RQ confirms that following consultation with the QRIC & Townsville Turf Club, the race meeting scheduled to be run at Cluden Park on Saturday 3 March has been postponed & rescheduled to Tuesday 6 March.
The reschedule has been necessary following a full inspection of the track and other venue facilities, a process undergone as a consequence of the extreme levels of rainfall Townsville & its surrounding areas have received over the past 72 hours.
The race fields (acceptances) for the meeting which were released today, Thursday 1 March, will be retained & any scratchings declared thus far reinstated for Tuesday’s meeting.
All other detail pertaining to the race meeting remains as has been previously published & race times for the meeting will be confirmed at short notice.
A further inspection & assessment of the Cluden Park track & venue facilities will be conducted on Sunday 4 March.
