilcoy back in January. Settling close to the action can see him feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: FEELING THE POWER (8), ALLY PINK (6), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (4), SCHOOBY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FEELING THE POWER (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

He only has the one career victory to his name but in the favour of the NSW visitor HAPPY PUBLICANS (8) is the fact that win came here at this track. He has not really fired a decent shot in 4 runs this campaign, but he has found the perfect race to make it win number two.

GOLDEN GRIN (1) was first up following a barn switch last time out when tackling maiden company and finishing in the 2nd half of the pack. Buried in the run on that occasion, she comes up with an improved alley where she can look to take full advantage.

VERMONT (4) has been to the track 3 times this campaign and has left with the tail firmly between the legs on each occasion. This shapes as the right type of contest for a sharper return.

LEAPING LEO (7) started from this same alley last start and was soon shuffled out of contention back against the poles. He looks set to be buried again but looms as a podium hope with the easy trip.

SELECTIONS: HAPPY PUBLICANS (8), GOLDEN GRIN (1), VERMONT (4), LEAPING LEO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HAPPY PUBLICANS (8) to win

RACE NINE

YANKEE DANCER (4) arrives in Qld as part of the visiting Rickie Alchin team and brings sound form around the NSW provincials. Runner-up at Goulburn 2 starts back after showing some early hustle, she was forced to work hard last start over the 2125m at Newcastle. This looks within reach.

CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (3) was taken off the gate last start over the AP mile and was soon too far back to make a closing play as FEELS LIKA BOSS arrived. Hitting the line in nice order here 2 starts back for 2nd to JAY DEE BE ROLLIN, the improved gate is a big plus to his chances.

FIRE ME UP (5) had been building towards a win and was able to frank that when scoring here 2 starts back from the 2nd line. Quickly backing that up with another win here last start, the threepeat is attainable.

ESTARDAY (7) has no favours from this alley and will be needing a rub of the green in her favour to get the gaps in time. Hitting the line strongly 2 starts back for 2nd, she will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: YANKEE DANCER (4), CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (3), FIRE ME UP (5), ESTARDAY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-4-5-7
