SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (5) has been runner-up his past 2 starts in a Gold Pot series, working hard in the heat outside PATERNITY SUIT and then crossed early in gate 1 and a neck 2^nd in the Final behind OUR MAJOR DAY. This is an easier assignment despite the gate and he can breakthrough.

STATEMENT PLEASE (1) was runner-up again on Tuesday to make it 4 out of 8 this term that she has to be content with the silver medal. She is getting closer to the 1^st win of the season, but she strikes her talented stable-mate here and looks likely to have to wait another week.

RACE TWO

FOURSHARESMOREBEERS (7) shoots for the hat-trick after working to the front last week off a 10m impost over this same trip and once in control was never pressured and sprinted home a nice 28.1 closing panel. He moves back another 10m but that doesn’t look to be an issue and he can go again.

RELEVEN DREAM (9) started fav last week off this same mark and was making a late challenge but making ground in the 28.1 set at the front was too hard to reel in. He gets 10m closer this time and will be working into it strongly.

RACE THREE

THE HARLEM HAMMER (2) found the front last start over the 2138m before releasing and then scored the passing lane win. That followed a late closing 2^nd off the 2^nd line. With good early speed she can be 1^st to the pegs again and with the release option looks hard to stop.

IM NORMA JEAN (3) had been racing stronger types and doing ok from bad gates then on Tues looked to have her chance over the 2138m. Leading deep into the stretch she was grabbed up the passing lane. She can roll forward and back to the 1660m is right in this.

RACE FOUR

MACH SAM (2) returned from a break and put up a pair of handy runs in a Gold Pot series with the run in the final where he held his ground. He found a nice breakthrough race at Redcliffe last start and from this gate can take the early shot and be looking to hold them off.

ONLY ONE PROMISE (3) had the pocket trail last start and was able to get within a half-head of LISA LINCOLN to claim 2^nd.  That followed a 2^nd to the smart AQUA MISS and 3 back run into FAME

RACE FIVE

JACKS AT THE BEACH (7) had been racing well and 3 starts back went within a half-head of PSCYHEDELIC after only being grabbed late. On Sat night in the Aspirational he worked hard in a strong opening panel to bully his way to the front and once in control held on to score by 5m. He faces a tricky gate but can go forward and to force the issue here.

MONKSEATON (1) secured the pocket trail in a mares qualifier 3 starts back and held on for 2nd behind COTTON COLD CANDY. Holding the front over the 2138m trip last start she released and then made the winning sling up the passing lane. With the options from the gate she can go close.

WITH AUTHORITY (8) will need some luck here but he follows out a strong beginner and will just need the passing lane with momentum to finish over the top. He hit the line in good style last start in a qualifier behind GERONIMO BEAU. He looks to get his shot here.

THE ENDEAVOUR (1) has been forced to work in the run at his past 3 starts when unable to get to the pegs and that is not his go. His runs have still been good, but with the chance to hold them out here he will be gripping on deep into the stretch.

RACE SEVEN

OUR MELS DREAM (9) is the undisputed King of the Claimers in Qld, defending his Crown last start to make it successive Final victories. He pressed ahead to take up the running last start and kept the speed on all the way to keep them chasing. He will need some factors to go his way in transit, but he is in the zone and looks mighty hard to stop.

MOHEGAN SUN (3) hasn’t been too far away in recent starts and has been forced to play 3^rd string to his stablemates who are both flying- OUR MELS DREAM and COMPPLY OR DIE. He finds the right gate here and can look to settle closer and even given his shot from the front, can go close.
