FORM ANALYSIS BY DARREN CLAYTON - @DASHMAN01

Speed maps are based on recent and anticipated racing patterns. For important changes of tactics which may affect the accuracy of this speed map follow @QRICstewards on Twitter.

RACE ONE

BAZZAS ART (5)
made a successful Qld debut when taking out a qualifier on Sat night. Sent forward from gate 5 he found top and once in control had too much in reserve to hold them off. The wider gate will be tricky but he can go forward again and look to make it 2 from 2.

CHATTANOOGACHOOCHOO (1) found the pocket trail from gate 5 at AP 2 starts back and using the passing lane was able to get within 3m of the winner KOTARE YORK. With the options from the gate he can release the right runner and be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BAZZAS ART (5), CHATTANOOGACHOOCHOO (1), ZARAS DELIGHT (4), RARING TO GO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-5

RACE TWO

COULDNTBETOLD (2) was a strong winner 3 starts back when facing the breeze and scoring a classy win. His past 2 starts have been at Albion Park in much stronger races where he has been 7m from the airborne SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE and hit the line strongly last start. Back to the triangle suits.

DAPPER (7) returns from a spell and has won 2 of his past 4 starts. His win 2 starts back was a stylish effort over the 2040m trip when leading throughout and running a strong closing 800m section. He will need a slice of luck from this gate but can feature with the right run.

SELECTIONS: COULDNTBETOLD (2), DAPPER (7), WESTERN JEWELS (3), SHERIFF JUJON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COULDNTBETOLD (2) to win

RACE THREE

MACH SAM (9) faces another tough alley and will be relying on some early pressure to soften those up front. Last start from gate 4 he was working 3 wide the last 900m and fought hard to the line for 3rd. With the even luck in transit he can finish over the top.

ILLAWONG LIVELY (1) was a winner here 4 starts back over this trip when able to hold the front from this same gate and held on for a head margin. Not suited from the 2nd line 2 starts back, he can look for a cosy trip and will be looking to challenge.

SELECTIONS: MACH SAM (9), ILLAWONG LIVELY (1), TASCOTT LADY (7), PITTSWORTH MAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

ALWAYS A JEWEL (1)
resumed from a spell here 3 starts back over the 1780m trip and after landing gate 6 went back early before finishing over the top for a nice win. Beaten by her full-sister WESTERN JEWELS last start, her run last start had merit after striking trouble. From the gate she gets her chance.

IPANEMA BEACH (5) worked hard in the run last start at AP when rolling forward from gate 6 to face the breeze. 2 starts back she made an error and never featured. This looks a more suitable assignment and she has claims.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS A JEWEL (1), IPANEMA BEACH (5), BIG BEAT (6), MY SECRET TORQUE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS A JEWEL (1) to win

RACE FIVE

PURE MADNESS (2) looked to take them all the way last start at AP and after finding the front off gate 3 was run-down in the final 50m. That followed a Rising Stars final appearance and with the speed to find the pegs first can look to dictate.

LOCKTON ART (1) claimed the bronze 3 starts back after being buried away and hitting the line strongly over the 2040m trip. Her past 2 starts at AP have been fair efforts and taking a trail here can look to offer the closing shot.

SELECTIONS: PURE MADNESS (2), LOCKTON ART (1), BUDDY BABCOCK (7), ARCHIECANO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PURE MADNESS / LOCKTON ART (1/2) Quinella

RACE SIX

TELLELLA (1)
has now had 3 runs back from a break and should be approaching peak fitness. Starting from the 2nd line in her past 2 starts she was rattling home late at her most recent outing and fell just short when beaten 1m. She lands the ace and gets her chance to dictate terms for the 1st time.

NEVERHAVEIEVER (4) made the most of a cosy trip here 2 starts back and used the passing lane to arrive in time for victory. She was hitting the line strongly last start after settling back in the pack and can issue a strong challenge in this field.

SELECTIONS: TELLELLA (1), NEVERHAVEIEVER (4), LONG LEGS LOU (7), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TELLELLA (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

RUFFALO (2) has started twice since joining the Darrel Graham barn with both starts at AP from wide gates when finishing at the rear of the field, the latest in a much stronger contest taken out by BETTOR BE LUCKY. With the improved gate he can turn his fortunes around and can give them something to chase.

BONNIE JUJON (3) was a strong winner from gate 5 here 4 starts back when cutting the breeze from gate 5 and proving too strong. Her past 2 have been in a Gold Pot final from tough draws behind COREY WILLIAM and MAYWYNS COURAGE. With a good trip here she can challenge.

SELECTIONS: RUFFALO (2), BONNIE JUJON (3), JAZZY ARTIST (4), NONE BETTOR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-4-7

RACE EIGHT

HIGH CLOUD LASS (2)
has been runner-up at her past 5 starts in succession, beaten no further than a head in any of the past 3 starts. In a similar contest here 2 starts back she started fav and worked hard in the run and dug in for the fight. A safe beginner she can find the front here and look to control.

ASTRAL RULER (7) was making good ground in the closing stages last week to get within 10m of the winner after starting from a 30m impost. He has been campaigning well without landing a blow and back to the triangle where his record is a win and a 2nd from 2 attempts, he can be right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: HIGH CLOUD LASS (2), ASTRAL RULER (7), WIRRA STORM (3), LAVROS SEGIL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HIGH CLOUD LASS (2) to win
